  1. Class rider he wil be ok,the KIng,s Lynn fans will stick with him they did at times with Rory Kenneth will be fine.
  2. Cant understand why there can't be an outright trophy for the champions that has to be right. Then two semi finals for a grand finale final a consolation surely that is not to hard to organise.?
  3. Cant disagree Tyler his cv was a pretty good one,he qualified for 16 british FInals in a mega tough era.
  4. Davey was never a no 1 but he certainly was not a second string, but that was because he was around with Louis and Sanders. And he would of been a no 1 most years when he challenged PC for the golden helmet.Pusey underachieved was a heat leader in a tough era and i think he reached a BLRC with Halifax. You are right "Tyler i see him win the manpower at Reading one year.I was not a fan of his also he had far better aquipment than most, but he was not as talented as alot of riders who had inferior aquipment.
  5. So right Robin this should never happen, how can the likes of Cook make a living and invest in his aquipment if he does not have a foreign club.? Also these PL riders mostly bolster the EL standard without them it would be even poorer than it is now.
  6. Bloody hell Paulco we get mr blue sky and American pie cringeworthy eh!
  7. Funny thing is "Shale Searcher i don't ever remember being bored when i was younger, and often the second halves with the juniors were good. Now my wife picks me up at 9.45 on a Thursday and sometimes i can't wait to get home.My memory is that then all teams had a very decent no1 and say for example Glasgow Jimmy Mac Halifax Booey you might only get to see them ride live once a year. Also teams had old favourites, riders you could identify with who were good value good riders and real triers.ie) ex) Thomas,Pusey,Goody,Street,Wilkinson,Plant,May,Leigh,Haley and i could name endless others.Today i enjoy the GPS very much which surprises me as i was a staunch one off final man.But today's EL there is alot of dross served up often with Pearson dressing it up to the hilt. The PL what i have seen is more my cup of tea and if they introduce young Brits getting chances at reserve that will improve it even more.
  8. He will be decent i believe, had a decent Aussie season, also he took his time on what he wants to do.Is he not going for his exams and get himself a trade? before he embarks on his speedway career.?
  9. Morton,Kilby (defo), Davey,Pusey were not second strings all were a number 1 or 2 in the averages. You are right though Colin, the quality is not there now people like Cartwright, j.Owen,Broadbelt,Bastable,Davis,( ect) would be in there element now.
  10. At Kings Lynn believe me Lambert is as good as a option as King/Bridger for me also those other two have had past opportunities.Could Lambert beat the likes of Dryml Fox, (ect certainly i watched him last night and he was on the pace.He was against Kildemand,Batchelor, and was competetive also is Blackbird a tiger Louis type? a late developer also like Lawson Blackbird is a decent gater( his dad was not a great gater but see him beat Nielsen in the helmet).!
  11. Garrity,Blackbird,Kerr for me are not fast track reserves they have experience in the PL.All three are at a standard that we should be having at EL level Greaves,Payne,Sarjeant,as ex)are real rookies and good on em they have competed as best as they can.As for the GB squad i am really disappointed no longterm vision.
  12. A blip along the way for the Stars, but they will get a reaction i have no doubt about that. The race that really told me it was not going to be the Stars night was when Iversen gated twice and was long gone. But PK fell and it was rerun three times then of course Puk missed the start i did not stay after the meeting i wondered did Jack Holder get any laps under his belt.?
  13. I think Rossiter has missed a trick same old same old, Worrall has been pretty average in both leagues,Barker,Bridger,King,Stead are they much better than Blackbird,Lambert,Lawson.? The latter three i would of picked but to be honest i am very disappointed with this squad has he a long term vision or is he content with short term results.
  14. A well earned home win against a very good Kings Lynn side, not a classic but they're were a few decent races.Wright impressed again and Morris with some tough rides mixed it very well when you look at it Morris and Lambert really have some tough programmed rides.Puk was down on his usual form but again Rory showed his liking for the abbey also i would like to mention Simon Lambert he rode his nuts off for a couple of points.
  15. I don't agree he is lulling behind a few and he never looks like qualifying on merit now.We all Know he has ability but he is clearly behind Kildemand at this present time and he is in a group who are on the fringes.
  16. I don't think you need a Don King/Hearn type a dictator, maybe an independent body.Really you need most people pushing in the same direction and as we all know it is not happening at the moment.
  17. I think once a fortnight is about right, with teams having regular 1/7 line ups not multiple guests double uppers (ect).
  18. Spot on i have never been a great fan of Greg not like Autrey,Penhall,Sigalos, and both Moran bros. But what a rider a nice bloke with it, great with supporters and you have to say still what a great rider he has been over the years. And still he is there on merit a great ambassador for our sport , we are lucky to have him on board still.
  19. An away win for me, the Stars are to solid for the Robins, be great if Lambert has a decent meeting maybe that would sway Rossiter to include him in the WTC.?
  20. The toilet paper has improved not that you could see yourself wiping ur a...
  21. Totally disagree if Rosco told people his preference will be to give youth a chance we will give him a bit of slack i certainly will.If he goes same old same old and fails i certainly won't my team for what it is worth would be Tai, Harris,Cook,Lambert.
  22. 1971/80 easily for me ,Briggs,Mauger,Olsen,Collins,Michanek,Lee,Crump,Jansson,Ashby,Betts,Wilson,Boulger,Persson,Sjosten,Plech,Jancarz,(ect) a great period for me.
  23. I agree and i believe to be world champion at two different disciplines (ie) the GPS or a one off final both take different qualities in a rider whoever does it it takes alot of doing.
  24. I am really enjoying the series some really good racing ,but for me it is still not a patch on the one off final. That was a proper day out even if like some of the GPS there were some average ones along the way.
