  1. What have averages partly gained from last year got to do with anything. I'm on about scoring. You do realise a lot of other teams heatleaders have also gained some of their average as 2nd strings whilst ours have always been heatleaders. All 3 have been scoring well lately which is what keeps us in matches as terrible reserves. Recent Home meetings Against Poole: Our top 3 scored 30+5 Poole's top 3 scored 17+0 Against King's Lynn : our top 3 scored 29+3 Their's 16 Against Lakeside: our top 3: scored 27+5 Their's scored 23+3 If you look at all our home scores, other teams have rarely outscored ours. Away meetings Cov & Wolves both scored same Cov 23 & Swindon 24 Cov 30 & Leicester 17 Cov 22 & Lakeside 23 Cov 30 & King's Lynn 18 Cov 23 & Belle Vue 24 The only team to outscored our top 3 was Poole due to King scoring 2 & KK 4. It shows they have been able to beat or match most heatleader trio's home & away. However if you look at our reserve scores in meetings it's a sorry sight 🙈
  2. It's a knee injury He seems to have gone a bit backwards in form over the last couple of years. Although he has had a lot going on in his personal life that must make it hard. I think we will get beaten tomorrow as we, like Poole, are poor away. The track is also going to be dusty which means gating not racing. However I just hope everybody stays safe for our big meeting with Belle Vue on Friday.
  3. Bates is going to race through the pain barrier. Garrity is close to a early comeback but this meeting was too soon. I hope he's not going to come back before his ready though. We are missing him but need him fit.
  4. Says on bees website he's closing in on a comeback but tomorrow's meeting was too soon. He was meant to be back August so hope he's not coming back before ready.
  5. Thanks. Have noticed esp by his recent posts that he doesn't seem to know a lot. Most he makes out he knows personally and then you find the article where he really got it from word for words lol. He has his Poole tinted glasses on most of the time so. Waiting for us to tell us that Kurtz or Newman are better than Emil. 😂 I think Tai has had it made easier for him in the world championship the last couple of years as he's not come up against the best in Emil & Ward who I'm sure would have been up there. Even Hampel is missing who usually finished top 3.
  6. Shame we couldn't have used Clegg or Morris for Sarjeant. Not that it will matter too much against Newman & Bjarne.
  7. Are you serious or on the wind up 😂😂Emil is still one of the best riders there is and better than a lot of the current field.
  8. Wow who saw Wolves winning by 32 over Swindon. Their biggest home win of the season. Brilliant result for Wolves but what happened to the Robins. Another meeting with a huge difference at reserve, Swindon 4 & Wolves 20
  9. Not that I know of as he raced in heat 14 OK. If he is though that would make it Garrity, Sarjeant, Bates and him injured.
  10. Barker is in place for Garrity. Woryna should be back. It's Bates & Sarjeant that are doubts due to injury
  11. Newman confirms his return http://kylenewmanracing.co.uk/newman-set-to-face-coventry/
  12. This year is the opposite. We have one of the strongest top 3s but need strength at reserve where we are extremely poor. Woryna & Sarjeant seem to have gone backwards rather than improved
  13. Riders with lower or similar averages are: Sarjeant (Injured) Wilkinson Roynon Perry & Ritchings (riding for Brum) Mear Jacobs Morris Clegg Branford Greenwood Compton Morley Perks Ayres (riding for Kent) Maybe he's thinking of Branford incase you need a long term replacement for Stefan
  14. Very true. Bates also had some if not the fastest times of the night. He was flying in the main body. He was also very good at King's Lynn on our recent trip which is why he's a big miss at reserve. He's already done a lot better than I thought he would this year. Such a shame he keeps getting held back with injuries.
  15. They raced each other on neutral track in the U21 championship. Also Ellis has rode our track lots last year in EL & NL. My original point to Steve was that if Bates does have to miss Wed and we have to use riders down the draft like Clegg, Mear, Morris in the top 2 then that weakens us. That's a fact
  16. He has made changes in the past. However it's finding riders who want to come over. I'm sure if the top riders wanted to ride here then Poole wouldn't have signed Bjarne & Leicester would have made changes rather than signing Watt. Mads would be good if he fits for Woryna, depending on fixture clashes
  17. Starke is currently better than most of the fast track riders including Bates, Newman, Ellis and Howarth. The lads come on lots since joining Leicester. Exactly. Can Steve please remind me what Ellis has won this year. Isn't he riding NL? Yes he beat Bates in 1 race on Friday but other than that he only beat Roynon & Bellego all night. Hardly World Cup competition. While Bates beat Holder, Andersen, Kurtz & Pedersen. Both are good riders on their day & both can also have poor meetings.
  18. You have watched one meeting. Those of us who watch him for Coventry & Sheffield each week know he is also capable of passing. You must not have watched the u21 champs either. However on a gate & go track like Poole that wouldn't be a problem. When you look at replacement options for him, we would definitely miss him. As for the SWC I don't think it's going to matter which is at reserve as neither are ready. They will just be there to make up the numbers if needed.
  19. Woryna would have scored more than the 0 his replacement did. However we have points available for another heat leader if he was replaced, making King a 2nd string so surely that most fans would want the same if their club was in that position. Josh Bates injured his knee in his heat 14 fall on Friday. He pulled out of his guest booking for Leicester Sat and isn't riding in his Sheffield meeting today. He's also a big doubt for Wednesday's meeting. Huge blow for Coventry with the way he's been riding. No suitable replacement if needed. Sarjeant is also a doubt.
  20. They showed some ambition last year & the year before when we made the play offs & we're top of the table most of last year. Havvy didn't have a lot of say in this team as he had his own problems & spent most of the winter in hospital or recovering. Horton has put together a strong top 3, However the reserve pick was very wrong (although Bates has really stepped up lately) and the signing of Woryna never made sense. Horton does seem to have given up on this season by not making the needed change. I do really hope we are back next year & this isn't the way we whimper out.
  21. The averages of those EDR in EL teams are used instead of a list. Then the ones that were below him on the original list should be able to be used if available. Jacobs, Sarjeant, Clegg, Wilkinson, Morris, Mear & Roynon are all still 3pt average riders like Stefan. Then any riders from this list that don't have a EL average
  22. Sad to hear of Stefan's injuries 😞 Fingers crossed we hear more positive news and he's not out for the season
  23. King's Lynn have had some good results the last week but they have been against the other teams also near the bottom of the table. I personally don't think they are as strong against tougher teams. Yes you are 6pts off play offs but Poole have a meeting in hand I still think Swindon, Wolves, Poole & Belle Vue will finish in the top 4 although Lakeside have got tighter at home again.
