The 1983 BLRC should of been called off for me,i am glad it was not it P.....d down all the way up and i thought it has to be off.In Lee /Carter's first ride they were both worried about each other ,i think Petersen and Andersson( who was not the best at Hyde rd) beat both Kenny third and Mike both getting really filled in.After that Lee was decent even though his Hyde Rd record was pretty chequered he beat Hans in a a run off for second place that meeting really sticks in the mind and then Lee won the pride of the east in October killing the GREAT Nielsen.

Enjoyed tonight Zenghi was superb has really had a great season away he has surprised me tonight he was bloody quick,Doyley was pretty good too.I wish we could get him back Jason,on bend two which is tricky he has got it sussed out pretty good looked hairy at times chuffed he has progressed so much.Tonight was a low key affair all of us thinking of Darcy,Doyle was very good i like the Pole Wozniak he is not a typical pole but he will progress but an easy home win.

Did you go to the BLRC at the Vue in 83 a swamp? and the Overseas final if so what were your memories eaces1? the Overseas Final one race with Lee,Grahame,Phil Collins on you tube great stuff wish there was footage of the BLRC 83.

Interesting Norbold Roger Frogley how good? have a few pictures of him but not alot to go on.Off the subject other riders that i have been putting a collection together of Sprouts Alder,Ron Johnson,Frank Varey,Dent Oliver, can you give me your welcome opinion of them.!

With no Darcy now is there an extra wild card place going? i certainly think Lindback is the only swede who should be in it.I hope both Pawlicki brothers and Kildemand qualify i also think Pawel Przedpelski should be around the series he is that good i believe.

What order ?Craven,Collins,Lee,Williams,Price. ? My order would be Craven,Lee,Collins,Williams,Price.But if i hazarded a guess the general consensus would be Craven. Collins Williams. Lee. Price with TAI gate crashing that lot in a few years time.

Yes you are quite right for me to get an autograph look at the bikes really made me take to the sport and which made me love it.I suppose it is a different world now,but i love it when kids get the buzz and hopefully feel about the sport the way i do.It worries me when the likes of myself WK and even you Iris go is there anough of the younger generation coming through to support it i have my doubts. Great post everything spot on.

For me WK that half hour at Swindon from 6.30 to 7.00 on race night is very very important the fans can look in the pits get a few autographs have a look at the bikes the young ones love it i still do.Often these riders now have to dash off so don't have a drink in the bar after and mingle with the fans it really annoys me when sky is there it is stopped.

What a great era with some real top names,i have always been fascinated with the careers of Farndon,Huxley,Bluey,Stephenson,Duggan (ect) in my humble opinion i always thought Duggan was tops what a terrific riding style the Aussie had.

Just shows you there is a hell of alot of quality there,with a few missed out Arthur Forrest was a great shout by Norbold.

Doncaster and Kennett i would not have them in my list but they were both excellent riders a hard subject which is great as we all have different opinions.!!

i still think 76 slipped Simmo by, as i dont think PC would of got Simmo from the back very often for at least a three year period Simmons was a real contender was real class.In 76 people forget Jansson i believe he would of challenged PC very hypothetical i know but he was a real threat. I don't know much about the blond bombshell Warren apart from research and my uncle saying he underachieved but was a brilliant rider also Alan Hunt was some rider also.

I won't even respond, because even myself Jacques, Blazeaway have been civil to each other because at the moment Darcy getting better is all that matters.

No we all know White was mega talented and god he did deserve to win a WC ,but you could not put him on the same level over a period as Davis.Davis for me is there with three other greats J.Davis,Ronnie,Hendry.

Crump/Olsen both won three titles as Pedersen did for me those two are light years ahead of Pedersen.But again it is only my OPINION and my opinion counts for nothing as does yours it is all down to the individual who they prefer. A poor example Davis was twice the player White ever was. I think "Sommelier"we all know Gollob was exciting but because he only won one title does not mean he is a lesser to Pedersen/Hancock. Far from it myself i don't go by the roll of honour remember there are endless GREAT riders who never won a title.In the same era give and take a few years Ricko,Pedersen, Crump,Hancock,Gollob, out of that group Hancock and Pedersen are the bottom two for me again only my OPINION not FACT.!!! If you go by achievements are you saying that Adams ,Sigalos,Duggan,Warren, a few examples were not as good as some of the winners because they never won a title.?
