Agree but generally riders at all levels should be paid more,ie) because of the sacrifice they give and i know of ex riders who were good but did not particularly enjoy racing but did it of a way to earn money.

In an article i have just read it said Michael Lee's co promoters licence has been withdrawn, and he could get a lifetime ban from the sport.If he does then maybe some on here will be happy.!

Over his career i did not ever see or believe that Mike Lee was a stroppy person far from it quite quiet what i can remember of him.He mostly did his thing and usually very well god knows how many maximums he got at Saddlebow.You are right they're we're a few incidents with EBDON ( who could push the patience of a saint) and Eglese( who destroyed his career).He did have major issues with non turn ups but there in the end he punished himself he did not hurt anyone else.

Thanks 'A ORLOV' i went with my best friend last night, he has moved away so this was his first visit to the Abbey since 1977.He commented what a great strip the track is and what a shame if it was banished for ever.So i hope maybe redevelopment could be in order he did have a couple of moans though about the toilets(the dreaded ones) and the price of a pint! Apart from that he really enjoyed it.

I am glad we had at least 8 great seasons from him,winner once placed twice and a fourth in 6 world final appearances.He made his choices but in my opinion the speedway authorities have alot to answer for they destroyed his speedway career.

Yes a great post and i hope Mike gets the help and support from his family and friends and he gets through this tough period.One of my all time sporting heroes great memories of his racing past and love listening to his views on speedway as it is in his blood.We have all made mistakes,has there ever been a human being who has not? i say give my him a bit of slack.As all of us could end up on are uppers at some stage in our lives and might need a helping hand.

One of the best posts ever! do i care about the GP series no not if it has a influence on the longterm future of league racing.I think now we are seeing the affect everything is geared towards the GP series why? totally screwed everything up in my opinion i will acknowledge that the series has took the sport forward but overall the sport is in a crisis Again.!.

What is your opinion 'A ORLOV on the new stadium?i am worried! i have heard various rumours and i am not convinced speedway is on the agenda?Once speedway is lost for a year or so that's it terminal also even if they're was a new track it would be nowhere near as big as the Abbey.The Abbey for me is unique a great shape an impartial racing strip not trying to scaremonger the vibes i have heard are not good you know more than me am i to negative.?

Agree mate and to be fair we are outnumbered, i respect everybody elses views though but it is so easy to be brutal i don't have the answers neither have any of us to be truthfull.I just hope the likes of Lambert and Ellis (ect) progress it will be hard though as for me with haven't a longterm vision in place.
