  1. 😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴💤💤💤💤💤 (sigh)
  2. Doyle looked very fast in the SWC and was one of the best riders of the night. With the 28 day facility due to end for Bridger, has there been any word on who will replace him?
  3. Thanks. I was just wondering if it meant Hans would be missing for the bees the evening before, meaning a 6pt PL guest. Line up looks really good
  4. Arya if I was you I would stop now before you make yourself look any worse than you already have. Yes you support Poole but if you take off your rose tinted glasses then even you must see that what happened Monday was wrong and had a huge financial effect on Coventry Speedway. Imagine if it had been the other way round, I'm sure then you would have been infuriated. To make up silly sums of how much they made or pay for stadiums etc when you really have no idea just makes you look silly
  5. Is there usually a practice for this meeting?
  6. He was terrible last year wasn't he. Maybe he needed to rehydrate 😂 If Ward's Performance in the World Cup last year is anything to go by then it would have been advantage team GB
  7. I would keep the same 4 as think they did a good job. Let's not forget that Australia's team was made up of 3 GP riders and all 4 riders are heat leaders in the EL yet Team GB kept it very close and that was with an exclusion. Harris & Tai were both brilliant, king had a good meeting and can gate which will help. Lambert let the nerves get to him a bit which reflected in his score but he is 17years old and this is his first time riding for his country on his home track, huge pressure. I think these 4 riders all deserve their place in the race off on Thursday. Poland of course are clear favourites.
  8. Wow Arya, what do you do for a living for you to think £10,000 isn't a lot of money as to most of us is a huge amount. Not sure where you got that they would have made that kind of money either when there was only around 100 people at the most and some could have been season ticket holders or young fans that don't pay to get in. Then you have to take out the cost of stadium, points etc (how do you know how much that adds up to?) I don't think it's the voice of reason that needs to apply some common sense. As for teams moaning about money lost, wasn't it your team that called off a meeting when they had only Shamak missing as they said it would affect the crowd and cause financial loss 😉
  9. Great effort and fight from team GB. All the riders gave it their all and that's all we could ask. 👍🏻🇬🇧
  10. Good unbiased post. Terrible that a team are made to race a meeting and then lose so much money which has a huge impact on the club
  11. In gale force winds and heavy rain, I think even if it had been £5 most would have stayed home rather than go to what looked most likely to be a rain off and not be a full meeting.
  12. No. Each team gets a share of the sky money. They then during the year rely heavily on the admissions money to fund the season. There is usually a packed stadium for Poole & Wolves meetings, would say over 2000 people last year but due to terrible weather conditions & most thinking it would be off there were less than 100 and some of them like myself most likely had season tickets. That's why it's wrong that a club can't call off their meeting any more on the day of a meeting as huge financial loss
  13. No but losing £10,000 due to that farce can't be easy
  14. @BBCcovsport: Mick Horton tells @BBCcovsport that Coventry Bees could pull out of Elite League at the end of the season. More in Tapes Up from 6 Horton on Poole meeting row: "We're very disillusioned. It was a huge meeting. Financially it was a huge loss for the club. It's not right" If he doesn't want to run it anymore, I wonder if anybody else would step in?
  15. @BBCcovsport: Mick Horton tells @BBCcovsport that Coventry Bees could pull out of Elite League at the end of the season. More in Tapes Up from 6 If he doesn't want to continue then maybe we could look for somebody else? 😞
  16. @CzechSpeedway: I was told @officialKLstars are about to sign Václav Milík, but I am not very confident about the source... #czechspeedway
  17. I think £15 for 24 heats is great value. The racing in the NL is often as good as the EL as the riders really go for it. The line up looks very competitive.
  18. It's hard to judge really as Coventry have only had one home fixture against Kent without Greenwood so hard to know how most teams ride the track. I think Cradley & Kent look strong from group B, I think group A is harder to call as Coventry, Birmingham & Eastbourne all look good.
  19. Sounding like a paying fan that was robbed. Easy for people to judge when they weren't there. That was early on before the track was ripped back up and the heavy rain came
  20. Should be a good meeting as the league looks very open this year and a competitive line up. Group A looks a tough one
  21. Then why were Coventry not allowed on Monday? It's been confirmed that they couldn't even by Pearsen who said it was due to weather forecast by yet making the track the way they did and still trying to sort it 5mins before start time didn't help.
  22. It says Garrity has had to withdraw due to injury. Does anybody know what he did as didn't he complete Thursday's meeting after crash and got heat 15?
  23. Extra pressure in Event 2 to make the final as nobody will want to face Poland in the race off
