  1. Ritchie was a true great i would get home at dinner/time from school here him talk what a man.Gracefull never nasty or VIndictive loved to here from him.Arlott another great, we have had great sport people over the years Carpenter,Gutteridge,Laker,Lanning,Walker, Moore, Motson, just a few examples.
  2. He is better than the PL this young rider is a talent.
  3. I am with you Japser the set up team the gearing (ect) there is a fine line between scoring 7 points or 12.?The ability is there 24 years old he has a few years ahead of him career wise never compare anyone to Woffinden that guy was such a talent.Tai could be World Champion two or three times i recon if you you asked Tai he would say that Josh is a good rider.Josh in a way reminds me of Ian Cartwright he could be a late developer, Ian was good odviously better than Josh but he kept going worked hard a real Brit. The Scunny fans are lucky to be able to see Auty everyweek, i really hope he can push on in his career.
  4. That is the best i have seen Hans ride for a couple of years, riding like that he is on the fringes of pushing for the Gp series. To get even near the series he has to ride at the level he was at last night i am not convinced he can do it we shall see.?
  5. I would not agree with that, Consistency is his problem he is still young anough this year he has started well we will see if he maintains it.In a week or so he has a heavy schedule,i want to see if he puts in consistent scores over that period.
  6. He has had two seasons where he has been around that figure if he has a bit of luck (ie efs, falls, injuries he could do it.
  7. Auty for me if he can sometimes except defeat take the position and points he will score more. But that is why he is so exciting,he never gives up rides his balls off and he is a number 1 i believe. He needs to just ride more meeting's keep sharp i will be very surprised if he does not average 8.50 in the PL.
  8. June i did say that Scunny have been great with the young uns (ie Williamson and i was gutted that they could not prolong a run in the team a couple of years ago with young Bates as he has talent.Auty i have been a fan of since his interval rides he still can still improve i believe that, and being at Leicester should improve him as a rider. If he can be consistent for Scunny maybe get to another British Final and his aim should be to be a top five EL rider he has the ability to do it.
  9. I like Lunna and i think he will come good also by everyone's comments he is great value he certainly was great value when he rode at Swindon the other week. But do people think? that not anough English kids get chances like some of there foreign counterparts. At Scunny they were great with Williamson gave him every chance but are there a few not getting chances.? As for Scunny what do they think about Auty what sort of season is he in for can he beat his best PL average.?
  10. What about S.Lawson, Jackson(class) Etheridge.?
  11. I think this Sheffield side is pretty decent, won today without Steady getting a hatful. How was Auty? and his battles with Simon Scunny fans.?
  12. Well done to you and the other men/women,its people like yourself that keep speedway going the weather won again thats nature.I am glad it was off i am not interested in watching follow the leader and the greater risk of a rider getting injured.
  13. Thanks Tigerite, if Arthur can have a few meeting's where he has 5/6 rides he will get better and better. Is Andre a key rider? that heat 1 partnership looks a very strong one.
  14. Without efs (ect) is Steady going to average about 11.5 at home this year ?and how is Sissis looking?.I believe in Sissis you have a fine rider for the future i also think the Tigers will be around the play/ off places this year and Compton could be the key rider.
  15. ( only because of Lambert's poor gating but hopefully he looked the other night he had addressed that.Ward was a talent and always will be but no one comes close to Lee.And he went on to do it for a longer period than most think and remember 1975/83 a world title winner and Longtrack was placed twice and fourth once in six world final appearances.
  16. I have said for ages the Speedway Star is great value and today is no exception.
  17. I think you are right "Tellboy he does remind me of Dugard,i see quite alot of Martin when he was partnered with Nielsen at Oxford. As for Robert i would put only Lee,Ward,Emil in front at the same stage of there career.
  18. Chuffed for Robert tonight,i see him last year and he was always on the pace it was just his gating that let him down.I thought he had a superb year generally it was a tough ask for him in the top five but he did very well indeed.Tonight things came together for him, doubling up has to be great for him more meeting's more sharpness .What i would like for him this year is to qualify for a British Final and put on a great show and push on to get in the five man WTC squad.
  19. You have met your match in Pugwash, and that quote he left says it all for me, and when are you ever WRONG?.Does that quote ring any bells for you? it does for me.
  20. This post has made my year i am pi....g myself laughing,i can and others in the past can identify with what you are saying. He does the same thing time and time again, you try to have a say but he grinds you down into submission. In the end let him have the WIN also the treatment of Starman has been a disgrace but no surprise at all.I will take a load of crap in the meantime but i am not bothered , again the same ganging up suspects appear Oldace,Blazeaway,SCB, ( the clown Poole hater Gavan), and who is this other prat 4 giliian another tool well done Pugwash great post.
  21. I presume he was that DRUNK he had to be carried into the stadium?. It does not matter how much alcohol he had in his body he shouldn't of had any he made a humane mistake and he is now paying the cost.
  22. I have not really thought of them as an away force, but Bech is really talented could push on AJ away will be decent and on the few times i have seen him away Nillson has real ability.
  23. Stead will again be around the WTC scene, he has to be , at home he will take some beating and he will improve i believe his away average.I really enjoyed his spell at Swindon, a real nice bloke also a brilliant team man i think as he gets older he could still improve.
  24. They love both the Poole fans, and i myself support both riders and both have a longterm future at the club, this forum is not an overwhelming feeling of any club in my book. The people i speak to want Ward involved in speedway, he is brilliant at it i do UNDERSTAND though he has to toe the line and knuckle down not many more chances left for him.I know you dislike Middleditch but for me his loyalty to Darcy has been brilliant,i can identify with that i have three real close friends who i would support to the hilt and vice versa friendship means everything. I went on Thursday to see him alone, not a great evening for him but he will be a force no doubt about that.
  25. I totally agree he hasn't a clue,i have spoke with endless Poole fans at the Abbey over the years and there is great banter between us a few of them remember the lean times Poole endured over a period from being champions in 1969 onwards.Ward i only support as a speedway fan,who wants to see the best ride and when focused he is one of the best.I have not been to Poole as much over the years as i would of liked, a beautiful area a great day out with the speedway thrown in at night a great day i went there quite alot in the 80s (ie Autrey,Lee, Davis days.
