  1. Wednesday April 20, 2016 COVENTRY will be holding a collection for injured Polish youngster Kacper Woryna at Fridays home Elite League match against Poole. Woryna has been told he faces up to two months on the sidelines after his horrific crash at Kings Lynn last week which left him with severe hand lacerations. He is now out of hospital after a series of operations over the weekend and will be returning to Poland later in the week. But a series of text messages between the 19-year-old and the Buildbase Bees promotion has underlined exactly why he had already become such a popular figure at the club. He wrote: Could be better, really sore at the moment but things are moving forward. I fly back on Thursday morning from Luton. They said take out the stitches in two weeks and it might take a month to make a proper fist with this hand, so Im out for 6-8 weeks unfortunately. Im really sorry mate. I love you too here, best place to be and race! I wish Ill be that good to stay here my whole career. I love it so much I wish I dont have to fly back to Poland, but I have to. Coventry promoter Mick Horton said: Its been a delight to work with Kacper so far, and its so nice to see riders who have this sort of attitude and who really love the club they ride for. We want to do something to help Kacper whilst he is unable to race, and I would urge all Coventry fans to come along and support the collection for him on Friday.
  2. Until we make changes I can't see us winning many away meetings. Think this would have been an easy home win anyway for Poole but now it will be even bigger with RR.
  3. Great to see Jason Garrity selected as one of the British riders to ride in the GP qualifier at King's Lynn.
  4. Both reserves usually struggle at Poole. Bates is better at home. Can't see much of an increase in Sarjeants average
  5. Total team average will be even lower after the Poole meetings. The question will be who wants to ride here?
  6. Mostly elderly people are better off with pensions and help with bills than those of us that are working and have had a pay freeze.
  7. What from the article has made people think he wants to ride in the uk? He doesn't even have time or interest to ride in the British Final let alone return to British Speedway.
  8. Narrow away win if both teams ride like they have so far this season. It will be interesting to see how Josh, Wright & Tungate get on in their new positions. 42-48
  9. Should be an away win unless Swindon improve their recent form. Predict 42-48
  10. Where has it said they have to use a 6pt guest? How many teams rearrange a meeting due to one rider being missing? Will Poole be cancelling tomorrow then as Bees have a missing rider? Coventry went to Swindon a couple of weeks ago without either reserve and without their number 1. They will also be using RR on Friday so will have a rider missing. The 2 Poole meetings should be enough to have a drop in averages to make changes when the heatleader list no longer counts next month.
  11. He was discharged today. Hoping he has a speedy recovery. Horrible injury.
  12. Really. I haven't seen much of Swindon this year so just assumed based on Tungate's capability in the past.
  13. Tungate should score better at reserve. However I can't see Wright scoring against the top riders as a heatleader so that should leave them in the same boat as now.
  14. Wright is now Swindon's second highest average rider so will ride as a heat leader. Huge ask for the lad.
  15. Only a month in and already Kerr, Auty, Wright and Starke have improved their averages enough to move in to the top 5
  16. New green sheet averages show from 21st, Wright will move in to the top 5 and Tungate to reserve.
  17. Easy Poole win esp when we can only use RR for Woryna meaning mainly reserves. King is shocking at the moment & reserves poor at poole. Might help towards making room for a higher average rider in May as will have more points available after this. Predict 58-32
  18. Congratulations to Josh Bates on becoming British u21 champion again tonight 🐝🏆🇬🇧
  19. Looking at the line ups of both teams, a narrow away win for Wolves would be my prediction. However as last night showed, speedway is very unpredictable. Howarth could be a key rider if he has a good night at his old track. Prediction 44-46
  20. Not seen it said anywhere by him or anyone official. Only rumours by some fans so far. Wishful thinking maybe?
  21. OUCH that looks terrible. The poor lad 👎🏻
  22. I'm a bit confused about Rosco always going on about this being a young team so need time. I thought they were teenagers the way he spoke but Looking at the ages of this year's new riders, they are not much younger than last year's with most being in their late 20s. Doyle 30, Josh 26, Tungate 26, Sedgmen 24 Young to me is like Lambert(18), Woryna(19), Kurtz (19) Fricke (20) Garrity (22)
  23. Is Barker named as our extra rider to replace 2nd strings if missing? Might mean using him against Poole and then looking at team changes for Woryna/King once heat leader list is scrapped in May
