Armadale Devils v Berwick Bullets (Friday 7 May 7.30)
secsy1 replied to edmon's topic in National League Speedway
Unfortunately nothing but buffering issues for me, maybe as south of Scotland. The only thing that I can recommend is that an announcer gives details of each heat, irrespective of the commentators. Had the pleasure of seeing 1 full race in 8 heats and a superb ride by George Rothery, definitely one to watch. -

Has the stream started yet, logged in but nothing doing? -

Probably be brothers riding for the Colts at 6 & 7

Looking at the riders Belle Vue would possibly run with, think it is more about convenient days when they are all available from other team commitments.

Think it was one of the reasons, but who are the ones left?

Connor Bailey not on the list?
-
Just noticed that Connor Bailey has a 3 star rating, is this due to him being considered a good future star above several riders with 2 stars who have been around a long time? Seems like several riders like Jamie Halder and a few others don't appear on the list. Any particular reasons?

Experience relates to the top 3 and the youth and future of British Speedway the bottom end. 1. Tai Woffinden 2. Dan Bewley 3. Robert Lambert 4. Drew Kemp 5. Dan Gilkes 6. Jordan Palin 7. Dan Thompson 8. Joe Thompson You can only move forward with bringing in youngsters. Once upon a time a Manchester United fan told me and gosh did they move forward before backwards again with older players.

A new reader direction is the same as a new spectators adventure to see their first speedway meeting. Being able to relate to what's happening at other tracks and seeing how speedways history is so vast. Nothing ventured in any direction is the same as saying its dead and don`t bother. As mentioned it is getting better, but needs much much more coverage, particularly with the latest stars emerging. I think it is quite surprising that so many people do not realise how many tracks already do this, or are not informed as it is not covered by the Star!

A great read for the older end, but is it not time to move it forward towards the younger generation to be able to evolve and maintain its great status as the best speedway magazine in the world? With the British Youth Championships growing year on year, surely it is time to follow it more in depth and gain a new reader direction? All the families and friends of all the new riders emerging from as young as 7 years old would love to follow their progress and what better place than in the Star

MORE POLISH LEAGUE INTERFERENCE
secsy1 replied to Gunner85's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Jumping at the opportunity to ride anywhere abroad is commendable and the riders must have a high degree of talent to be offered places/contracts. Personally I wish them every success. Some riders are quite content with riding in the UK and have no desire to take the opportunities offered abroad. But at the bottom end of the scale, they have to start somewhere and learn. Some riders have progressed to higher levels by blowing cobwebs away at Leicester and attending odd training schools, so please don't knock these as riders do benefit from them. -
Brits in U19 Championship Prague Quarantine?
secsy1 replied to Ringitsneck's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Does it matter? The boys are committed to doing their best and not like footballers will do anything for success. Think its people like you who think it must be free Success is not free and demands dedication Poor call, ring your neck -

I suppose You know all the family bubbles at Scunthorpe then? I for one would kick out idiots like you who want to destroy any return to normality? What is your name and tell everyone that we are trying to get back to normality without being objective. Jog on or be constructive with your criticism of all and sundry -
Time to have an enquiry into the death of Speedway
secsy1 replied to HackneyHawk's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
The only way forward is to be constructive with your criticism. Some excellent posts on this thread, trying to show a way forward. Most promoters will listen, but the arrogance of spectators about past halcyon days of speedway are not interesting. We now live in a completely different era and have to address present issues, not resurrect old ones. Newcastle Speedway this season, would have been a pleasure to visit. All the hard work behind the scenes would have reaped huge benefits. For once look at the positives as they are few, but a way forward. -
Polish Extraleague 2020
secsy1 replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
Why? If you watched the following heat after the crash, Laguta was in same position as Thomsen and he had to shut off to prevent same accident. Committed, careless or reckless Laguta was not, but calculated he was by slowing down. -

Tracks great, just a lot of bad riders who wouldn't command a team place in a lot of Championship sides -

Bet the Rybnik fans are happy its behind closed doors and they haven't had to pay at turnstile to watch this drivel. NDL is more entertaining and the riders can ride and some are only 15 and worthy of a place at Rybnik. Cannot believe Lambert was chosen as number 8 -

If a track in the NDL looked like that the riders would relish such conditions and just get on with it like they always do -
It is hard for everyone to stay at home, but even harder for the frontline NHS staff and associated services. Potentially having to deal with irresponsible people riding bikes and having accidents can only exacerbate problems for them. You WILL be reported to ACU/ AMCA Head Office for a termination of your competition licence. This will be shared with all authorising bodies. Various riders from different motorcycle sports have posted videos and have already been reported. You are responsible for yourself, your family and friends, stay safe by being smart.

Who are the future stars of British Speedway?
secsy1 replied to Falcon1983's topic in National League Speedway
I am pleased you have been following the British Junior System which is improving and evolving year by year. I agree 100% with your reasons and hopefully this is being addressed to ensure the next generation are guided, protected and educated professionally. I reiterate the (Bold) words in my original post, which will happen again and again and again
