  1. Ive always rated Iversen and am so pleased he has shown his true class and ability for Kings Lynn.As for the wildcard i think it isnt far short of a disgrace him not getting the nod.Is there alot of politics involved with the Denmark federation? and lets not forget as well as Nicki has done he has been given plenty of chances when he has struggled so they shouldnt throw that at Niels well he has had his chance.I think Jensen should have to be a bit more consistent over a period to have at this moment in time get that chance in front Niels.Saying that it is great that Jensen and maybe Kildemand will taste a bit of the gp exsperience i am just sorry it is at Niels exspence.Does something smell fishy with this decision? I feel sorry also for the Lynn fans i would think all would be proud of the way Niels has rode for them.
  2. Great shout Shocker most i would agree with i left Huxley and Duggan out purely because time wasnt kind to them.Would have PCrump higher than no 10 also Boulger and Airey would be in my top 10.And Arne Pander would be in my top 10 danes.
  3. Agree with you and TWK Khlynovski was a top class rider also i feel Trofimov was very decent. He beat Michanek in 1975 and ruined his title chances(Anders scored 13 pts) also the Gordeev brothers i see in touring teams were very good. Sorry Cockney Ole in front of Hans ? very close though also Gundersen generally had Nielsen,s number.
  4. Good call BOBBATH i wasnt a fan of Ross but was top class for Wimbledon though. Really interesting as people will all have different views Cockney, Australia. 1.JCrump 2.Sanders 3. J Young 4.P.Crump 5.Ward/Holder who both might yet aclipse some of those named. Denmark .1.Olsen 2.Gundersen 3.Nielsen 4.Pedersen 5.Knudsen the Russians i wouldnt like to say Plechanov i never did see ride but would say he is the no 1.Poland 1.Gollob 2.Plech(AT HIS BEST a close 2nd 3.Jancarz very classy.
  5. Was going through my books and programmes,and out of the four nations i picked England,New Zealand,Sweden,Usa are these the top five in some peoples opinion?England 1.Craven 2.Lee 3.Collins 4.Farndon 5.Parker New Zealand. 1.Briggs 2.Moore 3.Mauger 4.Shirra 5.Ross Sweden 1.Fundin 2.Michanek 3.Rickardsson 4.Knutsson 5.T.Jansson Usa 1.Penhall 2.Hancock 3.Milne 4.Autrey 5.Ermolenko.
  6. Sorry i knew he was out for a while must of been a bad knee injury thats why i thought it was in Australia.Hope he does well because i think he has ability.
  7. Ksiezak was he once connected to Poole ? when he was young and on the up but then got a very bad injury later on maybe in Australia.? A decent gater i think he will do ok,really you cant afford to carry Holder,Gino, and Cockle but in two of those cases they are only pl reserves so its not there fault Glanz has done ok at reserve again he is not yet a top 5 rider.
  8. Thanks Steve wasnt far out, Mike Hiftle did he also start with the Belle vue colts?Shows to beat that Belle Vue side was some achievement .
  9. Chunky Belle vue was there lineup, Mauger Sjosten Pusey Roper Hemus Eyre Broadbelt? probably way off the mark maybe the year is wrong not sure about Roper?
  10. Hyde rd was special,i think every time apart from once it Piddled with rain the 1983 BLRC was like a swamp.Odviously Rebel West Ham means alot to you and you still have your memories.
  11. Rebel i have pictures was West Ham really big? they used to have alot of British Finals and other big events there too didnt they. Also Old Meadowbank looked a massive track too i am sure they had a world final anglo inter continental final a superb line up i think 1971? Briggo maybe was only reserve? the only time since the 50s that he hadnt qualfied not gospel thou.
  12. Yes i have done that in my youth Keef which was a long time ago my dad always wondered how i came home with loads of programmes.(with the money i saved).Funny thing is loads of blokes i knew used to get in by the greyhound traps on the dear side great days my week was lived looking towards every saturday sad really.
  13. Thanks Iris you know more about the Denmark scene than i ,Bach i remember i got a dvd of the Berwick(v Newcastle pl match Bach impressed me.I think Kildemand could be better than Jensen, i am not convinced with him Jensen quick but a bit hit and miss ..Can he come from the back against top opposition in my opinion no .Kildemand has got alot to do but i think at his best he is more versatile than Jensen.
  14. Frank Varey, Dent Oliver two speedway legends.
  15. Do you think Kildemand and Jensen can force there way in? i like Bach alot i dont know alot about him but he has impresssed me he is a way behind the other two but looks very promising.
  16. Wimbledon you are joking?,na when you pulled up the stadium and outside looked class.A great venue mind you i always thought the place looked dark when the racing was on.Only see about 10 meetings there always enjoyed it enjoyed it when Scott Autrey won the Spring Classic there was it 79?
  17. We know none of the facts , how can anyone have a opinion? move on and talk about speedway..
  18. Keef how dare you, you could eat your dinner off the floor in those loos.Same loos were there in 1968
  19. I would say Mauger 1969 till 78? would of been hard to keep out of the three everyyear its hard to pick the years but i think he would of won more than 6 titles over his career .Olsen for me only won 3 titles but in a way is very underated a truelly outstanding rider and i laugh when some say he couldnt pass wind only a starter. After PC olsen was as good as most at coming from the back. From 1969 till 79 i think Simmons and Autrey would of had a big say Autrey could of been argued at his best would of been better in a gp series format.
  20. My all time favourite tracks would be Hyde rd, Swindon, The Shay, Sheffield, and Exeter.Wondered what others FEEL also King,s lynn would be right up there a great track. From today i havent been, but want to go to Redcar, and Scunny both look good exciting tracks.Newcastle i havent been since1983 would love to have a weekend there as the track now looks in great shape.Going through yesteryear didnt we have a massive variation in sizes of tracks different challenges for a rider often a rider might only visit a away track once a year.Having this variation must of been hard for riders to choose the right gearing,s (ect)
  21. PC should of been a two time world champion, deserved it i still believe if the referee had made the right exclusions Lee could of won it in 77 at his young age.
  22. Great rider nothing more to be said, never ever forgotten.
  23. How has Nickki Glanz done? i think he has done well and he will improve. He has scored really good points but often not doing well in heat 2 sorts that out will be fine.
  24. You are right Chunky my memory playing tricks getting old both rode for Hackney..I was surprised when looking about Stan Stevens how many clubs did that guy ride? for loads.Rode 1 match for the dons in 1972 in a long career.
  25. I wondered if the unlucky Graham Miles rode a few times? or maybe Canterbury,s Graeme Smith?
