Lakeside V Coventry Friday 1/5/15
mdmc82 replied to kingbee's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Monday we were weakened by a guest. we didn't have Sarj who has at times been just as good as Garrity for us. Hopefully we can get something from this. After some of our recent wins we know they are more than capable. -

Agree about Lawson but stead had been in poor form. Howarth/Zengi at Brandon for Belle Vue Rory at Brandon for Poole Rory at Leicester -

Wolves were lucky though as they were up against a depleted Lakeside team with Doyle & Wright scoring badly and Lakeside strongest home rider, Lawson missing and still only took it too a last heat. No disrespect to them but I don't think they would have won otherwise. Freddie will score more than Doyle did. Lawson and Boxall make Lakeside stronger again. So far we seem to always ride against teams strengthened by guests. Hopefully we can do as well as we did last year at Lakeside and get a good guest for Sarj. -
King's Lynn V Coventry 29th April

Should we be concerned that the preview is released the night before the meeting but still no guest named? Sounds like they may be finding it difficult to find somebody. -

Sheffield are riding Friday. Other guest options include Stefen Nielsen or Ben Morley -
@poolespeedway: Poole will be without @MaciejJanowski1 for next two matches after revealed he has 2 broken bones in his knee! Richard Lawson covers Weds

Rory & king already riding for their clubs tomorrow. Do feel though that Belle Vue have missed a good chance to strengthen for this meeting. -

Freddie Lindgren is guesting for AJ and was very strong there last week. Lakeside were depleted when they lost to Wolves last week with no Lawson, AJ or Boxall. Bees will need a guest for James Sarjeant 😞 Boxall should be back for this. -
I predict a home win by 10. Wolves may surprise me and get something at Swindon but not convinced. They struggled away to Coventry. Their away win to Lakeside was helped a lot by lakeside's heat leaders and reserve being missing. I think if Swindon ride like they are capable of then Wolves may struggle. I really like the look of this Swindon team. Any idea who is guesting in place of Josh Bates?

Not sure I would call losing by 7 points a crushing lol. Not sure how people can say Cov weren't weakened at reserve. Sarjeant would have scored more than 1 on a bad night esp with Blackbird struggling in the reserve races. I am more than happy with what the Bees have achieved so far this season. With most teams looking good at home, I think away points are going to play a even bigger part this year so great to already have 13 of them after only 4 meetings 😄

A guest will be needed for Bates as he is riding for PL

@SkidMark73: the BV management had already booked Richie Worrall to guest a week ago!!! I had no say in it but he'll be fine. Strange that he wasn't consulted. This would back up the rumour that Belle Vue are looking to bring in Worrall as replacement for Stead. -
Imagine it would be 4 home & 4 away which means it would no longer be assessed after 8th May (if no rain offs)
-
No team is invinsible Shropwolf and I'm sure our promoter is more than aware of that. We have lost a meeting before this one. When we were against Wolves a couple of weeks ago, Sarjeant only dropped 1 point to an opposing rider all night and that was PK! Had he been riding, I have no doubt the result would have been very different. 👍 this is the best way I have heard it summed up yet.

big ask as a heat leader. Should get Peter Karlsson or Nick Morris on the phone who are both in great form. Richard Lawson who scores well against Poole. -

No disrespect to any of the named riders but it's going to be a huge blow having no Sarj who at times has matched Garrity for us. We are going to need the whole team to step up. -

Think this will be a home win. Poole look strong throughout and don't think they will get beaten at home much this season. -

I think this will be a home win by 10 We will need our heat leaders back on form. Hoping Bomber was struggling for speed last night at Wolves and it had nothing to do with effects of his heat 3 crash, as has been suggested on Twitter. We need him esp with Sarjeant missing. -
Belle Vue Aces Vs Kings Lynn Stars 27.4.2015

Think you should be okay against us. Bees are without super Sarjeant. King's Lynn is one of our weakest away tracks. King's lynn look good at home esp Lambert & Kerr. -
Although some concerns on their travels,King's Lynn remain unbeaten at home. It's always a tough place for the bees to travel. Robert Lambert is flying at the moment and Rory always seems to ride his best against the bees. King's Lynn are at full strength. Coventry will need a guest for James Sarjeant. He's going to be a big loss again esp when because of the laughable 11th place ranking, there are not many guest options. I personally would go with Max Clegg or Dan Greenwood.
-
Steveburn, I think any team losing by only 2 points would want to race the last heat as any heat advantage would have gave the bees a draw or win, that's how close it was. I would be concerned for any team and manager that didn't.
-
PK really is showing great form. I don't think becoming a heat leader when new averages come in will affect that as more than capable.
-
Great meeting for Robson who was always in the mix. Harris seemed to be struggling a bit for speed tonight. That's now 13pts from 4 away meetings which is brilliant. Another point is that Bees are the only team in the league to have not yet used a TR (hope that doesn't come to a end on Wed 😜) Great to see the two teams speedway star predicted finishing 7th & 8th, currently sitting 1st & 2nd.
