Edinburgh V Berwick (ko-cup-2nd Leg) 25/7/14 @ 7.30pm

Another thoroughly depressing meeting at the "San Siro" of Scottish speedway! Total dross! The "incredible" patter is cringeworthy too! Berwick didn't look particularly interested and the monarchs can only beat what is put in front of them! No entertainment at all, those fans that slaughtered Berwick's track for no passing must of had a severe case of déjà vu tonight! With the exception of people making mistakes! -

It was pouring constantly in Kilbarchan for more than a day! Hope we get some action today!! -
I will go out on a limb here and say Lambert is probably earmarked for a move to the dark side later in the season and that is why Harkess has blocked the move! Would take Christian back to the Tigers in a heartbeat!

Lesse Bjerre is a tadger! JG should of taught him not to mess with people up here! He mixes ambition with ability which is a dangerous game in this sport -

A very enjoyable meeting apart from Dmitri at the end! Jesus wasn't his usual self! UO came good and Jacobs was pretty good! For Glasgow, Kevin came good and showed a bit if grit! DB was outstanding, TP & RH were good until their falls! We should of won by more though! Onwards and upwards -
I sincerely hope he doesn't sign for us!

Maybe it is Glasgow's turn to get £15k from Worky this year? Maybe it is Glasgow's turn to get £15k from Worky this year?
-
Regarding the last comment I made I had been told from a usually reliable source that we were interested in them! They wouldn't be my choice! Now that Berge has signed I'd like Ringwood, Vissing and Magnus Karlson to complete the team!

Wolbert and Sneddon next

Wee Joe put half a point on his starting average, which isn't much but it was his first year in PL. I'd say Harley was finding his feet and had put a couple of decent scores together, not a world beater but seeing most places for the first time and coping with being away from home. James Wright was a huge gamble and it blew up on us spectacularly. His form has been on a downward spiral for a couple of years. I'd take the Fish in a heartbeat. Pure entertainer. It was tough viewing last year. It isn't untested riders I'm looking for. First and foremost we need a team that will dominate at home I did say I'd be happy to have Theo in the team I would just prefer to see new faces about the club.
-
Last year we gambled on 2 unknown Aussie boys (who done well), Joe Jacobs who certainly didn't disgrace himself and James Wright. Joe and James were winding down throughout the year(quite rightly so) and Henning just wasn't consistent enough. So out of the new faces last year, who let us down? I am not saying bring in new untried riders, I would just like a new look team of proven PL riders that haven't rode for us before.
-
I'm serious. I would like to see as fresh a team as possible. Obviously Rusty and Anders are back, I'd retain Joey Ringwood at reserve but 4 fresh faces would be welcome. I would much rather have Claus Vissing who's average is almost a point less than Theo's!
-
I genuinly can't see the appeal of signing Theo! The year we won the league he finished at reserve! If we are struggling for riders I would happily take him back to the stripes but would not be a first pick!
-
I have it on good authority Richard unfortunately won't be signing for the Stripes this year!
-
Would glass cheques do?
-
I'd start with getting Ringwood and Thomsen signed for the reserve berths. Doolan and Lawson would be a very useful top 2. Lawson should be an even better rider now with the experience gained from Lakeside next year. Not sure about the rest. I dare say we will have someone from the East as Edinburgh have more or less said the are signing Cook for next year and starting with two 3 pointers at reserve. Please no Henning, far too inconsistent.

Don't want to say too much about James G, his contribution over the years is second only to God himself! I think he is looking at his future, I dare say the kids are a far higher priority to him! (Rightly so)) -

I reckon withe new averages we could fit Karlsson in and get rid of Bager! Take pressure off of Wright! That is if he gets released from the Lions to make way for Roynon! The promotion can't be nice/sentimental! They will undo all the hard work they have done -

JW and HB must go! JJ, HH and JR are doing their jobs! jW is a shadow of himself! He knows that track inside out but looked amateurish! Henning can ride it too, seen him in the wet last year looking great! Looked terrible ltonight! -
