Coventry V Wolves Friday 10th July
mdmc82 replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Another brilliant result for the bees tonight. Congratulations to Kylmakorpi on his full maximum. The stadium was packed tonight, that has to be one of the biggest attendances of the season. There were even a older couple not far from us with Swindon programme boards who had come to watch. The only positive for Wolves was Thorssell who was easily their best rider and was very competitive throughout the night. -
Welcome back KKS

Swindon should be looking at 4pts from this meeting. No disrespect to Leicester but on paper this should be one of the easier away meetings. Coventry & King's Lynn have both got convincing 4pt wins there & Poole took them to a last heat decider. Leicester are also missing a rider who rides very well at home in Wozniak. I agree though that this is one of Wright's better tracks.

I meant that he knows the track very well. -

I did wonder when I saw Bates listed but assumed Sheffield was a rearranged fixture. -
It's rare Howarth scores that low esp at Poole. He had just been sacked so confidence would have been knocked. All riders are allowed the odd off night. He's good for 9 points most of the time. That's the worrying thing with Robson, as hard as he tries, he is a 4pt rider and sometimes he's not even scoring that. Most of his points are only from finishing ahead of Hans or a opposing reserve esp away from home.
-
The team would have already had to have been redeclared as Krcmar is riding tomorrow. That means either Adrian or Ward would have to ride as the rules are no facility can be granted for a rider who hasn't ridden since the teams been redeclared. However we all know rules mean nothing anymore

I agree. Blackbird & Bates are one of the strongest reserve pairings on our track, both have had good meetings at Coventry. Wells is a track specialist and PK scored 20 on his last visit! Musielak is now a 2nd string which should make it easier for him whilst it will be more of a challenge for Wells as he's now a heat leader. Nobody knows which Lindgren or Andersen will turn up tonight. For the bees, it's Risky having Harris at number 1 although if he rides like he has it the last couple of home meetings then we are in for a treat. Sarjeant it still returning from injury. Robson is struggling. King has been in brilliant form but will have harder rides as back as a heat leader again. As we know, anything can happen on the night Predicted 49-41 -

Good win for Sheffield. Great to see Jason Garrity get a full maximum I don't know much about Berwick but sounds like they had another bad night. -

weather forecast looks good for tomorrow. Starman, I didn't realise you had a soft spot for Wolves. -
Bees name a full-strength line-up for the meeting but boss Gary Havelock has elected to make a positional switch with skipper Chris Harris assuming the No.1 position, and he changes places with Hans Andersen in an experimental move. Danny King has resumed the third heat-leader berth although his middle-order combination with Joonas Kylmakorpi, which sees them ride together in Heat 6 and 14 at home, has been retained. Havelock insists there will be no complacency from his side, who have not suffered a home defeat to any club other than Poole in the last 14 months. The change in riding order is something Ive been thinking about for a while, especially at home, and Ive spoken to the boys about it. Bomber said he'd oride anywhere we wanted him too, he doesnt mind going at No.1, and we know Hans has had a few issues with engines, so I felt just swapping them would be the least disruptive, as Danny and Joonas have been at 3 and 4 all year and theyve just switched around based on their averages and who is third heat-leader at any given time. I felt it was the right time to try it. Bomber is in good enough form to be riding at No.1 anyway, although even if it works I would probably expect to put Hans back at 1 for Lakeside away, on a gaters track where Hans does normally tend to do well. A full night of racing on Friday also features a Midland Development League second-half between the Coventry Vikings and the Wolf Cubs, along with 125cc demonstration races including new national champion Joe Thompson and his twin brother Dan. And the club will also be staging their annual collection for the Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund, which raises vital money for those who have suffered long-term or life-changing injuries whilst competing in the sport. BUILDBASE BEES : Chris Harris, Stuart Robson, Danny King, Joonas Kylmakorpi, Hans Andersen, Jason Garrity, James Sarjeant WOLVERHAMPTON : Freddie Lindgren, Jacob Thorssell, Ricky Wells, Tobiasz Musielak, Peter Karlsson, Josh Bates, Lewis Blackbird

Good night for Garrity. He scored a full maximum for Sheffield in the PL
-
Kyle Hughes tonight in the PL at reserve scored 0,0,0,0,0 😁 huge task for Belle Vue
-
Charles Wright has withdrawn from Somerset's meeting tonight after crashing with Stuart Robson 😞
-
Cook should do better than Batchelor in his recent form Maybe SCB can confirm for us, will Swindon be granted a facility if they have redeclared the team and Ward doesn't ride? As both Ward & Adrian won't have ridden for them since redeclaring?
-
Interesting reply to Bomber's statement on Twitter from Gerhard engines. Maybe Rising can explain why they are supporting Harris. @gerhardengines: @mjpurkis @BomberHarris37 absolutly agree! Keep looking forward! You fans & the @gerhardengines Team are behind you! Maybe

Maybe instead of spending time reading about speedway, you should actually try attending a meeting. Judging by your comments I think it's you that knows nothing about speedway. Speedway has already lost enough clubs, nobody who truly supports our sport would wish for more regardless of who they support. I'm a bit worried as this is not the first time you have mentioned about me & my partner snuggling up, I will be drawing the curtains when he gets home lol. 😱👀

We are still waiting for this evidence you said you have? One minute you had solid evidence of your accusations that Harris demanded more money & the next even you don't seem convinced that any conversation took place. As for your hypothetical post, whats the point of it when you have named the rider you are making serious allegations against. If you lied about the evidence you stated you had then maybe instead of trying to trash the name of a loyal rider of British speedway, you should apologies and think about it before you make slanderous comments again and claim them as truth.
-
But when asked earlier you said YOU HAD EVIDENCE that the conversation took place. Was that a lie then?? Don't you think it would have been best to check if the conversation took place before reporting it as fact and making accusations against a rider?
-
I agree and he should be careful making serious accusations. Phil said he had evidence that Chris demanded money or else he wouldn't ride in. However once caught out he mentions that if wrong he would apologies to Harris. What happened to the evidence?
-
Sounds like somebody is back tracking and trying to dig themselves out of a hole. You made out as if you knew for a fact that Chris had asked for money (and had evidence) yet now you dont seem so sure and it sounds by paragraph 2 that you speculated. Sounds like you are making most of it up as you go along. Seems like a case of assumptions rather than facts, you weren't expecting Harris to defend himself. Think you owe him an apology for you childish false allegations
