Totally right about Rob legend i trust him bigtime ,,Dave he is spot on for me and as i have said i took Rob's figures as gospel for the swindon 67 championship side.Also i know it is off the subject a bit Malc Holloway was my favourite rider alongside Briggo and Mike Lee his first season in the 1980 as a full time BL rider he averaged 4.93 the other site said 5.31 a big difference for me.

He adds something to our country he contributes in the year he last doubled up how many meeting,s did he do? sometimes riding seven days a week how much tax did he pay?.And you are right there are to many foreigners over here SOME taking out of the system when they have put zilch in.You are right though make it difficult for some people but you have to choose the right ones and Doyley as an (ex) does not come into that category.

It amazes me that somebody like Doyley who has paid his taxes (plenty of them) has hassle with a visa restrictions (Ect).Yet other undesirables come over here scot free offer nothing to our country and are aloud to take out of our system.

I have been putting together all of my memorabilia of the 1967 Swindon championship side.Are the averages on the speedway riders history and results website accurate ? do they include extra matches challenges (ect).Because some of the averages differ, i usually go for all the official yearbook books and the speedway star for the averages, With the 67 Swindon side i went with the figures in the official history of Swindon speedway book.I also looked for the average of Mauger in 69? i thought it would be 11.74 that was different what figures do any of you go by.?

I listen to what Starman has to say whether he is right or wrong,yourself i don't take you seriously.I can't remember you ever really debating any subject positively,always a dig here and there and go back through your posts there is a massive trend there with Poole speedway.Starman say what you like about him but he is passionate and he does know his speedway as for you there is not alot of evidence that show me that you know yours.

Newman who i like is a reserve do i think he could cope in the top 5 ? no in my opinion a few of the other draft riders might.? I don't like how the draft system is but today was exciting not knowing who you got maybe it could reape the benefits in the future who knows.?Saying that i like riders like Newman,Rose,Kerr,Garrity (ect ) to stay at the same club and aid there development and are favourites of there club.

Do you believe that Rose is the better longterm prospect?i like both to be honest i was surprised in Rose's PL average he is miles better than that a big year for him i believe.To be honest Gordon, that's what makes league racing for me special the CORE of the riders staying at clubs everyear not the musical chairs everywhere changes galore.

I do agree certainly Panther on the learning aspect i liked the day when Bettsey Lee, were part of the furniture same great riders the team were built around those great favourites.

Terrible rule try to produce riders they always have at Lynn, give young uns a go such a shame Rose is not at the track he should be.Again this fast track idea is great but really Kerr,Newman, Auty, need to be pushed into cutting it in the 1/5 Rose as an example has been penalised surely he would rather be at Lynn.?

The Fast track scheme is good in a way, but it would be nice to think clubs like King,s Lynn could of used Kerr/Rose again.I like continuity in teams where fans can relate to there old favourites.Wont moan though as it is great that Rose is on board at Swindon.

I am really pleased with the two reserves,chuffed to bits, both impressed me at the Abbey Rose i believe could become a very good EL rider good luck to both lads.

I went to the White City meeting in 77,and i really expected Bast to put up a show.But to be fair to him he was mugged off he was promised alot of track time practice weeks before the meeting but this never happened.So really looking back it was an impossible task for him it just shows you Penhall struggled that day but four years later he was World Champ.

It did to the ambitious ones,they knew they had to come over here to reach the top of the tree.Penhall,Ermolenko,Hancock all did it in Penhalls case it took alot as he came from a wealthy background.
