  1. Well said. KB had acknowledged the fans in his interview then moved on to how it has/would affect him. (The main point of interviewing a RIDER). People aren't going to stop supporting speedway because riders aren't blowing smoke up the fans' backsides.
  2. I am pretty sure he was been interviewed for his reaction to what is going on. Of course he is mainly going to talk about himself. If the SS wanted a fans view they would of interviewed a fan.
  3. What is good for the goose ........................
  4. I am surprised the chosen few didn't announce it on the Glasgow thread.
  5. Sad news indeed. Feel for everyone involved. Couldn't of been an easy decision after building a team for this coming season. Hope to see you in 2020
  6. My predictions for 2020 are 1) Everyone will still hate the Glasgow promotion for trying to run the club professionally 2) The same tadgers will still be on here with their "well known sources" talking crap.
  7. Some Mr Blobby levels of investigation there.
  8. Certainly not bitter about Sarj coming back. If he could get his own bikes it would be a good start though. I personally wouldn't of picked Sarj, Cook or Jensen this season though.
  9. Ooft, the irony is strong with this one. The Tigers thread is full of Comets mud slinging etc You are obviously very bitter about Jensen coming up north.
  10. This had been suggested on the Glasgow thread. Never would the holiest of holy Comets ever do such a thing. They are the only sacred spirits in the world of speedway just now.
  11. Just out of curiosity, where did the contempt/hatred towards Glasgow come from? Workington fans have been putrid on here towards us. Revelling in a statement that our promoters may not invest their hard earned into the club after next year. What is the reason for it? We don't even get this level of abuse from the 0131's. As I have said before, many times, it seems people would rather we had went out of business. Or did everyone just prefer their easy points when we were rolling up with the O'Malley's and Horwoods of the world? Instead that Faccenna's have created a very good racing facility and have the most productive and forward thinking promoting team out there. This promotion has also brought many new fans in through the gate, some of which now travel to away matches. Yet people still want to slaughter them. The backward thinking mentality of some people will close the sport down in this country for good.
  12. There are enough of them on this thread without introducing more.
  13. I thought Sarj would of done well last year, he showed in glimpses at the end of the season what he can do. The gating issue still remains. I am sure riding with Cookie would boost him though. Fully agree, a decent reserve can make a team. Remember Nick's performances in 2011? Will need to see who other teams snap up at reserve. I would of liked Tom Brennan up here but he is based down south. Time will tell,
  14. The reserves are obviously very weak. Top five is strong. A decent bit of consistency from last year. Should be fine at home, could see a few doings away right enough. I would not of went for a team with Cookie. Nick Morris or Stevie Worral would of been my choice to give us more strength at the bottom end.
  15. What has happened to the once great track at Derwent Park? That was a meeting that could only be compared to a Berwick match. Maybe they have adopted the “win at all costs” mentality from our nearest and dearest down the road? A lot of people giving Bomber grief here, he can’t, and never has been able to gate, he had no chance tonight. Same goes to Starke too, he likes/needs dirt. That was the deciding factor tonight. If Claus gated he done well. Ricky has obviously learned from last week when the track was just a dry version of what it was last night. The announcer gave a statement apologising to fans for a mistake the referee had made without saying what her mistake was? 6 month ban coming up? The simple sport we follow is made complicated by the rule book and baffling by referees “interpretations” of said book. Good luck to Worky and their promotion for their future endeavours. Hope Jensen is ok.
  16. Don't think Ricky is the choice for the away leg! Could be another Monarch/Future Tiger. All hail the "King"
  17. A lot of hate coming about the "boo's". A few 0131's came through last week and booed Craig when going round with his trophy, Craig laughed and gave the thumbs up to them as he obviously knew them. I am assuming it was the same few people(?). Lets not take everything so seriously. If he was genuinely booed then some people need to take a good look at themselves.
  18. Good day at the office for the Tigs. Monarchs didn’t look interested to be fair. Coasting round etc. Shows the difference between Armadale and a proper race strip. Great all round performance, JT was unlucky with his bike problems. Could of been more of a doing. You can always tell when the 0131’s can sniff a victory, travel through in numbers, seen them leaving about heat 13 (for a change)
  19. Hopefully not. Heard it before the season finished. Not heard it since.
  20. So a single rider can cause that much chaos to a club. I suppose if James is taking your abuse then its saving someone else. James has now got a reputation, even when he makes a great (legal) start he will get penalised. Thanks for keeping me up to date on the team building for next year. Much appreciated. As for the money grabbers comment - if you could earn more money to do the same job somewhere else would you do it? Its not money grabbing its financial sense. Make the the most money you can in what is going to be a very short career. Especially when you only earn over roughly 7 months of the year. Again thanks for keeping us all up to date with Glasgow's financial situation. I really don't know where we would be with out you. You continual posting on Glasgow's financial situation paints a picture of you. Not a pretty one either. As I have said before, it seems certain people would rather see the sport run down, or shut down, than see some teams do well. The promotion at Glasgow have done a fantastic job on but MOSTLY off the track. They should be commended for trying to make the sport as big and successful as possible not continually scrutinised. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't listen to them if they told you how to spend your money...
