  1. Isn't Bates usually good at Lakeside? It's hard to predict how the bees will do at home as they have beat the teams that look stronger this year like Wolves and Poole but lost against Swindon. I don't think we will win many away this season
  2. Not really no. It would be the same if Cook, Nicholls or Harris had been unable to attend due to the BSPA's fault. Danny would have qualified easily today in that line up. Bates rides for Coventry but I wouldn't support him in an individual meeting.
  3. Shame the BSPA screwed up Danny King's draw for this Semi as he would have easily qualified. Hopefully he will get the wildcard
  4. Newman wants to take caution due to injury. Not sure about the other two
  5. I'm confused. Why would Garrity be replaced? He's scoring around his average or above most meetings. Scores so far this season: Home: 10, 7, 8, 5 Away: 8, 7, 7, 9, 9, 11, 14 Very impressive and that has been with him having bike problems as well.
  6. Because the BSPA had messed up his average and posted it as 4 on their green sheet. However they have now changed it
  7. Because one fast track rider has to stay at reserve at all times. Only one can moved in to the main team at a time. Ellis average is now lower than Newman's
  8. I agree. Why should Kennett get a wildcard? He wasn't even near qualifying. Depending on what happens in the other meeting, I would give it to Bates as he only just missed out due to the run off.
  9. Brady only has a 5pt average still on the new Green sheets so it's Brady & Ellis at reserve from Monday
  10. Good on Harris for remaining commited to British Speedway and showing respect for the British Final. Quite often when riders are interview they say how different the track is from practice anyway so often seems a waste of time
  11. Wouldn't it have made sense for those organising it to have put King in tonight's Semi and Harris in Sunday's as they knew King already had a GP qualifier meeting on the date they gave him and Harris has the GP tomorrow so is having to travel there tomorrow morning. Very poor planning. It would be very unfair on King if he didn't get a wildcard due to no fault of his own.
  12. Jason Garrity (2,2,3,3,1) and Chris Harris (2,3,3,1,1) both qualified for the British final tonight at Scunthorpe. Bates tied in 7th place with Richard Hall but lost the race off.
  13. Shame Storm lost. Hope that Carr is okay after his crash. There was some good racing tonight & overtaking. Kinsley was impressive for King's Lynn. The rider of the night for me though was Ryan Terry Daley. I think that was one of the best I have seen him. Some great passing from him tonight.
  14. Thursday May 12, 2016 COVENTRY Storm bid for a hat-trick of wins when they face Kings Lynn at Brandon on Friday in the Travel Plus National League (7.30pm). Victory for the City Gearboxes Storm could elevate them to second position in the league table following last weekends successes against Cradley and Stoke. The Storm are at full strength for the meeting, with Liam Carr showing no ill effects from the crash he suffered in Heat 15 last week against the Heathens. Carr was still able to ride in his Premier League meetings over the weekend for Berwick as scheduled, and he returns to the Storm team after Danny Ayres stood in successfully at Loomer Road. Second-strings Conor Dwyer and Ryan Terry-Daley will also be looking to keep their form going, with both set to post impressive advances on their average when new figures come into effect on Saturday a comment also applicable to fast-improving reserve Jamie Halder. Kings Lynn arrive with a team showing just one change from 2015 with Nathan Greaves, previously of Cradley and in fact a former Coventry mascot, signed over the winter to replace Jake Knight. The Young Stars have two impressive teenage talents in Josh Bailey and Ryan Kinsley, with the former having piled up 16+1 from reserve in the corresponding fixture at Brandon last August. He is now scoring heavily in the main body of the Lynn team. Dale Allitts side had made an encouraging start to the season before suffering a heavy home defeat to Birmingham on Wednesday, and the Storm will need to be aware of a possible backlash. Boss Laurence Rogers said: We had most of the lads together all day last Friday, and what was very noticeable was the amazing team spirit. Had we not lost through circumstances at home to Buxton we would have been sitting at the top of the table last weekend. But third spot after those wins is still a good start, and three more points on Friday will strengthen our position. Fridays meeting is also followed by a six-heat MDL second half between the Coventry Vikings and Kings Lynn Lightning, plus 125cc demo races. CITY GEARBOXES STORM (from): Liam Carr, Conor Dwyer, Dan Greenwood, Jamie Halder, Martin Knuckey, Ryan Terry-Daley,Callum Walker KINGS LYNN (from): Josh Bailey, Scott Campos, Layne Cupitt, Nathan Greaves, Shane Hazelden, Ryan Kinsley, Tom Stokes. Weather looking good for tonight 👍🏻
  15. Injured himself Danny King Not a great night 4 me last night. Aggravated my shoulder when I crashed, Physio for me 2day 😩. We got a lead to protect 2morrow 👊🏻 #witches
  16. I disagree. I think both have potential. However away from home Garrity should be stronger. Also on good equipment, Garrity is beating stronger riders e.g Doyle,Kylmakorpi,Buzz to name a few.
  17. Some good scores from Coventry riders with their PL clubs tonight Garrity. 3,3,3,1 = 10 Bates 2,3,3,2. = 10 Sarjeant 0,3,3,3 = 9 King. 2,1,1,1 = 5
  18. The difference is Tai doesn't even want to ride in the British Final, not just the Semi
  19. Some interesting changes for teams from 16th May (it's hard to take this season seriously) Belle Vue - Richie Worrall moves to reserve whilst His brother moves to a 2nd string. Coventry - Woryna moves to reserve and Bates moves in to the main team King's Lynn - no change Lakeside: No change Leicester - no change Poole - Pedersen moves to reserve and Ellis moves back to reserve whilst Newman finally moves in to the top 5 Swindon - surprisingly no change as apparently Tungate is only a 4 average still. Wolves- Bech moves to reserve! Whilst Lindgren becomes a heatleader & Howarth a 2nd string.
  20. Great response on Twitter. Plus Glasgow speedway, Leicester Lions & Scunthorpe speedway have signed & shared. Please keep signing & sharing with friends & family 👍🏻
  21. It will be interesting to see how they do once Tungate moves back into the top 5 on Monday. Good win tonight though
  22. It's going to take Belle Vue a very meetings to settle at home as they have no home advantage yet. They also haven't had many meetings yet
  23. Update (9th May averages) Most teams stay the same. King's Lynn replace Rory with Batchelor taking their team total to 40.38 Wolves have Howarth, JK & Bech as heatleaders, Lindgren & Thorssell as 2nd strings and Masters & Clegg at reserve.
