  1. The problem is that the Woryna we see in these Polish meetings is rarely the one that turns up for Coventry. Sometimes it's like watching a different rider. Kacper does seem to have improved abit for the bees over the last few meetings. It's not that fans have anything against Woryna and if he had been brought in as a reserve it would be fine. The problem is the management have brought him in as a 2nd string instead of using the 8 points we had spare. As for Fricke, I would gladly have him in the Coventry team anyday (might see it happen in the future) He's always been a great guest for us and is in the pits at most of Coventry's home meetings. Has a great attitude. Star in the making
  2. Haha I think you must have missed British final, World Cup and meetings at Brandon if you are calling King a gating tart. It's his gating that often let's us down. Tut tut. In the meetings I have seen Poole in at Brandon and the sky defeat against Belle Vue, I didn't see much racing from the 3 you named, just Gating. I know Ellis is capable as I watch him pass the Coventry Storm riders. Newman has been poor in the meetings I have watched him in so far this season which is why even with others having struggled he's still at reserve. Brady does try hard. Hardly think you have a team of flat out racers though but then on your track that's best. You need to make up your mind as you are calling yourself the underdogs but then selling your team as if they are all brilliant racers. 😉 Poole are the favourites with the bookies. However I think like Lakeside, their form might leave them vulnerable esp with inconsistency with a lot of the riders. Belle Vue are definitely the best team away from home.
  3. Hardly call him a racer because he caught up with Roynon who is a draft rider. He got 3rd not second as he was unable to pass Bates. 😂 http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/15837/coventry-poole-el-15-2016 Would hardly call Pedersen a racer. He's always been one of the most boring riders to watch. In the 2 meetings I've watched Poole in at Brandon this year, I would say you have more gaters than racers this year. Hans struggles to pass without riding dirty nowadays. It's only really Holder & at times Buzz who I would call real racers.
  4. BEES V SWINDON, PREVIEW Sunday August 07, 2016 COVENTRY will be back at full strength as they welcome play-off chasing Swindon to Brandon on Monday (7.30). The Buildbase Bees will be looking to make it two home wins in the space of four days and claim their first win over the Robins this season. They will welcome star No.1 Krzysztof Kasprzak back into their side after he missed the 52-41 loss at Leicester on Saturday. With Kasprzak back in the fold, the Brandon outfit will be keen to dent the Robins top four aspirations and claim three Elite League points. Man of the moment Jason Garrity, who roared to a remarkable 16+1 points at Leicester on Saturday, believes the pressure is off as they look to end a tough season with a flourish. Said Garrity: We want to get another win at home on Monday, and even though we arent going to make the play-offs we want to end the season strongly. We know what were capable of when were all on form and the pressure is off a little bit now, so well just enjoy it and hopefully that will pay off on the track. Supporters who attended Fridays hard-fought win over Leicester at Brandon are entitled to £10 admission for Mondays meeting upon production of their ticket. Kasprzak and Danny King will also be available for photos with their Speedway World Cup medals after the meeting. Kasprzak played a crucial role as Poland won gold at the National Speedway Stadium last weekend whilst King was one of Great Britains silver medal heroes in Manchester. Meanwhile, Swindon also include Australian World Cup stars Jason Doyle and Josh Grajczonek, whilst they have drafted in Tom Perry to guest for the injured Stefan Nielsen at reserve. BUILDBASE BEES (from): Josh Bates, Jason Garrity, Chris Harris, Krzysztof Kasprzak, Danny King, James Sarjeant, Kacper Woryna. SWINDON (from): Jason Doyle, Josh Grajczonek, Nick Morris, Tom Perry, Justin Sedgmen, Rohan Tungate, Charles Wright.
  5. Which bees fans? (Sigh) Yes we get you don't like him but surely even you must admit what a great season he's having. He has had a handful of poor meetings (one after a family funeral) but he's had lots of class meetings where he's been hard to beat. How many riders get a full max at king's Lynn against Iversen. http://www.kandysoft.com/averages/kk_gs.htm
  6. There was talk of deal being done of Shamak for Kaspazak but nothing happened in the end. Might be due to Shamak not wanting to ride over here. I guess it would make sense as each of them now seem happiest riding for the other club. Kaspazak has been great this season. Not missed any meeting due to suspicious back pains (and then rode elsewhere like in the past) He even came the same day as a family members funeral when he didn't have to. I would be more than happy to have him as our number 1 next year. It's been refreshing after the rubbish we had to witness at no 1 the previous two years 🙈 On another note, well done bees & lions fans who raised a total of £936.10 for the Speedway Riders' Benevolent Fund at Brandon. Here's a clip of heat 10 from last nights meeting http://www.coventrybees.co/news.php?extend.3685
  7. I think he means when we are home and away to Lakeside
  8. Congratulations to Leicester on the win. Klindt has been very impressive I would take a 11point loss without our number 1 and with his replacement scoring zero. To be honest I expected to lose by more esp when King also had a poor night and Sarj hating this track. The positive of the night was Garrity. Only 1 point dropped to an opposing rider all night. Brilliant to score 16 in the main body of the team, esp after coming back from being out a while with a broken arm. Great to have him back 👍🏻
  9. I thought this was a good meeting and the size and shape of the track left lots of room for passing and racing. I could watch Emil all day. He has such a natural talent on a bike
  10. Lakeside would have to agree for that to happen. It's a good job we aren't in the place off race as crazy having 3 meetings with no facility for your number 1
  11. As Wolves have more home meetings to come whilst Poole need points away and haven't been very good so far away from home.
  12. Ellis average is too high. Only allowed a 3pt rider at number 1 so can't get the good guests that won it for you 😉
  13. How terrible is the yellow gate. Race of the night so far is Emil V Pedersen. Pure class. Dirty racing from Hans
  14. I think and hope Belle Vue. Poole, Lakeside & Swindon still have to pick up more away points to secure their places. Lakeside race against Coventry home & away with no KK or facility for him so that's a good 7pts towards their play off push
  15. How was Horton meant to know? The EL fixture are usually in place just after Xmas whilst the qualifiers for the SEC don't even start until April. I can see why Leicester wouldn't want fixture moved. However can see it affecting the attendance and the excitement of the meeting. The rules however could be a big help for Lakeside as they are due to race us home & away with no KK or facility so will be 7pts towards their play off push which puts pressure on Swindon and Poole
  16. They mentioned on TV that Kaspazak missed SEC practice due to staying to ride for Coventry. It's great to see a lot of commitment to the bees and British speedway this year both on and off track.
  17. Nice to see positive comments about a track. Klindt tweeted happy with 12 pts, track was the best i've rode for a long time at coventry.
  18. The guest at no 1 for Kaspazak is Ashley Morris. And people wonder why speedway is a dying sport. Huge weakness for bees due to stupid rules.
  19. Rosco agrees with Iversen @doniversen Said it used to be a cool race track and now its not. Think fans and riders deserve better. @AJROSCO @doniversen agree mate 👍
  20. Lakeside will face Coventry home and away with the bees having no Kaspazak in either meeting and no facility which will be 7pts for Lakeside there. I think Belle Vue have a great chance of finishing top as Poole's away form is very poor so far this year. We are very average at Coventry this year and yet they have lost both their away meetings at Brandon.
  21. BUILDBASE BEES (from): Josh Bates, Jason Garrity, Chris Harris, Krzysztof Kasprzak, Danny King, James Sarjeant, Kacper Woryna. LEICESTER (from): Josh Auty, Patrick Hougaard r/r, Nicolai Klindt, Ludvig Lindgren, Lewis Rose, Aaron Summers, Szymon Wozniak. Why is Patrick missing?
  22. Don't think Lambert or NKI are. @doniversen Track at Swindon is not what it used to be. 🙈🙈 #hardwork @ruthlesslambert 6+2 tonight at Swindon track was hard though with many ruts
