  1. So as a member of the promotion team you either won't, or can't, say what re admission details are stated in the programme and at the stadium? In the EL programmes from last season (perhaps you could confirm whether or not it has changed) it does not state specific readmission details and instead says they are available on request or at the turnstiles, so unless it has changed the 'information' you have provided is incorrect. Maybe you could also tell me where the clear labelling of these details exactly is so I can read them thoroughly before entering the stadium in future. The query was prior to the meeting, hence the original post I made on this thread. At the end of the meeting I wanted to go home and not continue to get soaked.
  2. Would you like to confirm the wording in the programme, for those of us who don't feel the need to purchase one just to find out our rights? I find it very strange the turnstile staff were unaware of what readmission details were. You'd think as it is so clearly labelled they would just refer us to such literature. It's hardly a natural assumption that 2 meetings class as 1 as far as readmission goes. 2 meetings take place, 2 results are declared (well, occasionally) and you pay extra for that privilege. Readmission in the whole of speedway is an utter con, when I order a pizza if I only get 66% of that pizza the company aren't entitled to consider that an appropriate product and refuse to give any money back for it. At no point have I claimed this years double headers have been called off to make the promotion money, especially given the pathetic crowds. Both meetings were genuine call offs. The suggestion that last years double header call offs were genuine is absurd though, both were called off for curfew, a curfew which I believe is non existent based on information which has come from save Brandon meetings. A token gesture for fans who have now not seen the completion of either double header at Brandon is hardly beyond the realms of possibility but that's your prerogative as promoters. Just don't be surprised when the crowd is even worse, if that's even possible, at future storm events.
  3. Members of the club hierarchy do read and post on this forum so I'll ask again. What are the rules regarding readmission for double headers? That's now 2 incomplete meetings from the last 2 double headers. No rules are stated anywhere concerning your rights and when asked last night turnstile staff did not know. No wonder no one turns up for storm meetings with the way the fans are constantly treated.
  4. Last nights was a belter. Cracking racing.
  5. Appreciate there isn't a huge deal of interest in these meetings but even so! Before attending the meeting, could someone connected with Coventry confirm what readmission details are for double header meetings? Whilst I appreciate any money owing would be minimal, the previous double header did not give us a result in the second meeting and no details have been given regarding readmission for either this or any restaging. There are no details of readmission provided prior to entering the meeting other than on request and it would be nice to know where we stand before entering what would happen if the same thing happened again. Also, our last 3 evening double headers (1 this year and 2 last) in the national league have been called off due to curfew. Could someone please confirm what the Brandon curfew is? Thanks in advance. Full gas storm and best wishes to Dan!
  6. I don't think they are, I read that as them asking for both years money as once
  7. Not just prize money with the GP's. The extra sponsorship deals likely to be offered to a GP rider are surely much higher.
  8. Harris is a class exciting rider who finished second in the last completed GP. Has done more than Lindgren in his GP career with a GP win and joint 5th in the world which Lindgren hasn't managed. Not begrudging Lindgren a place but the justification you used for it is a bit silly. The wildcards are fairly dull with no real talking points.
  9. They are sold a certain amount of tickets by the stadium and just give out 4 adult tickets to people asking for a family ticket. They are stamped with an unofficial 'concession' stamp, so the stadium take them as adult tickets. Should have pointed out it's not the official stadium ticket office, but the ticket office by the prince of wales. Don't worry about posting things like that to make correct info look invalid, though.
  10. If you buy them in advance they state 'child' or 'u16'. That is the only concession on a seat at Cardiff. However if you buy them in the ticket office on the day, you can get a family ticket price but they actually give you 4 adult tickets.
  11. The Poles (Kolodziej excluded) all qualified by right for the GP 2010. Kolodziej, I believe, was second in both Swedish and Polish league averages. I don't know who, except Emil, and when you exclude nationality, is more deserving of a wildcard than him.
  12. I think the British Final route to Cardiff will probably come to an end, but I imagine if the likes of Woffinden or Barker are flying high (and not just in Britain) then the FIM won't stop them getting the place.
  13. I'm stuck in Portsmouth, where can I watch it online?
  14. Replacing 6. Nicki PEDERSEN £40,000 8. Kenneth BJERRE £50,000 12. Chris HOLDER £35,000 with 4 Greg HANCOCK £40000 2 Tomasz GOLLOB (50000) 50000 14 Chris HARRIS £35000 Crump stays as captain. Cheers. New team: 13. Jaroslaw HAMPEL £25,000 1. Jason CRUMP £50,000 4 Greg HANCOCK £40000 2 Tomasz GOLLOB £50000 14 Chris HARRIS £35000 Crump stays as captain. Cheers.
  15. You're ignoring what I have posted completely. I've not talked down Harris, he was superb, but he did not come from the back in every race!
  16. You're an idiot. I love Chris Harris, but clearly you ignored his first race and the semi where he made the gate. Didn't make a pass in the final either, come to add. As "Ladyluck" said, it was a fine performance from Harris, but don't just make stuff up.
  17. I'd like Kolodziej, Lindback and Harris. Certainly not beyond the realms of possibility either.
  18. Nicholls, Harris, Richardson, Stead and Woffinden have all ridden in world under 21 finals. Richardson has won it, Harris has finished second, Woffinden finished joint third before losing the run off, Stead was 5th and Nicholls also got a bronze medal.
  19. One of these 'suspects' actually went to an awful lot of trouble when Rory broke his back in 2005 to raise him a fair old bit of money organising an auction in the bar at Coventry. So no, I don't just 'snipe from the sidelines'. I don't hate Rory, I've never hated Rory and I don't know where the myth comes from that I do. Lukas Dryml, yes. Rory, no. I didn't cheer because Rory fell, as has been pointed out a million times, but it's pointless arguing about it on here though. It can go on forever and other people are still going to say what they think they've seen and still be wrong.
  20. Flammable and inflammable mean the same thing. Odd policy to allow one but not the other.
  21. You can get family tickets from the small ticket office by the POW on the day.
  22. You sir, are a fizzle.
