Sheffield V Scunthorpe Pl 12/6/14
stratton replied to montie's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Would be a great addition to the EL a superb track and facilities good supporters it won't ever happen though will it? because of the greyhounds? great if it did . -
So you are so superior? why argue you agree with me anyway having a dig at Rossiter, why any reason ? Jealousy perhaps. Why should the public pay 17 pounds to watch two unreconizable teams, so stop your personal snipes at Rossiter and think of the public as a whole. Also well i am at it the NOVICE promotion jibe who are you? to belittle them.
-
Did you here Rossiter speak last night? plus i ent really interested in what crap you posted. If both sides are DEPLETED is it common SENSE to ride the fixture.? No surely not if i pay 17quid i dont want to be shortchanged i want to see two equal teams is that to much to ask for.?
-
Yes right don't worry about the public??? watch a pile of crap.Went to Eastbourne totally B......... no chance of winning that meeting should not have been ridden. Are you for real?? i just want to go away with a chance of being competetive is that to much to ask?
-
Harsh comes to mind trust? anyway who would want to pay for this Mickey Mouse fixture?
-
You are really clued on and your predictions are spot on with the crowds i thought 1200? But how many of them were freebies? i won't be a hypocrite as i have gained over the years now there has to be a stricter CODE i believe.
-
What made you think he would be a failure? for me he is the best young talent around in the world. Also before the meeting last night see him before the start he seems a real chirpy chappie seems to be enjoying his speedway over here.
-
This meeting is one i am really looking forward to cant wait i have not been looking forward to a meeting so much for such a longtime.Pawlicki is a class act i have only see him ride twice live what a talent he is surely a gp rider? Tai i believe will score well tonight i recon he might even go through the card at a minimum drop no more than three points a close meeting Rose who i like cud score a few extra points which could make the difference.

Woffinden is a rider i admire and we should make the most of when he is about a terrific rider and ambassador. If he read? some of this garbage written would he not think is Britain really worth the hassle? We should make the most of when these riders are about there are not many now on view in Britain as for that clown who wrote that on the website he should be hung up to dry. Good post Witcher yes you are correct how many did he sign last night endless amounts i expect that does not get mentioned.I really feel sorry for the young lad who missed out one of those isolated incidents i suppose. My point about autographs are that my son plays pro football in Sweden, and he says he pinches himself everyday that he is able to do something he loves and gets paid for it.For him though he is no superstar the supporters come first everytime they have to without them the sport would be nothing.
-
Privilege you are joking? over the years i have found 99 per cent of the riders great anyway in this respect.Supporters are the bread and butter so they need to considered especially the young uns.As for Woffy if he completes his rides i will be having a punt that he drops no more than two points tonight at the Abbey.
-
I fancy Wolves to go really close and maybe win,Woffinden and Pawlicki to score really well also PK has to be really firing. Thorssell at times has really impressed me Jacob and the Wolves reserves are the key i think.

What a great post Hunter, 82 Lee had a nightmare year never looked comfortable all year regrouped and had a great recovery year at Poole. I can remember Malc at Milton Keynes in 79 i was there at Milton Keynes the last big final Humphreys, Grahame,Harrrison,Holloway.the finale late September typicall,Malc gated like a long dog and he was gone bob and Andy were classy riders hard to beat at the Gtoveway.

Gp Qualifier Sat June 7th @ Ljubljana
stratton replied to tomazpozrl's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
FInn Jensen? No i am chuffed for Nicolai on Thursday at the abbey he rode his bollocks off did really well. -
Leigh i think "ORLOV "was great in his team riding of James Wright and David Ruud.I can't wait to see his son Declan ride i hope so and Leigh can help and return i hope his lad is a success hard to follow his old man though.
-
Leonard could gate for fun Willy but sometimes he forgot to turn left, no seriously i would go to work then go just to watch Adams what a treat total class really and EVERY WEEK he did it for us.!
-
I was gutted when Crash was eliminated but i was a big Ray Wilson fan and supported him at Wembley.Grahame that was a massive shock, this meeting certainly was my biggest low in speedway Malc Holloway qualified and had qualified through a mega tough british semi final at Birmingham.I felt he had a chance 7 pts was nearly good anough to qualify but Malc just did not perform i remember Wiggy as a NL guy mixing it well.
-
Cant disagree with that,Swindon have been so lucky Briggs,Ashby, Crump senior and Leigh sod the team you would go just to watch them everyweek.Even Kilby was top notch for long periods and we see the classy Autrey for one season we were so fortunate i believe.
-
I think the Coombdog,Steve,Orion and Spikethebike are totally right, something has to change a different approach and direction.Got there last night the crowd poor, atmosphere poor and lets be honest the entertainment average at best a few races with Doyley in and the Simon pass of Bjerre that was it.The stadium looks tired dated but the thing that struck me was at times i was bored stiff.I love the sport like others on here, but we all have to get our heads out of the sand drastic changes have to be made.Steve Brum thinks things are hunky dory i admire his enthusiasm but evergreen fans are fearing the worse.
-
Was on the first bend was Doyley looking for Batch? was a tough move and i feared for PK a nasty spill. 800 to 900 maybe Orion? certainly more than the Eastbourne match just.
-
Briggs record from1961. - 1972. was 6 wins, 4 second places, and a third place pretty awesome in mega tough fields.I was never a fan of the meeting really, never liked Coventry much i went to my first one in 75 and was gutted when Ashby got beat in a run off. I also went in 77,78 both Lee, 1980 Jessup 82.An Grahame. 84, 85 both Carter and my last one in 86 Evitts.Did anyone else go? to any of the Finals when they were ridden at West Ham and Sheffield (ect).

You certainly have not seen Nick ride at the Abbey then, because i find your statement amazing. You are entitled to your opinion of course,i would love to know what his home average is over the last two years?i would think it is quite healthy.Birmingham is not one of Nicks favourite hunting grounds but overall he is improving away from home. -
Then who knows both Pawlicki bros knocking on the door,Dudek,Emil back, PK, it won't be easy.
