The strange thing for me aces1" that he was approaching his peak,he was not on the slide, but i always had a sneaky feeling he was not totally in love with racing.

I never realised there were so many people who were not lovers of Penhall the person.For me he was a great rider,he would of stopped Erik/Hans dominating if he had not retired i am sure of that no way he would of beat Egon in 83 though.He did leave the sport in the S... , looking back at it now it seems a really strange thing to do.I don't know if anybody else has read the same thing, but apparently the last time he had a few laps he could hardly slide the bike.I don't know if that is true? really surprising because he was a brilliant motorcyclist maybe the bikes have changed so much.

None of them should be in it Jonsson is the only Swede i would consider, and if you look at W- Aces" RANKING'S he has Laguta alot higher than the so called official ones.You are right about one thing Laguta is a non entity when the WC is concerned a shame in my opinion.But we can still see that the GP series qualification procedure is still Flawed and if Lindback or Kildemand get a wildcard after last night being eliminated that certainly shows that.

He is certainly top ten at his best in my humble opinion not a FACT a word that you love and often get confused with. Why have you always got to be a clever Dick,? i have said he has been poor in Sweden this year.I have a friend who is Polish at work,who has seen him regular in Poland i have also seen regular streams i also have seen him once live in Sweden.So don't patronise me all i am saying is i believe he is a top 16 rider,i never ever said forget Poland have a look at about a month ago when Emil was taken from the back by Laguta not many riders at the moment even (Tai ) can do that why can you not be civil WItcher?

Forget Sweden in Poland Laguta has been pretty good in the Euros Emil knows that Laguta is one of a FEW who could beat him on merit on any given day.Are you seriously telling me Laguta is not a top 16 rider? lets be honest Sweden is down the bottom of the pile of his priorities. Top 10 easily in my book, if the tracks were decent proper racer tracks unlike Cardiff a novelty day out he would be ok he is on par with Magic, Doyley,Holder,Lindback,Jonsson,Johansson,Harris easily at this given time.

If i was having a bet last night i was confident Pawlicki Jnr would qualify, i like Shamek a great stylist his turn will come.Bomber what a big ask it was! against Shamek,Kildemand,Lindback,Madsen (all riders i felt had a sniff) .Also Chris has been active loads of meeting's guest appearances ( ect) in the last few weeks i am so chuffed for him .Vaculik is another rider not to forget, he has won a GP, and his form this year has been pretty good he had a blip why is he any different to Kildemand/ and certainly Lindback.?

Hardly big bucks don't believe that is the only reason he is riding the four Euro rounds.Also they have Nicki in it why is he not the spearhead? without Emil in it the quality in the Euros is pretty decent anyway.

Does anyone know the real reason why Emil /Laguta have been reluctant to go in the series.?I have heard that the Russian federation are reluctant to pay any of the expences ie) for the WC/ international meetings.Therefore putting them seriously out of pocket,for the life of me why would they refuse is it lack of ambition?.Who knows the series for me would be enhanced with both of them in it all of the BEST riders of the era in it.

Yes of course Iris, i do me best anyway yes really pleased for Harris tonight it showed there is still a place for the UNDERDOG.Tonight really was a tough ask for him,and he raised his game, i first see him with Zagar at Trelawny and every time since i have always enjoyed watching him ride.He must give inspiration to the other Brits, that determination,Guts,Passion,hard work and of course having talent can pay off.

Right so as a spectacle you are not that bothered if Emil is in it? i do and if Tai wins endless titles without him in it it takes alot of the prestige away from it for me.It is like Joe Frazier winning a title when Ali had his three year absence because of the Vietnam. Both failed tonight end of,ok some of us do not rate Laguta i respect that but if he reached a semi or Final he would always be a danger.Emil for me is the best rider in the world and it is a travesty that he is not in the series.

Two of those you like both FAILED tonight bigtime? and i am a PK fan have watched and supported him since he joined Swindon he bombed out last years with falls tonight he failed yet he is rewarded.Emil/Laguta are certainly in the top 16 riders in the world even the ranking's say so and the biggest shame of it is Tai will win titles fair play to him but he has not beaten Emil has he not over a true series.

In Sweden maybe but on ranking's he is certainly a top 16 rider in Poland he still is pretty good you are going on Swedish form surely?

I think you are spot on Eric, if Emil/Laguta were available for me Kildemand/Lindback would miss out i still think the latter two do not deserve a place.

If a rider touches the tapes he gets punished,if he makes a great start( maybe he guesses? or he just has great reflexes) he gets pulled back.The rule the referee in charge cannot have it both ways, this year it seems to me the referees are more interested in catching the riders out than whacking the tapes up and away with the action.Most riders who have rolled or anticipated the start over the years often penalise themselves which evens itself out if you don't touch the tapes you have done nothing wrong in my book.
