I didn't think reserves could ride in heat 15? I think a huge worry for King's Lynn will be what happens when NKI leaves & Troy is back

Bad when Tungate, Morris & Stefen have scored 2points between them 😕 It's still early season though. These 3 riders are all better than that -

I would be surprised if somebody rearranged their team for him as he seems to struggle abit in the PL compared to racing at reserve in the EL. That's why he still has such a low average

Great start to the season for Liam Carr riding for his PL team. Scored 7 and hearing he looked very fast

Poor night for Bates (2) & Garrity (started well but scored 5) against Leicester tonight at Sheffield 😕 -

I agree. I would feel more confident if King and Garrity weren't having so many bike problems. I think on paper Leicester have one of the strongest reserve pairings in the league. They have ex bees Ulamek & Auty who ride the track well. I don't think Leicester look as bad as people say due to reserves so going to predict a narrow home win. -
Predictions in the Speedway Star this week. Darcy Ward predicts a top 3 of Poole, Belle Vue & Coventry. He thinks Swindon may claim 4th place. The club officials predictions (including predicted points) 1. Poole 50 2. Belle Vue. 47 3. Swindon. 35 4. Coventry. 30 5. Wolves. 29 6. Lakeside. 26 7. King's Lynn 23 8. Leicester. 12 Think Leicester will do better than that

Belle Vue -v Wolves 25-03-16 Good Fiday
mdmc82 replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
They don't seem to have given much information at all do they. Nothing about refunds, conflicting information about if meetings are on and no word before the meeting that the track was bad. I hope they get it sorted soon as not good for the club or fans -

Shame that Wolves, Edinburgh & Cradley all kept fans in the know and yet Belle Vue couldn't. Fans could do with a bit of openness from the club. -

It seems strange that Wolves, Edinburgh & Cradley all say they have been told it's off. One club way get it wrong but all 3?? -
This is very sad news. I really feel for Plymouth and their fans. 😕 It's really sad to lose another team, esp suddenly.
-
Instead of playing the blame game, why doesn't whoever has the fans money (belle Vue I imagine) let them know how they can get a refund! Disgusting that there is still no statement on that
-
It was stated by Belle Vue that the meeting was a sell out, however articles state around 5000 were in attendance. I thought it was meant to hold a larger amount esp with world cup being staged there? How many can the stadium hold?

Chris Harris Testimonial ?
mdmc82 replied to greytiger's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Sunday March 20, 2016 CHRIS Harris has thanked everyone involved in his Testimonial event which proved a major success at Brandon on Sunday. Australian star Jason Doyle took the individual honours as he held off the challenge of three-times World Champion Nicki Pedersen in the A-Final, but all of the riders contributed to a thoroughly enjoyable day of racing. Pedersen, on a rare appearance in the UK, was well received by a bumper crowd and responded with a fully committed performance with several close battles along the way. Both he and Doyle finished on 12 points, Pedersen edging their first meeting in Heat 20, and they were joined in the Final by Rory Schlein and Scott Nicholls, the two former Coventry men both giving consistent displays. Doyle hit the front in the decider whilst Pedersen found himself at the back early on, and although he moved from fourth to second he was unable to catch the Swindon No.1 in time for the flag, whilst Schlein completed the rostrum places. Coventrys Krzysztof Kasprzak picked up an award for fastest race time as he won his first two heats, and his Polish compatriot Kacper Woryna gave another spirited performance as he gains track time at Brandon. Belle Vues Richie Worrall arguably deserved more than his seven points having been a major factor with his fast gating; whilst three of Kyle Howarths four points came in a shock Heat 2 win over Harris and Pedersen, and Edward Kennett also scored four but was involved in one of the races of the day with Pedersen in Heat 10. Harris himself had five points from his first two rides but eventually finished one point short of the mark required to reach the A-Final. He also took charge of the first race from the referees box with three attempts required to start it! and a well-run event was completed by 5pm with a total of 33 races having taken place including nine for the popular British Youth series riders. Harris said: I was really pleased with the turn-out, and I cant thank everyone enough for coming, and also the riders for giving up their time and putting on a great show. I was even surprised myself with how hard everyone was going, but at the end of the day theyre all racers, which is what I wanted. Im glad its over and I can concentrate on my racing now - its been stressful for me, but even more for (partner) Emma. Shes worked hard, so a big thanks to her and everyone on the committee, and all the sponsors and the fans. I wasnt expecting that size of crowd, it blew me away, so Im really thankful to them and hopefully they enjoyed it as much as I have. CHRIS HARRIS TESTIMONIAL, Coventry Nicki Pedersen 12, Jason Doyle 12, Rory Schlein 11, Scott Nicholls 10, Andreas Jonsson 10, Chris Harris 9, Craig Cook 8, Krzysztof Kasprzak 8, Sebastian Ulamek 7, Richie Worrall 7, Kacper Woryna 6, Jason Garrity 5, Max Fricke 5, Kyle Howarth 4, Edward Kennett 4, Kenneth Hansen 2. D FINAL: Hansen, Fricke, Kennett, Howarth (ret) C FINAL: Worrall, Woryna, Ulamek, Garrity (ns) B FINAL: Jonsson, Cook, Harris, Kasprzak (ret) A FINAL: Doyle, Pedersen, Schlein, Nicholls -
What would be the point in signing a number 9 otherwise? I guess it will become clearer once the season starts
-
A lot of talk at Brandon today about the SCB doing an investigation in to what happened and the track not being in use for 4 weeks whilst they start again relaying it. Big blow for Belle Vue if true.
-
They have declared Lambert as their 3rd reserve so they have to use him where available. Then I would imagine it would be a rider off the draft with same average or below if Lambert has a fixture clash.

Chris Harris Testimonial ?
mdmc82 replied to greytiger's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
I really enjoyed this meeting and it was great to see such a huge crowd. Had some good racing, humour and a good flow to the meeting. Rory looked like he had never been away. It was great to watch Pedersen as well. Lovely seeing him spend a long time signing autographs for fans on his way back from his track walk. -
Coventry V Poole Es Second Leg 18/03/2016
mdmc82 replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Poole are a stronger side than Leicester. Garrity also had bike problems after the practice and had to use Bates bike in heat 1.
