  1. Prior to a meeting taking place the machine examiner checks all bikes are in correct order prior to racing, supposedly!!!! If a rider is deemed to ride dangerously he is disqualified? If a silencer drops off during a race he is excluded? If no dirt deflector is on during a race is he excluded? But if his cut out does not work after just winning a race, but before returning to pits what happens? Exclusion, disqualification or just bad luck?
  2. That was the actual point of the tread as no one could name the line up until last minute, that prevented me from going.
  3. I cannot believe the apathy towards this meeting as the best prospects for British Speedway will be on duty at the meeting. Not well publicized by either Birmingham or BSPA and no one on here cares!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. With a poor days racing and the disappointment of riders not taking part at PLRC a new direction for all 3 riders championships is required. The NSS is the ideal venue for all 3 on consecutive days, Friday for NLRC, Saturday for PLRC and Sunday for ELRC. A truly magnificent idea for a late date in October as when the Old BLRC took place. All play off matches finished and champions crowned the Riders Championships should end the season. Unless a new direction with these events is adopted then drop them as they are fast becoming meaningless to disgruntled fans. Today's episode at Sheffield shows that a man in charge thinks that it was great, but the paying public were more than dis satisfied with lack of programmed riders appearing as they were injured or indisposed.
  5. I cant find any news or details anywhere on the forum (If there is sorry) Wednesday 14 September 19:30 sees Birmingham Speedway host the British Under 19 Championship at Perry Barr. Previously named riders to compete:- 1. Alfie Bowtell (Mildenhall), 2. Jack Thomas (Kent), 3. Zach Wajtknecht (Somerset and Birmingham), 4. James Shanes (Kent), 5. Max Clegg (Wolverhampton, Edinburgh and Cradley), 6. Jack Smith (Birmingham), 7. Ryan Kinsley (Kings Lynn), 8. Jamie Halder (Coventry), 9. Luke Harris (Eastbourne), 10. Kelsey Dugard (Isle of Wight), 11. Nathan Greaves (Sheffield and Kings Lynn), 12. Jack Parkinson Blackburn (Birmingham), 13. Josh Bailey (Scunthorpe and Kings Lynn), 14. Dan Bewley (Edinburgh and Belle Vue), 15. Luke Ruddick (Mildenhall), 16. Ellis Perks (Plymouth and Eastbourne). Reserves: 17. Ben Basford ( /Cradley), 18. Layne Cuppitt (Isle of Wight). Can anyone advise of the known replacements for injured riders?
  6. Super fast meeting and some great racing. Only complaint is the track grading and watering the track. They don`t have a clue what they are doing and it was embarrassing to watch the track being watered when it was raining!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. I went tonight and if you don`t consider that one sided, I think you must not watch a lot of speedway. Watch a lot of speedway all over the world and do not reserve any criticism to Belle Vue alone. A great crowd and congratulation to the tractor drivers who could not do the simplest thing like grade the track without having to do it over and over as they left lumps all over the place and had to be instructed continually. Pity Meredith was sacked.
  8. Thank you for answering my question, it is appreciated. On that I will now go tonight and watch.
  9. Is their a second half meeting? MDL or something as it will be very costly only to see 15 one sided heats and a result that a lot of fans will already know!
  10. Every week in the Speedway Star they publish League Tables and Current Averages for Elite and Premier League. For National League it only does the League Table and no Averages. Is their anywhere that they are shown or are they not important to anyone?
  11. Moving forward 12 months and the unusual list of injury presently existing, could the format be changed so all teams are involved with 2 stand by teams waiting if the same occurs as present. The winner of each group qualifying for the final and best second place from 3 groups. Stand by teams could be named ie:- Exeter, Weymouth, Milton Keynes, Long Eaton, whatever and have riders who have just missed out and are fringe riders just missing out on team places. This is forward planning and thinking, but could be hard for some to comprehend.
  12. If he is not riding then I hope there is a good reason as I was going to support him tonight
  13. Lots of riders are paid for the points they score, but special riders are paid for appearance money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Its too easy watching Sky tonight who was paid on appearance money!!!!!!! Who was paid for appearance money, do you dare to name and shame? KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
  15. Whats the format and who are the Pairs for the Slyde in Ryde Bonanza.
  16. Did not know, does the reserve have to be a Under 21? Can he be used at any time in the meeting to replace a rider at any time?
  17. Point made and all you so called speedway know it all, failed to answer a simple question, 1 nil to the bird brained sex, Sidney the (bird brained robin) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Silly topic really as different times always have different circumstances and will always create arguments and controversy. Who never won a GP but became World Champion? Who should have won the Individual One off World Final but was not allowed to compete?
  19. Buxton had to make team changes due to extenuating circumstances, Cradley made them to win and struggled at home. Well done to Buxton credit where it is deserved.
  20. Very easy to pick the Riders in my opinion. It is to be staged at NSS Manchester. In view of this my Team would be 1. Tai Woffinden 2. Danny King 3. Craig Cook 4. Robert Lambert 5. Steve Worrall 6. Richard Lawson What would your team be?
  21. How many people who have commented on this thread actually attend meetings? Do they actually know where the riders learned how to ride or gained experience? If you do not want to watch don`t, but do not criticize the efforts of everyone who put time and effort into these meetings.
  22. Hope we don`t have to wait too long for news regarding weather. Arrived last week at !9:25 and was wonderful weather, but called off at 19:05!
  23. Will anyone be going, bad forecast for rain from 4 till 9 again. is this fixture to be doomed again?
