Entire season? averaged under 7.60 in the EL and did not qualify through the qualifier on the pressure night why should he get a card why have a qualifier.?
-
I agree, with the competition fierce for spots MJJ has not done enough to get a place. He has had all the help and more opportunities than most and got 0 in the pressure meeting. His time will come as he has amazing ability but i think he will come in with the likes of Dudek,Janowski, when the older statesmen drop out.

Scunny should take a lot of credit with MPT started slowly this year but stuck with him always believed in him.A example to other clubs change for change sake often backfires.Glasgow have done this with Campton and he looks a prospect and O'Malley could come back and still make it over here.DId Josh tonight make any decent starts or did he have to come from the back.?

What comes around comes around,! Pedersen was unlucky tonight but his reputation went against him.Holder was a deserved winner but fair play Pedersen was a gracious loser and i admire him for that.He never undeservedly won a fourth world title great news in my book. -
Chris Holder World Champion
stratton replied to T.N.T.'s topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Well done Chris, come to the abbey on monday as the new world CHAMPION well deserved enjoy the moment and you can win more. -
I am open minded i like Hans and if he is back it would be great the four i named i think can improve. Doyley will find that hardest but he is capable and for me is Swindon's rider of the year. Some tough decisions but there does not need to be a merry go round of changes.
-
Whatever happens against Poole, planning for next season should be quite simple.I don't think there needs to be many changes Batch,Doyley,PK,Nick i would retain then whoever is available consider. If Zagar was available a big yes but i don't think now he is in the series he will be.Other riders if available?i would like Harris/Schlein(both unlikely to be available) therefore not too many changes which i am all for.
-
Not at the age of 17 Philip! wIll he be aged 21 then? cant wait too see him in the series though.
-
Agree with everything, would be brilliant for the sport if Chris wins it and for himself.I think he will do it Pedersen is a world class rider but I've never been a fan.More really because of the way he goes about things his manor and I will be rooting for Holder. If Pedersen wins it credit where it is due but I couldn't rate him anywhere near the likes of Briggs, Olsen,Nielsen.
-
Was gutted Batchelor didn't qualify had it in his grasp i think he would of been a great addition to the series. Was chuffed Iversen qualified that was justice as he has been outstanding this year and the Danish federation has treated him shabbily this year in my opinion.!I think Troy can take heart of what NIels has done this year and he can come again he has the talent to do it.What happens now with Jensen? does he get a pick does he deserve one close call i think.

Lee in a way his body and shape made him the rider he was he was agile so quick on a bike. The biggest thing for me was his dad as a partnership they were terrific.MIke as we know has great knowledge of engines but looking back his dad Andy was way ahead of his time and where there set up was close knit they often changed things because of his dads vast skill and knowledge.
-
A great GP career and what a great example for youngsters starting out in speedway one of my all time favourites. It must run in the family because his dad and Streety were great people and riders too and have enjoyed watching all of them.I shall remember his battles with Leigh the most great races between them and total trust in each other (No taking each other out ? giving plenty of room)I hope he enjoys the rest of his racing career and good luck to him in whatever he chooses to do after his racing days are over.
-
Iris you will know more about this than me but having looked back Sissis was in front of Ward in his career.?I see him beat him on you tube a few times and he certainly looked the business. Such a shame but got a excellent works contract and has paved out a excellent career for himself and must be just a good all-round motorcyclist.
-
Steve thought Lee was doing quick times as a 14 year though in intervals and training tracks reached the NLRC as a 16 year old scored 10 pts.Dugard and world champ Havvy had great careers also.
-
Lee was beating Mauger Olsen, Collins (ect)in a top class BL this kid you have mentioned has a bright future. But over the years there has been numerous young uns that never made it too top class.Willmott Garrad just a couple of examples.Ward is the Nearest i have seen come close to Lee in my opinion.

Carter Where Does He Rate With The Great British Riders?
stratton replied to stratton's topic in Years Gone By
Agree at the time didn'nt realise how good Carter was i was a Lee fan but Carter was top notch.!He was world class and if fit would be a threat throughout the 80,s and Nielsen and Gundersen would Not of won 7 world titles between them! -
Never happen again see a 16 year old come on the scene and test and beat the best.I first see Mike in the silver Plume aged 17 scored 10 pts that was when we had a mega tough B.L.All in all a great career we here about the lows i really enjoyed watching him and at his best took some beating.
-
I think in 1975? Boston went to the great Hyde Rd, against the mighty aces and got walloped maybe 57.21.?Mike was top scorer on 6 pts was in the mix on his first ever visit aged 16.Mind you he might of had a few training spins there? i am not quite sure.

Gavan' no need, Phil,Jason, and Leigh i am big fans of all of them.Chris could be a great World Champion! along way to go yet thou.
