Any news on how bad I have done this season
-
I have edited the post now, but never and mean NEVER EVER go to the Match to line pockets of unscrupulous un educated poor Promoters/Owners!
-
Well a truly outrages statement from Leicester speedway regarding pricing for a wet and cold Sunday Afternoon. Nobody knows if and when the first match will Finish or even the time the second one MIGHT START!!!!! The easiest and SAVVY promoters (DO WE HAVE ANY?) way to have dealt with this was to say..............................IT IS A TENNER for both matches, come and enjoy a great nights RACING! But hey this is British Speedway at its Best, same old, same old crap!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ipswich v Sheffield play off final 1st leg
secsy1 replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Lambert does not give a flying £u9K about Kings Lynn or any other team in the UK, what he does care about is how much money he can squeeze out of them, period. arrogant, self centred and full of his own self importance, do not understand any UK team paying for the dross he has served up since his return to UK. -
Belle Vue vs Ipswich (playoff semi 2nd leg) 25/09/23

I may be a Stupid Woman, but how stupid are all the people who accept it was a OFFICIAL RESULT. Stage managed to keep every viewer entranced on a result after 2 heats. Did you watch Wroclaw v Torun, not stage managed. Betting on speedway is allowed and riders make a packet for winning and LOSING races. -

If you have never seen a fixed race then wake up to live entertainment and the need for it -
It is all for the boys. Presenter/commentator cannot pronounce the names/ get results right or even identify riders. Sorry what a bag of crap

When a incident happened were the participants drug tested, did they get banned or did a promoter pay for the incident to go away?

Northern Junior League 2023
secsy1 replied to Fortythirtyeight's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
where are they? is it a joke? Be realistic!! -
Arguing about 4 valves and engine rebuilds is so far from what is wrong. Constantly debating an irrelevance is pointless. Apart from immediate discussions on restructuring for 2024, anything else is a waste of time. Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Peterborough and Kings Lynn are but a few who are on the rack and potentially more. Only a handful of tracks are presently sustainable, but they also need to change and adapt to what the paying fans want to keep them coming. The restructuring in 1964 paved the way for a successful season in 1965 and onto its dizzy heights. 2023 will be a defining year for restructure of every aspect of what we call speedway in the UK. It must start now by every promoter accepting the catastrophic way it is so poorly run and accept responsibility for the decline. Forget about 3 tiers in the UK and all promoters get together with people who care and can help and sort it out NOW.

Finale of UK Speedway ?
secsy1 replied to old bob at herne bay's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
This is why it is the Finale of UK Speedway SCB STATEMENT: ARTEM LAGUTA TUESDAY, JUNE 27, 2023 Following the withdrawal of Artem Laguta from the Kings Lynn team at the Wolverhampton Premiership fixture on Monday 26th June the Speedway Control Bureau (SCB) have made the following statement… The SCB were informed on the morning of the 26th June that Artem Laguta would not be able to attend the Wolverhampton v Kings Lynn fixture due to falling ill after competing for his Polish team Wroclaw on Sunday 25th June. Subsequently the SCB received medical documentation at 1.30pm confirming that Mr Laguta had suffered from food poisoning and was unable to travel to the UK and advised to rest for a period of at least 2 days. Due to missing this fixture through a non-speedway injury/sickness as per SCB Regulation 010.5 h) – Mr Laguta SCB Registration will now be suspended for a period of 7 days. -
Gorzow GP Saturday 24th June 2023
secsy1 replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Zmarzlik is in a class of his own, but who wants to watch him let the other riders go and then pick them off one by one like sitting ducks. It is unfortunate that no one around can touch him, so it becomes boring and tedious to watch a GP. As I stated earlier the crowd was well below previous GPs, WHY? -
Gorzow GP Saturday 24th June 2023
secsy1 replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The GP series is now over. Boring tracks with no dirt, second rate and over the top riders coining it in and going through the motions. Crowd was not as large as normal for a Polish GP. Last night was a season ending watch for me as it is boring. What would interest me is seeing Zmarzlik in UK? How would he fare on a tricky track like Wolverhampton? So until he appears here wont be visiting any meetings until then, in other words retiring from actively watching live speedway. -

secsy1 replied to BackstaightBandit's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
So same problem as Birmingham, just too costly for second rate entertainment. When the price for performance and entertainment value is right the fans will come. -

What was the crowd size? -
Once again try a new approach. For a forward thinking and fan appreciating club throw it out everywhere that it a tenner and kids accompanied by an adult free. This will see if it is price related and give a good example to every club that a new approach could work. Speedway always has and will be Risk Related for both Promoters and Riders, but Who Dares Wins in Both Cases.
-
It does appear on face value that a lot of effort has gone into promoting the Brummies this season with hand outs and advertisement. If it is still not working and attracting fans then it could be price related? Attracting 200 fans at £20 equates to £4000. So as a test indicator to rule that out why not charge £10 and see how many appear. Who knows if 400 fans attend, an increase of 50% but still the same £4000 and the answer. Very simple indicator.

I do not know where the 5.23 average comes from, I can only assume it is used to isolate riders who are British so some unknown foreigner can come in and cost a fortune and be useless as well.
