  1. Living beyond your means, unfortunately too many don't realise you have to have it before you spend it. Quite reckless if you have children!!!!!
  2. Once again the Farcical World Of Speedway is shown to the world. Too much talking and not enough correct actions. The cover situation is beyond compare and to try put a blade that spread the slime more as remove it was even far more unbelievable. Yes everyone knows the weather was in control, but come on it wasn't rocket science required by the authority's to make a early call or leave the covers on.
  3. Tonight's Speedway World Cup is again after only a few Heats in controversy by poor Refereeing. Lindback not excluded, then the Russian who was clearly impeded excluded. Think I will have to stop watching again as its as bad as a FIFA debacle
  4. The incompetent SCB official running the meeting had no concern at all for riders safety.. even stating it was unfair to blame him if an accident occurred when stating the meeting should continue. All he was interested in was getting to Heat 10. Don't blame Poole or Coventry with people like this in charge officiating.
  5. The Officials are to be held responsible for this farce, no accountability!
  6. Who was that SCB Official Joker in the pits saying it was unfair on him?
  7. If a team doesn't exist surely they must not be riding and have no riders, but they did and do.
  8. Please can anyone let me know which riders have Welsh, Scottish or even English Passports? If any do then please lets have individual teams, otherwise leave it alone and get on with it as Great Britain. As for England, we must be the most un patriotic country that exists, unlike the Irish, Scottish and Welsh who fervently celebrate their National Days.
  9. Not being a child and remembering speedway from its hey days in the sixties certain New Zealanders represented team GB in the World team cups. A Mr.Mauger and Mr.Briggs did ride for team GB with distinction. Anybody remember Zola Budd being snapped from Soth Africa to represent us at the Olympics. Kevin Pietersen another South African playing cricket not for team GB but England. Also works the other way with Ryan Giggs playing schoolboy internationals for England then going to play for Wales. Its all confusing in every sport, but credit to Rory for agreeing to it and giving Robert Lambert the experience. Everyone can criticise, but sometimes give credit to the ones in a difficult situation.
  10. Every Man, Dog and his Wife complaining about the state of the track tonight, pity its prepared as No.1 wanted it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. No mention of a rider named Chessell in the Speedway Star article today, conspicuous by his absence in it. What's happened?
  12. The one thing I do like is clarity and as I forgot to underline the name of Ben Barker, unfortunately your assumption Grachan is incorrect.
  13. Well don't know what everyone thinks but one rider is quite a surprise. What do everyone else think about Richie Worrall, Ben Barker, Kyle Howarth, Lewis Rose and Nathan Greaves?
  14. A certain Elite League rider has equipment to spare for a few months, maybe he could pay as you go to use it?
  15. This seasons National League looks as though it could be the most open and best for a long time. A couple of new teams and face changes on many fronts are what will make it more interesting. The usual push for Cradley to be top dogs is not far from what they will be, but newcomers Birmingham and Eastbourne will be giving them a good run. Think that Coventry and Kent could struggle to live up to expectations, with Buxton and Kings Lynn spoiling a few party's. Stoke, Mildenhall and Rye House are the jokers in the pack and fancy any of the three to push Cradley all the way. This is Speedway though and only my opinion of how it could go.
  16. Wouldn't Ben Wilson fit in. Were quick enough to call him back from Stoke last year an now appears surplus to requirements or has he retired again or I missed something?
  17. The best rider to watch in any league is Jason Garrity, okay you don't know how he will go from meeting to meeting but excitement one way or another is guaranteed. Money maybe the reason, a team place abroad at the weekend, but don't knock him as he will be our future British No.1. Think again you knockers?
  18. Several riders who normally would be fixed up spring to mind with the likes of Ben Hopwood and Luke Chessell who have been previously mentioned. Ben Wilson and Chris Widman are still available or are they? Could be a useful looking Raiders team with still a lot of talent that needs giving a chance.
  19. Everyone knows that October is not a kind month regarding the weather! Is it not possible for all Finals and Individual meetings for the end of season be scheduled for early October at the start of the season? Any other sports season finishes with all trophy's being awarded for the winners and all fixtures completed, we don't. Next years fixtures need to be sorted and ensure that postponements early season can be completed to allow a early conclusion to the Trophy's being presented to allow the Fans (Paying Public) to enjoy the teams success. Looking at the moment that riders, fans, promoters, uncle Tom cobbly an all will be truly pee doff with the sorry end to a excellent season, lol
  20. Its 10 o`clock morning 10 October and still no information from The Official Speedway website regarding Poole v Kings Lynn semi final play off, apart from a brief message saying it was cancelled and to be restaged on Wednesday 15 October. Speedway really does not help itself as many have commitments and need up to date information asap. It is the electronic age, is it not?
  21. Members 11,013 posts Posted 28 September 2014 - 05:15 PM I don't know why you didn't just drop to the PL. Your crowds wouldn't have been much different from the EL, had you put a decent side together. With less expence. That said, i wish the club the best of luck, and hope, your fans support it. Cheaper to run, but if the fans don't support it, you'l have Egg on ya faces. You need a side that's going to challenge for Honours, then, you might make it pay.. This is why Businesses are successful or not, you cut the cloth accordingly and do not wish for things to happen, but act in accordingly sound sense. Probably that's why many teams have cash flow problems, spending above there income on not on sound financial sensibilities.
  22. Strange to see Steady not giving instructions to the track staff to how he wanted it prepared. All in all a good meeting and good to see that lad who started at Sheffield training track come good!
  23. Firstly having 2 referees would also play havoc as both could see different things as all supporters do! What is hard to understand yesterday was not only the heat 11 debacle, but many inconsistency's in the following National League match. Several heats were pulled back for starts with nothing wrong, 2 heats where riders fell were stopped and all 4 back when it was necessary to exclude the prime stoppage and when others fell in the same area they were excluded. All in all a pretty poor day at the office for the referee, but we all have one some time, unfortunately for some its far too often.
  24. when you talk about riding one of them then that's an exception!!!!!!!!!!!!
