  1. Josh Bates finished 3rd in the F.A.S.T Golden hammer meeting tonight behind Howarth & Worrall. http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/15969/golden-hammer-cradley-9-2016
  2. They weren't my words. If you look at it you will see its copied and pasted from Twitter so the time was there. Bates did ride in the NL for Birmingham last year. He has just progressed a lot this year.
  3. Congratulations to @Josh96bates on breaking the Monmore Green National League Track Record in Heat 1 - 54.69!! I assume it's because most are or have been NL riders in the last couple of years
  4. I could see a thread for this. Line up F.A.S.T GOLDEN HAMMER: Lee Dicken, Josh Bates, Ashley Morris, Adam Ellis, Kyle Howarth, Richard Andrews, Steve Worrall, Tom Perry, Dan Bewley, Ben Morley, Max Clegg, Matt Williamson, Luke Chessell, Adam Roynon, Lee Smart, Nathan Greaves. RESERVES: Bradley Andrews, Ben Basford. Stand out riders to me would be Bates, Worrall & Howarth but speedway is unpredictable. Hoping for a safe meeting for all the riders involved
  5. Not really as we are racing for fun now not play offs so no real pressure. I expected Swindon to get a narrow win. Was actually surprised how bad they were. Worst visiting team this season that's for sure. Wolves were one of the best on their first visit That was the first home meeting at the track so was early days before track was sorted
  6. Nowhere near 4pts at Cov. If they race like that at King's then they might come away with nothing again
  7. That says a lot about the rest of your team then 😂 He's been one of the worst riders I've seen at Brandon this year. Holder was by far your best
  8. Hans is on a 2 year deal so Poole are stuck with him again next year 😂😂
  9. JK was in talks with Coventry until the heatleader list was released (and King was on it) and then we wouldn't have him. Looking at his scores for you that might have been a good thing. His average must be dropping a lot though so would have him next year if no heatleader list. Sam Masters has been the success story for Wolves this year but like Swindon without Tungate, they struggle abit without them at reserve.
  10. He has had a brilliant comeback from being out since June with a broken arm. He got a full 15pt Max in his first PL meeting and then scored paid 17 at Leicester. Had problems with bikes last night but still won two races. Got to love a Garrity interview. Lad had such a love for the sport which is great to see. No it was done at 3 other British tracks plus a German track which is great. We get that you just don't like Bates. Those of us who don't support Poole can give him credit for being British U21 Champion twice, doing well in current World U21 series and on a brilliant display last night
  11. We were saying last night how when you look at how Morris was for us and Glasgow 5 years ago, he looked like he had a big future and talent. However he doesn't seem to have improved a huge amount in that time esp as the league line ups are weaker now. I think a move away from Rosco & Swindon might be what he needs. Might be missing PL
  12. Wow what a huge result for Belle Vue against a team previously unbeaten at home. Brilliant to see Nicholls score so well.
  13. I really enjoyed that meeting. It was like watching team GB V Australia all over again. 😉 The track didn't look as good as usual to begin with as it looked slick but still produced some good racing. It was good to see Harris & Wright both get up from being brought off. A good all round team performance. Shame we had to wait until now. It's great to finally have a full team. It was great having Garrity back. At times on track he was all over the place but his 3rd race was due to his seat bracket coming off. The big difference was having him back in the pits. Team look most confident I have seen them this season esp Sarjeant. It was the lower order that impressed me the most tonight. Much better from Woryna who has now adapted to the track. Sarjeant looked much more confident and was one of the only ones not to jump the start lol. As for Bates, what a heat 15!! Great to see him get heat 15 but then to win it over GP Doyle & Tungate was amazing. Question for Lisa & Steve, do you still think King & Bates can only gate 😉 I think those Poole fans who consistently compare Ellis to Bates, saying he's a gater who only beats other reserves, need to take off their blue tinted glasses. The lad has improved so much this year. He dropped only 1pt all night to a Swindon rider.
  14. Coventry were Top of the league for most of last season and winning easily home & away but come August we had injuries tand then lost Kylmakorpi and it all went downhill. Anything can happen as you know. However I think this is one of the closest we have had at the top with Belle Vue, Poole & Wolves all looking capable.
  15. Coventry are very hard to predict at home. We have beat teams that are tough on paper like Wolves, Poole & Belle Vue but then went and lost to a poor Kings Lynn team (no disrespect) Swindon have riders that all ride well at Brandon and Justin returning to a 2nd string position should see him scoring well again. Doyle is alway very strong at Coventry. Bates joins Sarj at reserve for Cov and Woryna returns to the main team. Predict 42-48 (hope I'm wrong)
  16. Former world No.2 Krzysztof Kasprzak makes his #SpeedwayGP comeback as #GorzowSGP wild card. http://www.speedwaygp.com/news/article/5112/kk-makes-sgp-return
  17. This meeting really could go either way as both teams are very unpredictable. Weather has been good. Sun with white clouds at the moment
  18. @SpeedwayLions & @OfficialCovBees fans thank you all so much for the SRBF donations which totalled £1,058.93 (Posted on Leicester's Twitter)
  19. Just Swindon really. We have beat Poole in both fixtures this year, beat Wolves, Belle Vue, Lakeside, Leicester. We lost to Kings Lynn but won at their place. Swindon always seem to be the team we struggle against. They have riders who ride Brandon well.
  20. The only small crowds we have had have only been for Sky meetings, often meaning we had 2 meetings in the same week. Most of the meetings there have been really good crowds, even with us having a weaker team.
  21. No @max_fricke @WolvesSpeedway tonight due to ongoing problems with a shoulder injury. BV will operate R/R at No.3 ♣️🐾 I'm confused. Fricke looked great riding in Poland yesterday and scored 11+2. Did he aggravate it again? http://m.sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/wydarzenie/60665
  22. Your right Lisa. He doesn't pass at all. Not a racer😂 http://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/speedway/10313086/highlights-british-final http://www.coventrybees.co/news.php?extend.3685
  23. 😂😂😂😂😂 I'm sure Brady, Newman and Buzz would have him shaking in his helmet, and now back in the real world. 😜 Klindt won the last heat 14 at Poole, so I'm sure Fricke would do it easily
