After watching the World Cup this week, the GP series looks to be in great shape.Was really impressed with Eduard Krcmar, Berntzon looks a terrific prospect,Millik has great ability these guys could be around in the series in three to five years time.Added to the Pawlicki brothers and a few other young poles the future looks rosy who else do people could push forward to the elite of the series.?Lambert i think will be in the series in seven years time i will commit to that he has the ability.His gating will improve but he is the only rider since Tai that has shown me he has the ability to reach the top Lochdaev is another rider who keeps impressing me to.

When the big league was tried before it was in different circumstances,trying it now would be a different proposition.It has to happen for me in the future,the EL is doomed i believe the way it is at the moment. Loram was a huge favourite of mine, remember him as a mascot also riding as a 16 year one of the most exciting riders i have ever seen.My point is in the year he won it,he did not win a round if i am correct? was just saying is that rule that was in place then did it give us the right winner who knows.?In my memory of the old WC only Jerzy Szczakiel and to a lesser exstent Muller were surprise winners generally the deserved winners won it not always in the right year though.

Was Loram the best over a season? also to even get into a one off final was tough especially getting through some of those tough british rounds(ie) British finals (with Briggs,Mauger,Moore in them.

Good points as usual, yes it would be better to decide over a season.My take is it takes a different quality to win a one off final and a different skill to win over a period in an ideal world wouldn't it be great to have both.It is not to be though, the series at the moment though is doing the sport proud great value great entertainment.

No Lambert at home,maybe he would of added local interest a few extra bums on seats , he should of been in the five minimum would of stirred interest up ..Rosco lets be honest most of us could of named this line up, the sad thing is longterm he has not got a clue short term he is looking after his cv week to week for Rosco.

But there is a BUT eaces1? at the moment there is a bit of a closed shop, you said there were no hopers in the field then but they had the opportunity to get there.Are the likes of Jonsson,Bjerre,Harris,Holta,Lindgren,(ect) are they not no hopers in a way,they will never be world champion yet they get in year after year.

Great post Vince,in my memory i think most people would believe that Mauger and Lee were two of the worst offenders in history at rolling.But i always felt over a period things evened itself out,like you said how can you tell if he has anticipated the start or just made a excellent start?you can't.I watched Bob Kilby for years he was the best starter i have ever seen but his reactions were so quick a skill, a main bug bearer for fans are the continued delays back and forth to the pits.
