Very good start today, marked out and dug out. Hard core coming tomorrow. Moving the drain in the middle of turn 2/3. Have widened the apex by 6 metres. Bit of rain late today but nothing to worry about. Glyn

Hi , We won't be moving anything on the front straight. Way to many cables drains etc to move. Work will be on turns 1/2 and overall track levels and surface. Glyn

Yes this will all be part of rebuilding the track.

Hi, Just to clear the thinking. We are meeting on the weekend to arrange what we are going to do with the track we have a few options. It will be a massive improvement . It is possible to move the fence on the back straight. Is this is worth it is to be decided as we are talking only 1meter. Glyn

The EL riders were not happy about the Twins going out before them so a meeting would not have ever been accepted.

A rider I thought was worth a go in this League was Alex Egburge. Likes Leicester tough rider gave it 110% has the best equipment . Was action packed.

I never jumped ship. Found out from a friend that someone else had been given the job. I heard nothing until I phoned Buster and was then told that someone else was doing it. I then found out that it was the guy who has been helping me for the last 5 years. I had been talking to him weekly since the season had finished he never said a thing. Glyn

Hi all, After 5 years at Leicester my time there has come to an end. I am posting this as a few of you have been PMing me re track changes. I have no clue as to what is happening or going to happen re track changes. I wish the new promotion the best of luck as they are going to need it. Glyn

How can it be unprofessional. These things take time to sort out. Councils don't do things quickly Contracts to be drawn up signed. ect. Plus what makes you think that there is only one group vying for the right to promote.

There are still t's to be crossed and I's to be dotted. When everything is clear to the new promotors. The fans will be told. Give them a chance its only a week since the AGM.

The S Cams were with the original GM long stroke. They were followed by the X then the P cams.

Hi, The track last night was not as good as it has been. 2 very warm days makes the track very hard and the water won't sink into the base . I put 15,000 gallons of water on the track from 9pm the night before. Turn 3/4 has now gone very hard and as you saw as soon as the top was moved we had dust. So some new shale for the next meeting should be back to its best. Glyn

TRACK.... Rain was forecast so little watering. I have a 1200 gallon water bowser to big for watering during the racing. But a smaller one is being built. Heat one track record. Lots of passing. Every rider went home safe. No complaints from any of the riders on the night. Riders do not want more dirt as they can't turn. So to say more dirt would make it better is not a fact. Its still early days but the track is producing much better racing. Watering is difficult when the track is slick as there is little dirt to hold the moisture so it dries out quicker. Glyn

Belle Vue dont own their stadium. They are rent/lease it with other sports.

To be fair to Belle Vue they were up against it with the weather, it was only last Friday the 11th we had heavy snow here. I am only 5 miles from the track. I know Colin has worked very hard to try and get it on. It one of those things we (track men) all have different ways of doing things. I never stop learning in what you can and can't do with shale. I know 100% you can't lay wet shale and rolling it only makes it worse. The base has to be firm and dry. Thats why I spent all day drying it out and I took 20 ton of muddy shale off. Then the next day laid the new shale. Even then I was drying that out as it was a bit damp. Glyn -

The track showed a few different lines today. The riders will take a few meeting to learn the quick way round. The shale was only laid last Sunday. We spent all day Saturday drying it out. I put down 80 tons on turns 3/4. I finished it at 2 they were riding on it at 4 will no problems. More shale to go down for next week as we build the banking up on 3/4. Glyn
