  1. Ive never bet on bet victor before, had a tenner on cook heat 11 at 21/20.A tenner on Dyer heat heat 2 4/5 i may also do Auty to score over 10.
  2. Value wise those head to head matches are poor, last year i did Ward to score 13 or more once he was on 12 and then had a ef.The price i think was 4/6 so in a way longterm you would lose just for the fact that you have to put more down.I do like those match ups though, this year i Had 6 winners at the Cheltenham festival had Ted Veale 10s and Back in focus 9/2 included.Added up all my liabilities ante post ect) and was still 30 quid down it is hard to make money you have to be disciplined. If i had a bet on the tv meeting tonight i would back Cook to beat Auty heat 1( hope Auty wins) Dyer to win heat 2 Auty( with no falls?)to out score Howarth.
  3. You are right 'Orion' if everyone did that it would be good this is how good i am at betting. For me if i can hold my own i am happy about 3 years ago i put 250 in my bet fair account now i have about 160 my aim was to have some fun and not get down to zero.I have had millions of reversals but if you expect to lose and can afford to it does not matter that much.I can't stand people who never tell us about there losers only there winners god i have had plenty of losers over the years.
  4. Be great if everyone put there selections on before the events so we can see how we do? this year i have had a couple of close calls in the GPS.Ended up down at the moment but have done ok in the individual rider match ups in the league saying that mostly at short odds.I thought Mick used to always put his selections up if my memory is right did ok in the main.
  5. First time i went to Halifax to see the budgies i think Crumpie give Kenny a lesson. That didn't happen to often as he was mustard around the Shay what a great track.See Reading there a few times too Wellie rode) a great day out Halifax, Hyde rd, Exeter, and Sheffield were my favourite away tracks.
  6. Hope so ''Eric fingers crossed eh! i hope Tuesday is a great meeting the visitors are a good side could be close.
  7. Even with Irving this top 5 certainly away would still not be where they want to be at the moment. The great thing is all of the top 5 all have improvement in them and i think they will get in the playoffs.
  8. Strange why would you drop Douglas? surely Dyer is a example that it takes a while to settle.Maybe Bates it was too soon but Young is not as quick as him so would do no better.I believe the top 5 have not clicked as a unit yet if they had you maybe would not even mention the reserves as much.
  9. Everybody have there view, and i don't dislike either of them but i must say i did prefer the N.Z commentary. As for the heat 22 and the meeting the speedway spoke for itself so those comments didn't make it any better.
  10. What you said to a degree is right 'Oldace' the sport has sat back and is still in the dark ages.Have you a answer to get the younger fan going i haven't ! my older boy often went with me enjoyed it but now aged 21 has lost interest. That age group have so many other thing,s to do nowadays but the annoying thing is he still knows what is going on in the sport and is interested. Its that sort of punter the sport needs to get back how though i have no idea.
  11. Well done Chris Schramm great to see a underdog do well, pleased also that Ashley Birks, and Josh Auty qualified as well.
  12. He hasn't done too badly in business has he? without some of the oldies me included going speedway would be in deep trouble in Britain.
  13. An absolute nonsense i hate the GPS when a rider scrapes through on 7 pts then wins it when another has scored 14 pts is that fair?.Why has our sport got this obsession of levelling thing,s up the EL double points rule i detest to.
  14. It looks a great opportunity for Kyle Howarth to win it, he has been riding well with Garrity the biggest threat.
  15. Gollob really looks on it for me,i would love him to win a 2nd title he deserves to will be very tough though.I had took for granted how great he has been over a long period,Emil,Ward,Hampel are going to be there for the long haul.I thought Pedersen and Holder rode really hard for scant reward and Woffinden was tremendously quick.Zagar too was impressive i loved watching him when he was with the Robins and i hope he can build on this.
  16. I am I am scarred for life 'Oldace' now after your antics, please pick on the TWK.
  17. Was checking out some riders history, Uncle Len was one of them wondered if any of you had any more information about him.My uncle saw him ride for Exeter and said he was a very good rider a real racer exciting to watch.I never saw him ride of course but he is one of my speedway heroes a great servant and i loved my trips to the Wick Don't be late Friday at Eight! ?I know great and other terms can be mentioned but this bloke has lasted the test of time seems to have been around for ever. Also didn't he prepare the Wembley track in 81? a real speedway great for me.
  18. Eurosport are doing a great job, i have watched both of the GPS again races from them endless times now.I have alot of the GPS kept from the years on sky and endless DVDs but have rarely watched again.Even my son came in last night watched the Ward v Holder race a few times and said how good it was and the coverage and he has lost interest in speedway.I was a bit sceptical about Eurosport covering them i presumed they were just a low budget outfit but the speedway and also the coverage of snooker (over the year) has been excellent .Apart from live games and Gillette soccer and the speedway i rarely watch Sky now.
  19. Some great racing now Ward what a ride, commentary no comment!
  20. A good post and you could well be right about the reserves 'Lewis,i don't go to Scunny but follow them closely. My belief is you have a team who could all improve there averages. But i have this nagging feeling that you might always have to rely on Josh getting 11 plus most meeting,s which he is capable of but over a long season is a big ask.
  21. Had a bit on Gollob to win,and a bit each way on Puk.
  22. Totally agree the witches have a strong reserve pairing, Scunthorpe should stick to their's longterm it will pay off. Why should Toft and Birks ever now be in the reserve berth, with there ability they are both top 5 riders and if they were not they wouldn't be doing the job they are capable of.Its the top 5 who haven't clicked yet havent had anough heat wins they will though given time.
