  1. Hopefully the track will be better than in the u21s as seems very gate & go lately which isn't gonna help us as our riders like to race. With Robert Lambert riding as a 2nd string & mainly against our reserves & Sarj, I will expect him to clean up. He has been very impressive lately.
  2. Live Sky Sports Jun 22 K Lynn v Coventry Jun 27 Berwick v Workington Jun 29 Glasgow v Edinburgh July 4 Swindon v Coventry July 6 B Vue v Wolves July 11 Coventry v K Lynn
  3. Talk is that it was a problem with his polish club (similar to Wozniak) meant to have been sorted now though.
  4. My 10 would be Tai, Cook, Lambert, King, Harris, Nicholls, Garrity, S Worrall, Bates, Ellis
  5. Because Huckenbeck is declared as their number 8 which means he can only replace a member in the main team and ride at 1-5
  6. esday June 21, 2016 COVENTRY are back to Elite League business after a break of over a fortnight when they travel to Kings Lynn on Wednesday (7.30pm). Its the start of an important series of fixtures for the Buildbase Bees, as they go into a run of matches against sides not currently in the top three of the league table. Kings Lynn and Coventry are level on 16 points going into the meeting at the Adrian Flux Arena, although the Stars do have three matches in hand. Bees are still chasing their first away win of the season, but the Norfolk venue was the scene of their closest match on the road so far, as they went down narrowly 44-46 in April and collected a league point. That was the meeting which featured the heavy Heat 14 pile-up involving Kacper Woryna and Rory Schlein, but on a happier note Bees No.1 Krzysztof Kasprzak scored a faultless 15-point maximum. Bees will hope for more of the same from the Polish star along with skipper Chris Harris and newly-crowned British Champion Danny King, who could be in line for an extra ride on the night. That is because Jason Garrity is a major doubt for the meeting as he is still suffering problems with his arm following a second crash, this time at Leicester last Saturday, and it may well be that he has to sit out racing this week. Should the rider-replacement facility be in operation, that would also potentially give extra outings to Josh Bates who rode well at Kings Lynn on Saturday in the first round of the World Under-21 Final, scoring 12 points. The home side are effectively at full strength as squad rider Kai Huckenbeck has been their preferred choice throughout the season, and they have opted to track an in-form Simon Lambert at reserve in preference to Carl Wilkinson. Coventry manager Gary Havelock said: We do need to win away, and I guess Kings Lynn coming up gives us a chance we went close there last time, so thats a possibility. This season we have quite a few riders who tend to ride better on the bigger tracks, KK for one and his 15-point maximum there in April was a sensational performance. We certainly go into the meeting as always with the optimism that we can get something out of it. KINGS LYNN (from): Troy Batchelor, Kai Huckenbeck, Niels-Kristian Iversen, Mads Korneliussen, Robert Lambert, Simon Lambert, Lewis Rose. BUILDBASE BEES (from): Josh Bates, Jason Garrity (or R/R), Chris Harris, Krzyztof Kasprzak, Danny King, James Sarjeant, Kacper Woryna. ----- So will Rose be back at reserve then if Kai can't ride at reserve as a no 8?
  7. EXCLUSIVE: Legendary speedway racer Greg Hancock issues heartfelt message to save Coventry stadium http://coventryobserver.co.uk/news/exclusive-legendary-speedway-racer-greg-hancock-issues-heartfelt-message-save-coventry-stadium/
  8. Thanks Neil. Glad to hear That Jason is okay. Looking forward to the meeting.
  9. No team news yet. Does anybody know how Garrity is? He guested for Leicester on Sat but withdrew due to the injury from the British Final. For King's Lynn: Iversen, Batchelor & Mads are heatleaders, Lambert & Rose 2nd strings and then either Wilkinson/Simon & Kai/Jacobsen at reserve. For Coventry: Kaspazak,Harris & King are heatleaders, Garrity(if fit) & Sarjeant are 2nd strings and then Woryna & Bates are at reserve. Big ask for Sarjeant in the main team esp when he's been inconsistent at reserve & PL. good luck to him.
  10. Rosco doesn't have to pick this minute. Still has a couple of weeks to monitor the form of different riders.
  11. I didn't think he had been out on a bike on the track tonight. He usually likes a moan about most tracks so usually take his view with a pinch of salt 😉
  12. Jason Garrity has withdrawn from Leicester's meeting tonight. Was his first meeting back after his British Final crash 😕 Great guesting at Leicester from Harris who only dropped 1point all night (2,2*,2*,3)
  13. It's a big ask for Garrity to guest at number 5 for Leicester esp with it being his first meeting back after his crash.
  14. You do realise that Bates is also injured don't you and has been out with a dislocated shoulder for a few weeks. He returned to the track last week and fell again which has left him very sore.
  15. That would be because he started on a 5pt average whilst a lot of the others started much lower. After last night Howarth now has a 5.09 average which means Rose, Kerr and Starke will also be above him in next averages
  16. When Coventry made the semi & final in 2014, Howarth was brilliant and was one of the best riders in it. However last year at Swindon & Workington he seemed to go backwards. I hoped we would have him at reserve for Coventry this year but he really seems to be struggling against riders he really should be beating.
  17. That's good to hear. He's guesting for Belle Vue later today as well. Fans like us who have followed the bees & Harris for a long time know how frustrated he must be with his dip in form although that said he's been in good form for Coventry with his last home & away scores being 13.
  18. Congratulations to Belle Vue. Another great night for Fricke and a great score for Steve's first meeting in the main team. I'm surprised that Howarth is struggling so much at reserve. A bad night for both GP number 1s, only 4 from Zagar and 6 normal points from Lindgren.
  19. It started pouring down in Coventry about 10mins ago
  20. No rain since this morning and been warm, sunny with blue skies. Lovely night for speedway but I guess it depends how much damage was already done with rain from the last couple of days as it was torrential. That's the problem with early call offs although the bbc never had any rain forecast but some others did. Pity as it seems ages since our last meeting.
  21. Weather forecast has changed and is now looking more positive. Some have it as dry all day, some with some early morning rain. http://m.bbc.co.uk/weather/cv8
