  1. Averages from 20th May BELLE VUE Heatleaders: Zagar, Nicholls, Cook 2nd strings: Fricke, S Worrall Reserves: R Worrall, Jacobs COVENTRY Heatleaders: Kaspazak, Harris, King 2nd strings: Garrity, Bates Reserve: Woryna, Sarjeant KING'S LYNN Heatleaders: Iversen, Batchelor, Lambert 2nd strings: Mads, Wilkinson Reserves: Jacobsen, Rose (However, Wilkinson stays at reserve until Jacobsen returns from injury) LAKESIDE Heatleaders: AJ, Lawson, Nilsson 2nd strings: Swiderski, Bridger Reserves: Kerr, Mear LEICESTER Heatleaders: Watt, Hougaard, Summers 2nd strings: Wozniak, Auty Reserves: Klindt, Starke POOLE PIRATES Heatleaders: Andersen, Newman, Buczkowski 2nd strings: Holder, Bjarne Reserves: Kurtz, Ellis SWINDON Heatleaders: Doyle, Tungate, Grajczonek 2nd strings: Morris, Wright Reserves: Sedgmen, Nielsen WOLVERHAMPTON Heatleaders: Lindgren, JK, Thorssell 2nd strings: Masters, Howarth Reserves: Bech, Clegg Interesting how Holder is leading world standings and flying in GP but yet slipping nearer to reserve for Poole. Could the rumours of average fixing be true? Can only see him staying at reserve for couple of weeks if does go down
  2. Prediction for tonight 54-36 Bridger and Piotr have been scoring well at home. Mear should score better as its never been one of Sarjeant's best tracks and Woryna has never seen it before.
  3. Wolves are one of the strongest teams in the league on current form whilst Leicester sadly are currently struggling. Prediction 38-52
  4. Lanham hasn't rode EL for a few years unlike Robson who rode in EL last year so don't think he counts as having an EL average. He's also below Bates in PL averages which the rules include. Leigh also won't be at reserve but in the main team as Kacper drops to reserve.
  5. Great win for bees tonight. However Lakeside are a very strong side at home with a 100% win record there so I think they will get their revenge in the return leg (weather permitting)
  6. I agree. There were some really good passes and racing. Also a few ambitious passes that caught some out but all in all it was a good night. The meeting ran at a good pace and there was actually some up to date music
  7. Great to see Ellis is through. Does anybody know if Lambert is fit to take his place after crashing last night against Swindon?
  8. Congratulations to Ellis. Good to see a Brit through to the u21 final
  9. Thanks. We left after the last race. Sad to hear Harris isn't enjoying his speedway at the moment although it is kind of showing at the moment. Bomber isn't the type of rider to say things about fellow team mates and his problems haven't been with Coventry so imagine it's more to do with somebody on the BSPA or being let down by Rosco with his recent qualifier selection as those are the areas he has been feeling let down in.
  10. Not sure. I didn't here anything announced during meeting. Only think I read was the same as you about the BSPA and qualifiers. Have I missed something?
  11. Well done Coventry on a convincing win. Even with a bit of a off night for our top 2 compared to normal, we still won & pushed Hammers to use a TR. great to have no last places from our reserves, Sarjeant rode well without jumping and Roynon did much better than I expected. For Lakeside AJ is always good to watch & Lawson but I was shocked by how bad Mear, Piotr and Bridger were. I imagine they must be much better at home though for Lakeside to be where they are in the league.
  12. Very sunny at the moment and been dry since yesterday Hopefully Kacper can score well. However having Roynon in the main team might make it tough.
  13. 😂😂😂😂😉 That's because they wanted to give the other GP stars a change instead of Newman putting them to shame. Isn't that right Joe 😉
  14. Was rumours on the day that he pulled out due to the distance but nothing was confirmed.
  15. Oh that is a long way to go for him not to be there. I hope you enjoy tonight's meeting 👍🏻
  16. Sun and cloudy is the forecast for today in Coventry. No rain due until 11pm.
  17. Was the track really bad?Rob Lyon: "The track got progressively worse as the night went on and it was a disappointing end after a bright start." At the moment Swindon are relying a lot on reserve berth but once the rider returns to top 5 they struggle. Sad to see Wright now being replaced by a Aussie in every meeting. Wasn't the draft meant to be to help British riders?
  18. Thursday May 19, 2016 COVENTRY return to Elite League action on Friday with a visit from Lakeside led by former favourite Andreas Jonsson (7.30pm). Jonsson remains hugely popular at Brandon from his time with the Bees between 1998 and 2004, and the Swedish star has returned to British Speedway with the Hammers over the last couple of seasons. But the Buildbase Bees will hope he does not score too heavily in the first of two meetings in two nights between the clubs, with Coventry set to make the trip to Purfleet for the return fixture on Saturday. Bees currently lie six points behind the third-placed Hammers in the league table, albeit with one match in hand, so this weekends fixtures could well be significant in the chase for top-four positions. The visitors already have one big away win on the board this season from their early-April trip to Leicester, but have failed to take points away from visits to Kings Lynn, Wolverhampton, Poole and Swindon. Bees are forced into one change for both fixtures, with Josh Bates unavailable due to his participation in the World Under-21 semi-final in Pocking, Germany on Saturday. With regulations dictating that Bates must be replaced by either a rider from below him in the Elite Draft list, or any Premier League British rider with a lower average, squad rider Adam Roynon steps in on Friday night whilst on Saturday, experienced former Lakeside man Leigh Lanham will guest for Bates. The Hammers have been well-served this season by Richard Lawson, whose scoring has almost matched Jonsson so far, and he continues to keep ex-Bees rider Edward Kennett out of the Lakeside line-up and Polish rider Piotr Swiderski has also made a successful return to Purfleet in 2016. With a dramatic win over Wolverhampton in their last home outing, the Bees are looking to pick up some momentum after an inconsistent start to the season, with much speculation continuing as to what may happen in 2017 and beyond due to the current stadium issues. Promoter Mick Horton said: I was far more encouraged with the win over Wolves, and now we have to keep things going. Its always good to see AJ (Jonsson) back at Coventry and Im sure hell get a warm welcome but hopefully the likes of KK (Krzysztof Kasprzak) and Bomber (Chris Harris) will be able to handle him! I have been involved in a number of meetings lately and we are all working hard to try to secure the clubs future, and the message for supporters is to please remain behind us. We need to make it absolutely clear that there is a long-term need for this sport to continue, which Im committed to make happen if at all possible as John Clarke would say, please keep the faith! BUILDBASE BEES (from): Jason Garrity, Chris Harris, Krzysztof Kasprzak, Danny King, Adam Roynon, James Sarjeant, Kacper Woryna. LAKESIDE (from): Lewis Bridger, Andreas Jonsson, Lewis Kerr, Richard Lawson, Robert Mear, Kim Nilsson, Piotr Swiderski.
  19. Sorry, it's actually 31st March 😉 So I assume the list changes by new averages so this month it would look like this: Kyle Newman. 7.24 Adam Ellis 7.07 Kyle Howarth. 5.93 Josh Auty. 5.58 Charles Wright. 5.25 Paul Starke. 5.14 Steve Worrall. 4.85 Lewis Kerr. 4.41 Carl Wilkinson. 4.32 Josh bates. 4.11* James Sarjeant. 3.54* Robert Mear. 3.52 Steve Boxell. 3.00 Simon Lambert. 3.00 Stefen Nielsen 3.00 Ashley Morris. 3.00 Adam Roynon. 3.00 Lewis Rose. 3.00 Max Clegg. 3.00 Robert Branford. 3.00 Joe Jacobs 3.00 All the averages have been whilst riding in the reserve berth other than 5 riders Wright has been in main team for 4 meetings without dropping back to reserve which is impressive. Auty and Starke have both had 2 meetings at reserve due to Kilndt having a low assessed average. Ellis spent 2 meetings but now returns to reserve. Howarth has had 2 meetings in top 5 and remains there. Not anymore. I imagine Roynon will be our guest for tomorrow but not Sat as he's riding for PL then
  20. Isn't the last draft list on there only up until 31st April? Hasn't been any updated one added since
  21. Where is the updated list though? Doesn't it just go by their averages once they get one which is why Newman could have guests above him
  22. The Facts are Newman got his average riding as a reserve in easy races. He has yet to ride in the top 5 of the team. He also struggles in the PL (which is where the semi was held) so if we were going by averages then surely Kennett would be before him in the queue as higher EL/PL average and gained average in top 5. Newmans current average is 7.24 in EL and only 6.79 in PL so not the highest British average in either league. As for the comment about him being one of the favourites to win it, I'm sure that was just a wind up question to get a response as I'm sure not many would believe that. 😂
  23. Well those OAPs that are constantly moaning about having to pay the same as the rest of us (who have had pay freezes or those who have been made redundant) will save a lot of money after this year when there is no stadium to visit! If a pensioner went to Asda or Tesco to buy a product, would they expect the same thing for less just because of their age? If you love the sport you prioritise, like those of us on low wages. That said, I imagine it's just a selected few moaning about it as there still seem to be a good amount of older fans in the stands.
