  1. You actually seem to do better with guests looking at the Lakeside win 😉 Which was in place first, this or Poland?
  2. He had injured it abroad during the week. Brandon has always been one of his worst away tracks (scores on visits 2,0,2 and 1,3,1,0,0) however I was looking forward to seeing him. All riders can take his rides which means more rides for NKI, Rory & Troy who usually ride Brandon well 😕
  3. Howarth for Lambert and Rory for Mads at Brandon strengthens them whilst Barker for Garrity definitely weakens us 😖Yes we have won at King's Lynn this year but strong teams like Wolves & Belle Vue have lost to them and they got a point at wolves with a 6man team and that was without Rory so I don't see it being easy, esp without Bates now at reserve.
  4. Riding order for tomorrow COVENTRY: Krzysztof Kasprzak, Ben Barker, Danny King, Josh Bates, Chris Harris, Kacper Woryna, James Sarjeant. KINGS LYNN: Niels-Kristian Iversen, Kyle Howarth, Rory Schlein, Troy Batchelor, Robert Lambert, Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen, Lewis Rose.
  5. But isn't their missing draft rider Wilkinson, who has a 3.46 average which is lower than Howarth? Lambert is just that back up rider.
  6. Will Kaspazak and Hans be riding in this? Wasn't sure when the SEC practice is. I still can't believe Pedersen is at reserve. How did he drop to a 4pt average 🤔 Please can you change the date on the topic heading as its 15th we are at home
  7. He's almost got it right the last two years. Last year we had a great season and were very unlucky to be hit with injuries to Garrity & JK before play offs. However I'm not sure how he went from that team to this one! Yes the heatleader list caused problems as it meant we could have the 4 he wanted but his reserve picks were terrible.
  8. Yes they are the rules. However Howarth now has a lower average than Lambert http://www.speedwaygb.co/files/downloads/el16_issue_21.pdf
  9. What are the chances of somebody having that kind of money though? Does that mean no lease if nobody else buys it?
  10. Why are King's Lynn using Howarth as a guest for Lambert tomorrow night? What's wrong with Wilkinson who is declared as their main reserve?
  11. Well said. If we are talking about Chris Harris as a rider then I think he is a brilliant one. Forget the GPs as that's just one competition (that said, he made the final recently & a lot of other riders didn't even qualify for this year's GP) As a league rider he would always be first on my teamsheet. I have the pleasure of watching him race at Brandon and pull off some of the best last to first moves round the outside. He always gives 100% for my club but also for all those clubs he guests for. How many riders will guest at short notice and put in the same effort as if it's his own team. He's the highest averaged British rider in the EL He has been amazing in the world cups and rides with a passion for his country. All in all, he's a damn good rider 🐝🇬🇧👍🏻
  12. I would agree with that if I was team manager. TAI: as much as I don't really like him as a person, it would be madness not to have him in the team. He's a great rider. KING: would be the 2nd rider on the team sheet for me. He was the stand out rider on the Belle Vue track in the British Final, he's in good league form and he was brilliant in a tough line up at Cardiff last night. Proven he can mix it with strong riders. LAMBERT He has a lot of talent esp when it comes to racing from behind and he seems to ride the track well. It's hard to know what he will do when up against a strong line up but he copes okay in the league so I would give him the chance. For me the last place would be between Harris & Cook. HARRIS: I won't read to much into the British Final as he tried a new engine for that meeting and it didn't work for him. However for Coventry he has been racing very well in the EL and had a good meeting when he got the set up in Prague. He always rides well in the World Cup. My only concern would be if he can adapt to the Belle Vue track as not his best so far. Harris is also the highest averaged Brit in the EL. COOK: should benefit from home advantage but when you look at his home form it's been very up and down. He can be a good gater but as we saw in final he does sometimes stick to one line so not a out and out racer. I would see how they both do it practice on the day and decide then. For me Nicholls is struggling at his home track and is not in the best form. He's one of my fave riders but i don't think he should be in the team just because he is willing to ride for team GB this year, where was he the last couple of years when we needed him. That leaves between Bates & Ellis for reserve. Tbf I think both would struggle against the top riders so would just be there to make up numbers.
  13. Rules don't allow RR for Ellis. It has to be a guest from FTD. When is Newman due back?
  14. It's one thing coming out and racing against reserves & 2nd strings each week, it's another racing against rides like Hancock, Pedersen, Zmarzlik. It would be huge pressure. I think Lambert is the stronger rider at the moment & his meetings abroad also help. I completely agree 👍🏻
  15. Stevebrum, with your love for Woffy, were you one of the people who brought his British final trophies when he showed no respect for the meeting that most Brits would love to win and sold them on eBay?
  16. With the new averages starting from Monday, Bates moves in to the main team and Sarjeant joins Woryna at reserve. Going to miss Bates being able to take extra rides. Ben Barker slots in as a 2nd string. For King's Lynn, Rory returns from injury. Batchelor drops to a 2nd string position
  17. Nobody can doubt Tai's ability as a rider. He has a talent. However that's no excuse for his arrogance and ego. yes he is world champion but so was Hancock and he is still grounded. There's no need for the swearing and the lack of respect. Turning his back on the Country that helped him develop his skill didn't help either. They say you should always remember where you came from and how you behave when at the top, as you never know how long is will be before it ends. Speedway is a family sport but I don't think Woffy is currently a good role model. He needs to start growing up.
  18. It always has to be all about Tai. He is disrespectful & arrogant. Yes he's world champion which is a big achievement but so was Hancock and he's still grounded. Should never get so ahead of yourself when at the top, you never know how long you will be there
  19. On GP form no, on league form yes. Do we know that Cook or Nicholls would do any better in the GP. I really like Nicholls but he's not got to grips with the home track yet either. As much as I don't like Tai, he should be the first rider on the team sheet. After his display in the British final and again in a strong line up tonight, King has to be in the team. For me it would be Tai, King, Lambert Then either Harris or Cook. I think Bomber is better under the pressure & usually gives 100% when its for 🇬🇧
  20. Brilliant from King tonight to get 0,0,2,3,3. If only he had found the set up a race sooner then he could have been in the semi. Very proud of him and think after the British final and now tonight, he deserves a place in the SWC.
  21. Two good 2nd place for King who has been in the mix. 👍🏻 Harris, Lindgren & PK having shockers. Iversen struggling after I put a bet on him as well. 🙈
  22. No but he's not a new or strong signing. He's been listed in our team since the season started but has not been used or in form.
  23. Am I the only one who doesn't rate Barker? Would prefer a real signing
