Doncaster and Kennett i would not have them in my list but they were both excellent riders a hard subject which is great as we all have different opinions.!! -

i still think 76 slipped Simmo by, as i dont think PC would of got Simmo from the back very often for at least a three year period Simmons was a real contender was real class. In 76 people forget Jansson i believe he would of challenged PC very hypothetical i know but he was a real threat. I don't know much about the blond bombshell Warren apart from research and my uncle saying he underachieved but was a brilliant rider also Alan Hunt was some rider also. -
I won't even respond, because even myself Jacques, Blazeaway have been civil to each other because at the moment Darcy getting better is all that matters.

Please Addio make your point but don't come across as SUPERIOR because you are far from it .Have a read of your post have a opinion but that's all it is your opinion. -
No i have not a chip and i am SORRY maybe i have been harsh sorry again but Gustix does not warrant alot of stick in my humble opinion.

Joe this is a great thread but i would have Aces 1 Autrey has to be in it surely ?i think in 78/79 he was a big player i thought in 78 he had a massive chance i remember Ivan fending him off in one race for me he was a terrific rider no 1 in the averages was it 79?or 78. -
No i agree and i dont want to make waves but you did not make snide remarks about him WK ever you were disappointed with him but you were willing to forgive and forget over a period if he had earned it.
-
No but if you slag people off over a period snide remarks why would you say anything? i would be embarrassed have a look back on numerous posts so she should not come on here preaching about Gustix.?I want a great end result for Darcy i want him to recover pray for him to recover we all know who supported Darcy so people who did not dont bother now with there false statements.
-
Yeh right you crucify Gustix (John) i never ever remember Gustix slagging Darcy off he supported the bloke always see the good side .Yet memory tells me you slagged Darcy off at every opportunity, what a hypocrite you are?have a look at your posts concerning Ward you in my mind have no right to comment on Darcy as you slagged the bloke off time/time again.

Again you are getting confused it is just your Humble OPINION, i am not saying i am right just my opinion what you are saying seems pretty arrogant. And when you are comparing riders where does fact come into it? Crump/Olsen both won three titles as Pedersen did for me those two are light years ahead of Pedersen. But again it is only my OPINION and my opinion counts for nothing as does yours it is all down to the individual who they prefer. A poor example Davis was twice the player White ever was. I think "Sommelier"we all know Gollob was exciting but because he only won one title does not mean he is a lesser to Pedersen/Hancock. Far from it myself i don't go by the roll of honour remember there are endless GREAT riders who never won a title. In the same era give and take a few years Ricko,Pedersen, Crump,Hancock,Gollob, out of that group Hancock and Pedersen are the bottom two for me again only my OPINION not FACT.!!! If you go by achievements are you saying that Adams ,Sigalos,Duggan,Warren, a few examples were not as good as some of the winners because they never won a title.? And please i watch snooker and White was never EVER as good as Davis, Davis is in the top three players ever in history.

No Sigalos ( before injury)??surely you must of forgot. -
I went Macca and i was really confident Lee would go close he had whipped Carter in the helmet and for about a month things were going great for him?We got to Norden at about 6 in the morning it was p....g down we all thought it has to be off Muller on the day was superb i still think Billy Sanders could of been more tougher on him in there race a great day out though. Only your opinion which you find hard to separate from FACT my take on it for me Gollob his BEST EVER was better than Pedersen/Hancock.He did things on a motorcycle that not many could do beat a peak Rickardsson in 2002 a great meeting in Bydgoszcz and if i am honest Gollob underachieved bigtime often the pressure got to him.It would be great to know from Norbold,Gustix, iris/ Custom (ect) how they define greatness? Roll of Honour Longevity whatever but Gollob at his BEST was every bit as good as Pedersen/Hancock.

Coventry V Swindon - 21/08/2015
stratton replied to Grachan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Agree see him ride for Buxton a real racer also when he won the Conference Final at Rye House still he scored four decent points and this was a very good away win. -
Really enjoyed tonight a decent team performance by the Budgies Kings Lynn were disappointing.Iversen got his act together in the end a great win over Ward and Morris and Porsing rode with credit.A mention for Darryl Ritchings i thought he did well ok he didnt score i thought he would really be off the pace but he gated in heat two and in his third ride pushed hard for four laps. After his horrendous injuries after the crash with Garrity he has done great to ride again i hope the lad is not to disheartened it was great to have a local lad in the team again.

No a great post Central and discussing things like this beats squabbling with some on here.I think from the mid sixties Barry had the upper hand then Ivan from 68 got on top a bit but i have noticed in my collection Briggo certainly beat Ivan quite a bit in individual events.Dont get me wrong Central i loved watching Ivan ride when other riders were turning up in scruffy cars with a bike on the back Ivan turned up in a immaculate van he certainly took speedway to another level professionally. And he had to sacrifice alot and work damn hard to get where he did Ivan, Briggo,Ole are in my top ten top ever sport stars. What i remember most about Ivan was how decent he was with the fans, never refused autographs and lets not forget he was not that popular at Swindon was booed alot but he took it in his stride. So Central you believe Ivan was better than Briggo around Hyde Rd? you have a great case and you could well be right.I have all of the six Briggo 6 BLRC programmes wins my uncle went i never did but enjoyed going to Hyde Rd from 73 onwards a great racetrack the best.
-
You could well be right and the bloke was total class, but Central said he believed Mauger was a better rider at the great Hyde Rd than Briggo.I don't agree with that Hyde Rd suited Briggo down to the ground as the track suited his race style. Also around Belle Vue you have to put Craven, Olsen,Collins,Carter as greats around that great track.
