'Ban media' was obviously the wrong word. Delay, would be better. Controlled Media, The sport needs to be governed in the correct way. Not just one free for all . Of cause I'm aware of the benefits of Sky television and the ability to push the sport into homes . But pushing out live league broadcast does more harm than good, a few hour delay wouldn't do any a harm to viewing numbers but it would probably put more people on the gate. Transmit the big meetings live like SGP but do away with live league matches...... Sorry.... Slip of the finger.....

I suggest a ban on all media, but it could never be controlled. On Wednesday up in the Royal Box, there was someone near me, twitting after every heat. god knows who was receiving that. No doubt they were well pleased to be kept up to date so easily. But it was someone who was interested in the score but decided against going to the meeting.

I can only imagine the bet365 company wanting to do the streaming to supplement their betting. They aren't bothered about the well being of our sport. Thinking of last night, I imagine there were quite a few who would or could have travelled to Perry Bar, but elected to stay at home and watch via the stream. I just wondered, are clubs being amply rewarded for this service in view of numbers dwindling. I believe all these new media additions i.e.. Updates, Twitter, Facebook, Streaming, all have an effect on todays gates........ Promoter must feel it's like banging their heads against the brick walls all the time.

How much does the sport benefit from the streaming of live speedway matches. It obviously has an effect on the attendances with people watching the stream on line. Do the clubs benefit from a cash input, or is this another exercise of the sport shooting themselves in the foot again.

What, similar to when King and Barker went down. I try to forgive the Ref when making silly decisions, but sometimes I find it very hard. Obviously pleased to get 3 pts, disappointed we didn't travel, but felt it was wrong having to go a support a select side. Something the BSPA need to look at. At times like these I feel the BSPA press the self destruct button, and any common sense goes out the window. Hope Adam Skornicki is not badly hurt and is back in the saddle before too long. Looking at the Brummies' side Adam is there top rider who can be relied upon to score points every match. King and Nermark are also good riders. Barker as a third heat leader will always struggle, but in Starke and Lambert the reserves are above average. I feel Birmingham are just one rider away from a decent team and Nico Covatti isn't the answer. You need another rider of heat leader quality, who will push into the top three. that way you would also improve the 2nd strings as well. The last thing we want is for team to pack up. I so wanted Birmingham to win the league last year. For Poole it meant nothing new, but to the Brummies' it would have created so much more local interest, and that would have given the sport a massive kick up the arse in the midlands, where it is much needed...

Typical... You take the aggression Pill, and then suggest I take the chill one..... Whatever.........

I thought last night Rose was unlucky for the second time. having re-watched it again on the tele, I still feel the same way. Rose, having made the gate and first into the corner, he was forced out wide by Gustafssen from the inside run. When Rose eased the throttle, he lifted a fraction causing him to be unstable. Running out of room he laid it down before crashing. Like I said Rose was unfortunate. he did nothing wrong. I thought it was a racing incident. Bearing in mind how much stick Gustafssen is getting of late, he was going to be giving it his all, so no blame on him. The Ref had made a massive blunder in Rose's first race, I thought this time round he could have evens up the score and easily had all four back. Just an opinion........ As always, your opinion always differs from mine. You must live in a wonderful world where everything is always Black and White.....

Big disappointment last night, in so many ways. to lose points at home is not something I accept easily. But there were many things I thought were wrong, all having a bearing on proceedings. First the positives, we had three riders last night who really came to the fore. majestic Niels, Young Porsing and FT King Kerr. They all showed when it matters they can deliver. Next to them Scotty tried hard, was never going to be the adequate replacement for Kenneth, but he did battle. Bikes seemed slow, but they always do....Young Rose had a meeting to forget. Feel sorry that he was forced out twice and got no protection from the useless ref. The first, was so blatant, even a blind man would have seen him being hit from behind. the second was more constructed and a call for all 4 back would have been an easy call. Sitting in the Royal Box, Rose had nowhere to go and just laid it down..... Young Lambert had a night to forget. His last ride when he battled for that brilliant second place wasn't enough to forget his other fruitless outings. he seemed to have bike issues, but a quick gesture from his watching mother soon cured that thought.... A good captain has to lead by example and Rory is falling short on this big time. Its all very well being at the pit-gate motivating and congratulating the riders, but his first priority has to be scoring points. Last night he was pitiful. a far cry from the Rory we once knew. the only person he beat was an out of sorts Gustafsson. I know the season is young and we have time on our hands, but we need Rory leading from the front with quicker machinery. Scoring them solidarity points is not enough. My biggest concern last night was the track. Probably, not alone with my thoughts, but I don't think making the track that grippy does anyone any favours. The racing is processional and spread out, making the whole night a gate and go track. The Norfolk Arena is better than that, It tarnishes the evening and creates a big leveller of the riders. I'm sure with less muck and less grip, the spectacle would be more entertaining and the better riders would find the drive when they went looking for it. Again, Niels was brilliant last night.

Unlike yourselves, our track gives us little advantage, there are no holes to negotiate, and everyone comes here with a chance of winning. So far this year we have collected all the points maintaining a 100% record . But this is after all 15 heats have been run, never once have we wrapped a meeting up by heats 11-12. So what makes you think we will do so tonight I hate to think. You make believe you have an authoritive opinion but Swindon are far stronger than you make out. You say Wolves beat them with relative ease on Monday but that wasn't the case. It was only the last 3 heats that put a one sided result up, up till then, they were equal to Wolves, even without Batch doing much. I have no doubt Swindon are more than capable of causing us problems, and your lot as well.......... -

You can never get tired of seeing Kildemand race. Getting into extreme positions, hanging off the bike at ridiculous angles. He may not win every race, but every one is exciting to watch, and that's what will bring the crowds in. -

Birmingham V Kings Lynn Select Thurs 15th May

Having just seen the guest announcement on the Stars website, I'm of the impression we are a lot weaker then our normal line-up. Feel we are giving Birmingham a big opportunity to get back some of the points they lost last time..... Shame the sport is run this way....... last year we went to Wolves with only 3 riders and got tanked, I can see this being the same.......... -

Although, in the end, Swindon were soundly beaten last night at Wolves, at the start it was a close call. I believe at Lynn will see a different Swindon team, who will push the Stars all the way. Unlike Monmore, the riders come to the Norfolk Arena with no fears, and will perform better, non more so than Batchelor. I believe their Ace will be Worrall, who could have as many as 7 rides. No doubt it will be a close call. Yes, we can win 3 pts, but it will be far from easy............Looking forward to a good meeting................ -
Oh so complicated, Once the new heat format was introduced with protected riders, the averages were always going to end up like this.

Once the CMA was an exact indication of a riders ability. Now they are nothing more then figures at the end of the name that could mean a multitude of things. I appreciate your post, but asking for the sport to be run in an open manner is like asking for the world. I fail to see any advantage that is gained secrecy or from running the sport in this way. This is one of the many reasons why speedway is looked at as a second division of sport. Why can't everything be done in the open, Lets get rid of the 'them and us' attitude its about time they realise we're in this boat together.

Bearing in mind all the top Danes will be missing, finding adequate guests will be much harder now. Not too bothered about losing to Birmingham, but bearing in mind the precarious situation at Perry Barr, I can't imagine many Stars fans travelling to see this with half a team missing. And that's not helping any body.. ...........Birmingham want all the fans they can get ....

It Don't sound too optimistic . Fingers crossed -
Always knew doing 3 meetings in 4 days takes it's toll. Without Kenneth it puts added pressure on the other riders. Yeah I know we can cover him with adequate guests. So away to BV and home to Swindon are covered using first Watts and then Scotty Nicholls. Thursday is different though. Away to Birmingham we are three riders short. Together with Kenneth, we are also without Niels and Porsing who have commitments elsewhere. Bearing in mind we beat them quite easily last month, this should give them the opportunity to get their own back this time round....... Pity we weren't down to play Lakeside. I'm sure they would've agreed to postpone it , them not wanting to cheat their fans, with us turning up with a sub-standard team.......

What's the weather expected tomorrow. Have thought about going, but am worried about the prevailing rain. Would there be a inspection or a early call-off if necessary .? What's the forecast like up there ? Please....
