i really enjoyed the meeting and well done to the German, anyone but Pedersen what a dirty rider thank god he didnt collect Chris in the semi final. The racing was excellent different lines it did cut up though ruts on the inside Lindgren was outstanding i think he showed what he is capable of at this level.Pedersen that's why i think he is not up there with the real greats we know you have to be tough in competition but he constantly goes to far in my book. A shame really because he is that good he does not need to do it. -

He has to prove to me that he can do it over a PERiOD i mean 5 to 7 years i am not convinced he has done well but he in my mind is not in the same league as Craven, Lee,Collins we shall see. -

My take GRW is to enjoy riders when they are here Ward( has been slammed unfairly) Shovlar god you have supported Darcy when he has made a mistake and i agree yet you slam Robert is that right?) Anyway i really hope Lambert does well we deserve to have a world class talent again it won't be easy but i will keep my fingers crossed he could be the new Mike the Bike, -

A very poor post and do you know his parents? riders would be chuffed to have careers of those two you named.Tai has done well and if he does not win a toffee from now on he would of done very well he will go on i believe i hope so really disappointed Addio how you can be so critical. -

None of us know the lad, his parents have done a great job done everything for him possible which we all try to do as parents also Robert seems like a level headed lad, Germany has treated him well and he feels a spout of loyalty towards them why not good luck to the lad.I am hoping he comes through,my answer to Robert is don't listen to much to what people say on this forum you have talent and you live and die by your own career choices good luck for the future. -
Have been privileged to see alot of great riders ride at the abbey,as you say such a fair track.Three meeting's that stick out for me are the Big Silver Plume meeting all the England v USA tests ( awesome gates) and my favourite were the New Zealand v Sweden test matches.
-
Do many pass up the inside nowadays, whatever level very rare Ashby was like you said a master.I think the Abbey over the last few years has not always been prepared great the weather has had a big hand in that though it has to be said.
-
They still have the same bog paper in them! Have to disagree ER that is what made our old BL very special all different shapes and sizes and different tests for a rider. If we have a track like Somerset nowt wrong with that an excellent track but not as good as the Abbey.
-
Gustix i have really enjoyed your posts and you are great value, but you are like ME sometimes you don't help yourself. There was no malice towards Keeter as Gemini pointed out he had limited experience and in my opinion did very well indeed odviously then Autrey took it to another level.
-
I know i am taking the mick a bit,"ORLOV " but if? or when? it is taken down i will shed a tear.It has been a big part of my life loads of great memories i love the track and when prepared is up there with the best of them.I just hope we don't end up with a pidley size track i suppose this is PROGRESS i can't say i am happy about it but time moves on.And odviously that stadium is past its sell by date but the actual track isn't though.

Great interview with Briggo sad it will be the last meeting at Spring's, i love the track i see he has still not forgiven Bernie that robbed him of a fifth WC one of my sporting heroes a LEGEND the greatest ever in my book. -
Yes you are correct "iris, in 77 both had qualified for White City i can remember Bast moaning that he was not allowed the track practice that he was promised hence after that year i think when he had qualified he did not bother coming over here.
-
Yes but he had an ample chance at riding riders of his level heat 8 winnable this format does seem to be rather unfair on some more than others.
-
WK PC and Lee should of been around for at least another five seasons at the top level but it wasn't to be.What frustrated me was that from 83 onwards the two Danes dominated until the the late 80s Ermolenko and Moran showed they were good anough to rock the boat. But in 83 Lee showed he could compete and beat the Danes and Carter too, both had good head to head records with both of them.PC after his Arm/ shoulder injury he was finished at the top level he was unfortunate because the 70s era was a damn site harder than the 80s.
-
This format is not right has it been decided after a night out on the beer?.Not anough thought has been put into it for me the dury is still out.
-
What price would you give me?god i would never want to take a bet on him winning the WC.
