  1. Can anyone name riders who retired and make a come back after having a testimonial?

  3. Funny that they are the ones implementing it, hence the RANT
  4. Will their be a NL Fantasy Team for 2023?
  5. How far from the post point you are. The point being the world that we live in gives no respect to anyone anymore. If you are struggling then sod you we do not care even if your disabled just shut up and pay.
  6. Well its one less every week for me. 2 old codgers who sit near to me, no longer have access to the lift and walk through Peter Craven Suite to access their season ticket seats. If they pay for a meal they can have access every time they do. Having dodgy legs they used to use the toilets in the Suite as the difficulty in using stairs, pay for a meal and you can use them they have been told. No free programme with season tickets this year, only a long winding queue. What do you expect the crowd to be when you alienate the ones who keep it running (By screwing every last penny out of them) Where are the newbies everyone raves about at THE NATIONAL SPEEDWAY STADIUM not happening.
  7. Everyone must understand that a lot of old timers, like my Dad supported teams now long gone. But they still have an affinity to them and although never happening these teams will not return. So any of the so called Ghost teams who they loved, were appearing in these leagues they would sponsor them and support them financially. Is a trick being missed here?
  8. Hit the nail on the head. Wishing all that are involved safe and successful riding. And yes looking at all the teams will be the most entertaining of all the leagues, with no clear favourite.
  9. 1. Bit harsh on McGurk brothers, being conned by any promotion is not nice. 2. Providing Adam can steer clear of injury and with Wood a relative unknown to some lots of surprises to uneducated. 3. Spencer does not receive the credit he deserves, probably underrated because people make assumptions without knowing the lad and his determination. As long as he avoids injury comfortable team and watch Boughen. 4. Oh dear. Scraping the bottom of barrel in lots of areas but lets see. 5. Killeen is not accident prone, just needs coaching properly like most riders to be patient, good prospect under correct tuition. 6. Mildenhall are a special team and always deceive and deliver, Congreve and Trigger will deliver handsomely. 7. Berwick will be okay with Coles, Blair and Phillips. Bottom end all will supply at times when needed. 8. Kent surprised everyone last year and sorely missed Alcock. No worries. All in all 8 well balanced teams and prefer to watch meetings in the NDL than any other league. Would not like to make any prediction, but lets have a safe season and no injuries. Best of sliding to all riding.
  10. Known as the National League, its official name is the National Development League. This is the entry level dedicated to the training and development of young home grown riders. The above is from SCB regulations 2022. Everyone can appreciate that an experienced older rider is vital to every team to enhance the development of younger riders in their team. But professional juniors who will never rise out of this level is farcical!
  11. Do Formula 1 and Formula E compete against each other, No. They are different categories.
  12. Firstly I watched all the E Speedway broadcast as I was genuinely interested I would think common sense would prevail in why the E speedway Bikes and Petrol bikes should not be mixed. Do Formula 1 and Formula E compete against each other, No. They are different categories What would have been more interesting yesterday would have been a race on E Bikes between the likes of Max James, Luke Harrison and Jamie Etherington. Then asking them how they felt about the bikes.
  13. The meeting as a whole was well worth the watch, with amusing commentary keeping it interesting. Mixing the E Speedway and petrol bikes was a big mistake. A future for them is a reality, but they must be kept in a class of their own.
  14. Thanks for the information it is appreciated. Checked out the ARH Heathens Facebook pages, but does anyone know what or who are A.R.H. as cannot see what it refers to? If it is a sponsor, then it tells you nothing but would like to know what or who it refers to.
  15. Where can you access details of all the teams involved in the league and do they have websites or facebook sites for information regarding teams etc
  16. Can you please elaborate details of Cradley team
  17. Clegg, Muff and Shimelt with a n other
  18. How ridiculous is it that all these has been speedway stars express how they are training all these new and up coming speedway stars. All these ex riders and existing riders profess to training all the new and upcoming riders and they have enhanced their progression. Reality is the majority of riders have progressed through Scunthorpe Speedway at Wayne Carter training schools or AMSA with Gary O`Hare. It makes me sick that all these riders are employed by these so called Academy's who do nothing but live of everybody elses hard work. Take a long hard look at who actually does anything for British Youth Speedway and has no reward????
  19. Recently seen news of potential speedway in Weston Super Mare, is this a reality or dream?
  20. For Jack, eventually it will happen. Too much pressure from expectations due to the fabulous career his dad had. Maybe a bit like Max Clegg, started off like a house on fire and not lived up to expectations due to everyone else's expectations. Possibly a good fit to ride together at The National Stadium and prove all the doubters wrong?
  21. Would Max Clegg fit the number 6 place. Solid rider and lots of experience.
  22. Had Ivan Mauger, Barry Briggs, Ronnie Moore or Jason Doyle not ventured to the UK to further their career aspirations, then potentially we would never have witnessed some of our speedway greats. At present speedway in the UK is in turmoil and struggling financially and a dire shortage of NDL riders capable of being competitive. What we do not need is every NDL filled to the brim with riders sliding down the scale into the teams, but yes realistically every team needs a level of experience to help and steer the youngsters. So after our Premier League was stripped of stars by Poland`s dictatorship why can we not help develop riders from the Commonwealth and give them opportunities. Surely the likes of Jacob Hook, James Pearson and George Congreve could be given the green light to ride in the NDL. However convoluted it maybe, Connor Bailey is riding, so good for him to have a team place and hopefully progression to higher levels through the NDL experience.
