Agree with that Robin, i have had anough of the EL also but if the Robins are forced down they're are other clubs alot more in the mire than the Robins.

They win so everything is rosy! sad really i always thought when you are a winner you exspect to get the accolade from everybody i don't see that happening.

I am on about certain incidents that have put a stain on the sport over a long period..Your club for me as great a club as it is are not up there with the great Belle Vue sides, Cradley and the Olsen Coventry sides because they're is a huge feeling from at least 50 per cent of the supporters that theyre has been some dubious decisions over the years.

As long as you win it at all costs that's alright, do you ever think of the bigger picture.?Maybe in a few years you will riding against yourselves A,B and C teams everyone else falling into extinction.The annoying thing is without all your promotions dirty tricks win at all costs mentality ( Balls to the sport as a whole) you would of won trophies anyway don't forget you need opposition to ride against in the future.!

Alot of clubs have fell by the wayside , but alot have survived and plodded on and keep on going.I would say the early 60s was a decent time but now it is a modern world with endless other activities to rival speedway now is a testing time no doubt.

I am a Swindon fan and i think the likes of you have this notion that everyone hates Poole.Gavan is more vocal about them than most but there are endless others on here who feel the same way as him me included.It is not the success you have had that people are envious of it is the way you have gone about.Do you believe? over the years your club has done EVERYTHING within the rules within the SPIRIT of our great sport.We all know in sport and in life in general you need an edge an advantage a ruthless streak to succeed but they're is a mark morally you don't overstep.At Swindon most of the fans i know of and listen to on here have strong principles.Would say ER, ORLOV, yerropes,Chalkie,Hagonshocker,The coombdog,Grachan,Beefy,Orion( and others) turn a blind eye just because we were winning things successfully i think not.They would say something i believe,where the Poole fans (not all) are in they're own little bubble imune from criticism and believe the world is against them.What will Fords legacy be? is it important to him who knows? but everybody is not against Poole just what they stand for.

If you believe speedway fans are all sore losers you could not be further from the truth.But as others have said no one has ever questioned the commitment from Ford when Poole is concerned.But the incidents over the years people will not forget easily thats unless you are a Poole fan of course.An impartial body running the sport is a must, it will never happen of course it won't be aloud to happen because of a chosen few.I will say well done to Poole i am not a sore loser even when the Robins won it last year it was not the be all and end all for me.I want the sport to move forward progress and everybody try to prosper things in speedway have to change in the future.

The worst thing about it is,it is not like everybody is against Poole far from it but they are against what they stand for.I like the club a great history but the sport comes first for me everything should be on a level playing field has it ever been.?I was brought up to give your best whatever you did if someone was better acknowledge that but never cheat if you do you only ever cheat YOURSELF.

I did a 12 hr shift today got home for heat 1, was really looking forward to tonight what a disappointment it was.Ok Poole were worthy winners, won easily but i have been going to Poole since 1974 and now i would have to say it is one of my least favourite tracks.Gate positions vital at times god Barker, King, Harris, put there lives on the line bigtime trying everything but for no reward.I would say that track certainly has home track advantage anyway well done to Poole they were terrific tonight.What worries me is that tonight was a exciting/evening an occasion a great crowd but come October onwards theyre still has to be big changes in the sport from the rules! to other issues.

Dave have you the heat details and scorers for the following meetings.? BLRC 1983 Hyde Rd Belle vue, Halifax v Poole 1983, and Poole v Halifax ( 1983) thanks no worries if you can't.

Although he struggled,didnt Dyer score 2 mighty important points both heat advantages at crucial times in the meeting.

Have success by all means ( not at any cost) but do it in the right way.
