I have a 174cc Zongchin HO engine fitted with a TB roller rocker head and Takagawa S35 cam. Head has been gas flowed. the engine makes around 24bhp, has about 1 hour use from new. Lions 12. If I put plenty of dirt on it will not make more lines. Riders enter the turns at 60+mph and if there was more grip they cant turn. It needs to be slick going in to the turns. Nemo crashed last night when he went into the dirt as he couldnt turn the bike. I prepare the track for the riders safety and yes I have put more dirt on the outside but if they go out to it they get passed as the fastest line is one they use now. Its not a case of the riders v the spectators. Its about making the best and safest track with what we have to work with.

For those who have made comments on the track grading . We grade only 4 times every 4 heats and only 4 or 5 laps. Fact.......

This bonus point needs to be sorted as it wont be long before we have team mates at each other. It is a team sport.

The best team won on the night. As Sheffeild is one of the best racing tracks in the UK I saw only 5 passes all night. All by Leicester riders. A good meeting but not a great result for us.

Ok everyone wants overtaking , more dirt on the track and don't give a dame about what the riders want. Yes we have to work with what we have. But to put the riders views and their well being at risk is irresposable. Its them who are at risk not the fans who demand this and that. You go down the straight at 65mph slide the bike in sideways only for the dirt to flick you up and drive you into the fence. While they are in hospital awaiting surgery for a broken arm or leg. You the demanding fan can go down the pub. Jezz that was nasty fall last night! hope he will be ok. Give us pint love. I will never ignore the fans and try to make the safest track I can, with what I have to work with. But what the riders want will always come first.

You say it was very slick ! That 50 ton of dirt I put on must have been fairy dust. Simon Stead came up to me and said he had done 7 meetings so far this season and the track last night was the best he had ridden on so far. Safe, Good grip and consistant . Starts were a awesome.
