I agree WK he was a winner !he was such a talent and i was so bias with Lee and with the older PC and Mort.I heard on Lee,s DVD he was always wary of Carter.A bit scared even though he did very well against Carter head to head destroyed him 4.0 in the helmet he i knew held him in high regard because he said he was was always quick and and a winner.

No the PL has been better value i believe in my opinion ,everyone to there own i suppose, have you seen a live PL meeting in the last three years?

I was a fan Bruiser bigtime more than anyone, but know way can he be ranked above Simmo also they're is a case that Louis achieved more.Carter was a talent i enjoyed watching him very much better than Simmo no in my book.

It was NW great days, the Abbey has been my track since 1969 i love the place when prepared a great track.Hyde RD was something else a great racetrack often never mentioned it was a fair track my favourite meeting i saw there was the BLRC in 1983 Lee did well after his first race blip his excuse got filled in the track looked untraceable that night.

The days of everybody having they're own coloured leathers and boots were great in my opinion.Remember Bert Harkins,Alan Cowland having different coloured boots they're were some great characters in the sport then.I think Briggo was one of the first to dismiss the monkey mask and cut offs and go to the full face helmet great days eh!John Davis was another one always had flashy leathers great immaculate aquipment ultra professional those days have gone and we have to progress and go with the times i suppose.

Great point ,if you pay rental for a property it amazes me that the profits of certain areas go to the owner.Like you said who takes the loss,?for the voucher just an idea really my take on it is if somebody thinks they are getting a freebie(ie drink (ect) they often spend more on something else.

I ordered a few back issues seven, which now makes up my collection it got delivered a day later which was great.This magazine in my eyes is a brilliant read,well worth the money and once you pick it up you have to read right through well done TMC on a great magazine.

Thats good that it is cheaper for you "woz,at Swindon which is really annoying i believe? that the owners take the profits of the drinks,food,programmes,and car parking so none of that money goes back into the club.If this was not the case,i have always thought maybe the club could give everyone a voucher say for a drink or whatever a gesture in a way.This hopefully persuades the fan maybe to spend more which then profits the club i have never expected the prices to be lowered speedway will never be a ten pound sport.

Should the prices have been lowered in the EL? i think so the most dangerous thing for me are the promoters taking the diehard supporter for granted.?A quid here and there won't make a difference to me i shall always go, but i know a couple of people who regularly go but who do other things as well (ie football).They might think certain meeting,s are not value for money and won't bother going these kind of supporters are the ones speedway desperately need to keep.
