  1. Fundin Mauger, Olsen,Nielsen, Gundersen,Penhall,Lee, Gollob,Huxley, Farndon, Duggan, Briggs ( the best ever opinion not FACT??) Moore,Wilkinson,Rickardsson,J.Crump,Craven,Collins,Sigalos, Adams all above NP my humble opinion not FACT.!!
  2. I think it will secretly WK,i can remember Mike Tyson once saying when Cassius Clay/Ali said Tyson was a great fighter that meant more to him than any boxing award he won. Also behind his menace and front it hurt him when he was booed and hated by some Pedersen i believe wants to be remembered as an all time great he is not in my all time top 20 is he in yours.?
  3. A rider (ie Pedersen who has got away with murder for years don't forget that. Good point i enjoy watching him ride his career you have to admire and i met him once when he rode for Oxford and he was a really nice bloke. When he retires will he regret? not having the total RESPECT of his rivals will it bother him in old age secretly.?
  4. It amazes me Hancock a fine Champion and what a great advert he has been for the for he sport, makes one mistake yet he is crucified by some on this forum cry baby (ect). Ward also gets murdered by some on here, yet Pedersen can do no wrong, a real love in for some baffling if Pedersen retired tomorrow it would not bother me one bit.
  5. Surely it won't be up and running by late March 2016.?Fricke again impressive reminds me so much of the great Leigh Adams ,a armchair racing style the same as the late great super Simmo.Would love Ward to come here, surely he would put 300 on the gate! i would love him to comeback and show his endless critics on here what we have been missing Nicki Pedersen who is he?
  6. Well done to the Aces a fine win, does anyone have any news? houses going up no sign of work starting on the new stadium WORRYING times.!
  7. Tonight could be a banana skin for us,a very big ask for the Robins with the team we have out.Ward after June 28th could be the last spin of the dice for us, we know big decisions have to be made but if we don't i see the play/offs slipping away.
  8. Yesterday could of ended in disaster but Pedersen was lucky this time, next time whoever the rider might be he might not be so lucky.
  9. Bruiser Pawlicki snr puzzles me he has a great riding style real class but at times does not show it.Early in the season i watched him in the Poland v Denmark match at Ostrow he was flying. I just hope he qualifies for the series soon i actually rate him higher than Zmarzlik
  10. Grow up are you for real? do you not think he has a case Arson? dumped on his a.. not for the first time and potentially put in a position that he could of been seriously injured. Some on this forum amaze me, they destroy Ward at every opportunity yet they give Pedersen leeway i don't understand why.Pedersen has been using his antics for years and been aloud to get away with it and some of his moves are premeditated which makes it worse.Olsen,Briggs,Fundin,Mauger great champions were all hard riders, but fair ok they made mistakes at times causing incidents but all racers except that.I see Olsen get it wrong once at Coventry in an incident with Ashby, also i see Mauger fence Kilby at the Abbey. Those incidents happened because of a human error,Pedersen it is just the norm for him a same pattern every year.Pedersen does he have the respect of his closest rivals NO does Hancock YES that says it all for me.
  11. Violence does not solve anything you are right "Arson, the problem is that Pedersen has been aloud to get away with it for years. And at times he has been shown up, as some riders have stuck up to him Costa at Chelsea is the same.As for my chin it has held up quite well over the years, i hope yours is not like Amir Khans?!!, Arson. The annoying thing is Pedersen is such a terrific rider he does not need to do it his ability would be anough anyway. After watching the incident i was thinking how last week a young Lambert made a similar sort of move on Greg. But how he put himself in the right position and made his manoeuvre FAIRLY shows you what ability Lambert has.
  12. I would of loved Pedersen to have tried his antics on say a Steve Gresham, Jack Millen, Tony Clarke, Phil Crump,Arthur Browning, and others.Pedersen i lost respect for him years ago i admire him as a rider but that's why he will never go down as a all time great. He oversteps the mark and that move tonight on Hancock was a disgrace i don't blame Hancock for his reaction.
  13. The future is looking bright on the GP scene, my five for the future not original i know but what do other people think.?1.Pawlicki Jnr, 2.Pawlicki snr 3. lambert, 4. B.Kurtz 5.Smarzlik. Two long shots Fricke and Pawel Przedpelski. Any thoughts.? would you put money on any of them.?
  14. Was he better than Mick ? Doubt it.!!!
  15. Awesome WK he was a great dog the best ever, i love greyhound racing top class stuff i suppose i have been lucky anough to see top class dog racing at Wimbledon a couple of times. The Abbey at Swindon is a bags track SIS) i love dog racing been enjoyed the Abbey is a big track for the dogs.!
  16. Speedway needs him back like a hole in the head like the footy referees Poll (ect they want to be the stars of the show.He was awful no understanding and a ego bigger than Simon Cowell.!!
  17. Impressed everytime i see him race ,by racing in Germany has really helped him not phased at all his manoeuvres from the back outstanding. As for the British Final all of us have been robbed what a joke, onwards and upwards for Robert.
  18. Are you seriously saying Ward would not put it totally in ,worrying about an average.I don't think so i would imagine he would want to earn money get race fitness and move on with his career i am sure his bank balance is not relying on riding for Poole next year.!!
  19. One of the best posts i have read on here for along time i can relate to all of it especially the points about the reserves. Those riders were often the crowd favourites,no world beaters but real team players and often were long serving riders which all us fans could relate to.At Swindon Keen and Hitch were my favourites (not ASHBY ??) both real racers. Also your point about making your own assessments on riders is so right, often you need to forget the figures and averages and go by your own instinct.I don't no what others think wouldn't it be great if we had matches with all riders having there programmed rides and no tactical changes at all the best team on the night then wins.
  20. Totally right the second halves they were excellent for encouraging juniors giving them experience and mixing it with the big boys. And your point about the Junior leagues is spot on at Swindon we produced Rosco,David/Kevin Smart,Hewlett and a few others with that ploy but cutbacks and change saw the end of it.
  21. A great post one of the best ever,i loved the good old days like yourself and WK but we do realise things have changed .But for the BETTER that is debatable, going back in my memory i cannot remember endless guests being used number 8s yes which i agreed with but today guests are just the norm i am afraid. Is there a solution to guests i would say no to be honest, i think often when no 8s were used the teams often had two really good second/ third heat leaders which often sofened the blow.
  22. Sarjeant i believe has done nearly as well as Garrity if anything at times he seems as capable as Garrity at beating the second strings i think Garrity his average is false .Also Blackbird has not been that great this year also in The PL he has not always done that well i think Sarjeant,Lambert, (ect the lesser lights have done well at times this year.
