EL doesn't work like that. You can have guests for any rider. Just as your heat leaders can ride at either 1,3,5 (which is why Watt was at 1 for Poole)

Would the Danish league being on a wed not cause a problem for MJJ
-
As you said in your post, that was just a few bees fans, luckily the rest were supportive of him. I don't remember many wanting him out last year, it was the year before many didn't think he was up to the job and to be fair we had a terrible season that year, we finished bottom of the league and had some shockers. Luckily he's improved a lot and shows a lot of passion for Coventry. He's helping our fast draft riders with advice and set ups and is now doing a great job.
-
He's hoping to try and take his place in the Euro final round but think he may struggle as won't be able to drop the clutch. I would be surprised if he completes the meeting. Coventry are hoping he will be fit to return after the international break. With only two teams not riding on Monday, Sam Masters or RR must be the best options to cover Hans.

That's good to hear. Thanks 👍🏻

Track looks terrible. Let's hope it's better for tomorrow
-
TBF the crowd size is usually good at Brandon anyway, even more so when we are against Poole or Wolves even at full price.
-
Not sure it would be a shock when we are without Andersen and Poole have beat us before. Hard to judge without knowing who is guesting for Hans as only Leicester & King's Lynn not racing that night
-
North, Holder & Magic are all over 7 at the moment and with rolling averages and improved form, they all look likely to stay that away. To fit Ward in, it would mean only keeping 1 of the 3 above or replacing magic if he can get his average as high as Ward's.

Davey Watt has been on the decline for a while now. Should be easier for him from now on as won't be a heat leader. Should score as a 2nd string

Coventry Storm V Mildenhall 29th May 2015
mdmc82 replied to mdmc82's topic in National League Speedway
Not surprised. Sadly it has been really heavy rain all morning 😔 Although typically as soon as it's called off the sun has come out and blue sky, although imagine track will be waterlogged after how heavy the rain was earlier -
Coventry Storm V Mildenhall 29th May 2015

Fingers crossed. Rain been heavy all morning but forecast says no rain after 1pm. Depends how much the track can take though as is heavy. -
Was Stefan okay after his crash?

Exactly. I would imagine that the promotion as well as the fans thought this was going to be a 4pt away win and definitely didn't see a TR bring needed. This was the best chance Poole would of had at King's Lynn Against a team without their heat leaders and Porsing out of form. Know I would be more concerned than disappointed.

Thursday May 28, 2015 COVENTRY Storm are looking to move into the top three of the National League table when they face second-placed Mildenhall at Brandon on Friday (7.30pm). The City Gearboxes Storm have made an excellent start to the league campaign having picked up nine points from their opening four matches - all of them away from home. Last weekends 45-44 win at Rye House saw them keep up with the early pace-setters, and a win over the Fen Tigers on Friday will move them to within one point of the top of the table. Despite the success of the Storm project over the last two years, there is one item conspicuously missing from their results sheet - a home win over Mildenhall. The Fen Tigers were twice successful at Brandon in 2013 and then won a dramatic last heat decider last May when the Storm looked set to salvage a draw before a crash on the third bend turned the match back in the visitors favour. This season, Mildenhall have proved strong at home with four wins out of four, and they picked up a point on their travels at Buxton last weekend. The Storm are unchanged from the team which won at Hoddesdon, with Callum Walker continuing in the reserve berth alongside Conor Dwyer. Dan Greenwood returns after missing the last home fixture against Kent in the KO Cup, and he will move to the No.1 position when new averages come into effect next week. The Fen Tigers are led by the reigning National League Riders Champion Dan Halsey and include several promising youngsters - including 22-year-old Tom Bacon, the son of former Coventry rider Mike. They have also recently signed Stefan Farnaby after he was released by the Storm, and he lines up at reserve. Storm boss Laurence Rogers said: This should be a really good meeting against a side just above us in the league table, we need to take three points against them and I think we can do it. The league itself is very competitive this year and the racing has been good everywhere weve gone. I know the coachload of supporters we took to Rye House on Saturday really enjoyed themselves, and now with this being our first home league match hopefully everyone will start getting into it. Its a new team, I had to rebuild over the winter with four new riders coming in, and with the results on the road having been good I really hope the Bees fans will come along and cheer the boys on. Admission for Fridays meeting is just £10 for adults, with all children free, and there is also Midland Development League action between the Coventry Vikings and Milton Keynes. COVENTRY (from): Luke Crang, Conor Dwyer, Dan Greenwood, Martin Knuckey, Darryl Ritchings, Rob Shuttleworth, Callum Walker. MILDENHALL (from): Tom Bacon, Connor Coles, Stefan Farnaby, Dan Halsey, Jack Kingston, Connor Mountain, Luke Ruddick. The weather forecast is looking more promising now with no rain forecast after lunchtime and sun coming out. Let's hope we don't have much before then. I'm hoping to go along and support the boys in their first home fixture of the season. Only £10

Swindon Robins V Coventry Bees 26th May 2015

It's good to see Ashley Morris and Porsing back in the points tonight 👍🏻 Also good to see Holder riding with more confidence. Can anybody remember how Masters usually is at Brandon? 😉
-
Easily pleased if your happy with only a point against a depleted King's Lynn team with only 1 heat leader.
-
Didn't see that coming! Well done to king's Lynn. Lost 2 of their top riders but still managed to dig deep and get a deserved win. Very Poor show from Poole.

Fight back begins for Poole
