Wow Zagar was worth the admission fee alone, Nicholls was awesome & good effort from the rest of the Aces .I just wish Cook could do it away. For the Lions Doyle was poor & I fully expect him to be a one season wonder in the GP's, Howarth rode exceptionally well & is showing great progress, Schlein was to use a great northern expression, 'bobbins'. Auty put on a good show & although not a massive points tally I liked the look of Wozniak who for a first time visiting Pole put on a decent show. I hope Walasek is ok after coming to grief with the air fence. Looked nasty.

Never mind champagne, why do riders drink Monster Energy? It tastes bloody awful. I tried it out of curiosity to see what a boost it would give me & it didn't make a jot of difference to my energy levels. I then tried Red Bull & had heartburn for 2 days. Now I see all the kids necking the stuff & they seem to be more lathargic than ever. A pint of snakebite would gee them up a notch.

You don't know how long the injured riders are going to be sidelined for so I guess you can't put off meetings until everyones fit again. The riders who aren't injured need to earn money on a regular basis & the fans wouldn't be happy if say a few weeks of home & away fixtures are cancelled because of missing riders. It's unusual for 4 to be missing but that's speedway & the show must go on.

Had an off tonight by the look of it, but he's someone I've seen put in many a good performance. I expect more good things from him this year.

Cook is an embarassment when he pulls off for a sulk when it's not going his way. He's a PL heat leader at best & won't last five minutes in Poland if he pulls off with a heavy bottom lip.. He really should take a look at the likes of Scotty & grow up. Nielsen was as I expected.. abysmal.. Zagar looked the business early on but tailed off. So so for the rest. Not a bad nights racing though & the track as always in tip top condition thanks to Doc & his crew. Special mentions for PK who just seems to have come back from mediocrity of the past few seasons & Lewis Blackbird who looks very handy indeed. Hopefully he will be a British kid who goes on to fulfill his potential. A good signing by the Wolves.

I would have Middlo booted out of the GB job just on the strength of his lack of British riders in his Poole teams. As for Darcy, he shouldn't be allowed in the country with his reputation off his bike & I know the Aussies wouldn't be welcoming a Brit over their with a comparable history. If the same story had been about a rider called something like Barker, Kennett, Bridger then Poole fans would be calling for a public flogging. As a great a rider as Darcy is I have no respect for him at all. BTW there is an interesting anagram of Darcy Ward Poole if you can be bothered to work it out.
