You are right SCB the old rule certainly was not perfect, and in my memory someone like Mauger came in in heat 8 usually as a tac picked his own gate and mopped up and i suppose you thought god that is not fair.But overall i did see alot of 42.36 39.39. 41.37 40.38 matches so although not perfect i did see some great meetings with the old rule.

Maybe you are right ,but the Kid was flying after heat 1 last night the Batch ef cost them bigtime but without that double points i don't think they would of landed a blow.They took they're luck used it for momentum and deserved to win but that rule had a mega say in the result.

I don't think so! i didn't hear many supporters complain then when the old rule was in place not like now.Its like Man Utd being 2.0 up cruising and saying oh well we will give the opposition a chance we will go down to 8 men? Sport is special can be brutal and unfair at times but you have to have a winner and a loser.I have over the years seen thrashing,s i see a really good Reading side get murdered 57.23 at Belle Vue 1983/84? but it was a good meeting some great racing.Why the obsession of trying to keep things close that is the romance for me of building a side at the start of the year and seeing it blossom later in the season.

To be fair ' yerropes' i believe our promotion are pretty good Rosco i believe knows what is going on.I think there has been a few times things have been slow to get into the press but overall our club is good.The thing that i have found is i know alot of people who like speedway but can't afford to do both speedway and support Swindon Town.

A delicate situation really,i am sure promoters do take note of people's opinions on here and when told about an issue.I do understand though that it is so easy for me to moan but it is not me taking a risk and putting my capital and livelihood at risk.I can remember going to a Swindon Robins fans meeting in the early 80s when Wally Mawdesley fronted everyone.I come out of that meeting feeling sorry for the bloke he took so much stick that night he must of thought what am i doing in this sport so i am not sure those sort of fans meetings are constructive.

Would have to agree, i would want to know what other people's opinions were to see it from every angle.But over the years and i mean years this sport has made some baffling decisions and now it is part of the norm will things change? i doubt it.
