  1. I have been a fan of Josh since he started, how has he done?I have seen him twice at Swindon and on tv he has really improved I think can pass inside and outside and will get better gating not his strength reminds me of Sean the prawn.How would you Scunny fans ? rate his season so far could he have chance in the PLRC?;
  2. I saw Sigvart Pedersen for Reading?
  3. No in a nutshell, to prosper you need all age groups they are all as valuable.
  4. Kelly and Shawn Moran, J Cook Mcconnell, Lee, Carter ,Loram, B Thomas (and 70s) Ermolenko.
  5. I see your point but has the meeting been shared around? No If the semis had been at different venues some riders had got a bit confidence maybe took it too the next round who knows.?This year I know the weather has been diabolical, but seeded through to the final a joke I think and the final at Wolves well that is a joke.People like Ashworth, Auty, are decent riders put NIcholls and Woffinden at different venues there class prob would be enough but at different venues there would be more shocks. If a British final was at Owlerton would Ashworth and Auty have chances.? Yes more so where is the British final next year? Please not Wolves or Coventry.
  6. He would of won none in my opinion,up to 1974' the level was immense Briggo,Ivan, MIrac(ect). From 1975 through the PC Lee Jessup,Simmo,Carter years it was a world class meeting. As you said macca you can only beat what is in front of you in the era you are in.
  7. I would trust MIddlos opinion over yours any day of the week! even thou I am a Stead fan.
  8. No disrespect the ELRC was a pretty average line up, if the British semis and FInals had been regularly shared around do you honestly think he would of won 7 titles.? No getting away from it thou what a terrific achievement for Scott and fair play to him.
  9. I'm not so sure Gavan a different ball game, also if it was just the best of 5 rides maybe that could of made a difference as well.I certainly wouldn't of seen him win 7 British titles over the years ,also on other tracks Barker and certainly Kennett are not definitely the next best. But what a great achievement by Scott well done to him even thou Scott had a bad season for the Robins I've always liked him at his best a excellent rider.
  10. Horses for courses ,Scott was a deserved winner on the night but just say if we had had it at Swindon,Sheffield,Somerset, Berwick,or Scunny.? .Would there have been a different winner?I think so myself.I would like to see the meeting changed more often then it would show the riders skills on different sorts of tracks.Coventry and Wolves have had rather a lot of meetings over the years saying that Wolves is ok and have enjoyed going there over the years.
  11. I thought all the Poles were teetotal ORLOV!!! they like a few shandies then Jacques politely said they were pissed did make me laugh.
  12. I agree thought Sheffield should of had it, Cook very impressive Roynon competetive Auty a awful start probably started overriding a bit but he will learn from the experience no doubt.
  13. Why don't you shut the .... up !, beginning to p...s me right off I do remember him beating your latest obsession early in the season.
  14. Age is irrelevant in a way, Tai has crammed a lot in in a short amount of time,as JTW pointed out there is a lot of negativity with our British lads. Also do are lads get as much help(financially)and encouragement as say Denmark ie) the likes of Jensen? I dont think so.Tai has done it the hard way Conference then the PL ,not had everything on a plate and hard work and talent has got him to where he is today.I Think when he gets in the series he is good enough to stay in it he is that talented I wasn't always sure of that but his experience of his stint before in the series will hold him in good stead.Good luck to all the riders, I will be hoping Steady can get his gating shoes on as he has been riding well and Roynon and Auty put on a show.
  15. Totally agree Scooby, a great track used to have qualifying Rnds and semi finals and some big meetings there years ago would be great. I would love to go back haven't been since the great Moran bros and Sean the prawn days.
  16. I wondered if people are looking forward to Monday's meeting? I am for the first time in a number of years will it be the new guard or the old guard to prevail.! I would love Auty,Cook,Roynon, Ashworth to show there worth but I have no bias on the winner Tai is favourite but for me if Chris turns up with decent equipment he would be my pick Harris to win Roynon (to reach at least semi). What are people's views? Spare a thought for RIchie Worrall a great season very unlucky good luck to him on comeback and Steve Richie,s time will come.
  17. A total joke same old faces, I respect MIddlo as a rider, manager, and person big time but it might not be totally down to him? But Bridger and Barker in front of Auty and Roynon? Not right even Kennett who I like dosent deserve to ride Auty, Roynon and Cook should all be included a bit like our football side same old same old.
  18. Bacca would know that as he probably was there ? I thought the 76/77? team didn't have 3 ten point riders ,both the Owen brothers were but riders like Henderson,B.Havelock, and Blackadder were averaging 8 plus as good back up men.?
  19. Well Bacca not to worry I totally forgot Joe had gone full time British league.I always remember in 1979 I think, the robins v Hull drawing 39.39 all Sigalos getting a 15 max (from reserve).I remember i was gutted as I was a big Joe fan ,and he didn't arrive he was a very good rider no doubt about it remember his black leathers with the White stars over the years Newcastle have had some great riders a awesome history.
  20. Who was it bacca ? Joe near 11 ,Tom 10 plus , was Henderson 8 plus? Later on did Hunter average10 plus and Bargh and Thorpe were big hitters.
  21. Hopefully Jason can ride and stay in the hunt, I hope so it also shows how tough Terry Betts was to ride in the 1974/w/final at Gothenburg in his one and only final.
  22. Always thought then Iris the no 1 in the averages always got in? not the top 16 averages? Sometimes Tom Owen would average 10 plus but Joe would mostly be no 1.
