Just posted this in the Sheffield thread and some of you may have seen it on the Sheffield Tigers site... Sheffield Cycle Speedway have their final test of the season against Oxford this Sunday. Looking for a good turnout for a club that has actually bred a few Speedway riders in its time believe it or not. They'll be hot and cold refreshments on, along with plenty of entertainment. The Sky cameras will be there too, filming for the upcoming season review show on Sky Sports. Yes, Ashley is a top lad, has a lot of time for everybody and really does appreciate all the help he's given. We were there all day and only got kicked off late on when the track needed some prep - excellent day out.

Had the pleasure of spending the day with Scunthorpe's Ashley Birks at his sponsor's day. This basically involved a lot of business owners who had little/no knowlege of motorbikes, let alone speedway bikes.
