Swindon V Coventry Select Thur 4th Sep

I personally still think Poole slightly have the edge going in to the play offs. However anything can happen. -

He is just returning from injury. However if we can get close with Garrity having a off night & minus 3 riders then it's encouraging -

Good night for our missing riders. Howarth scored 11+2, King scored a paid max in the PL (Shame we agreed to a evening when we had riders missing) -
Coventry V Swindon - Wednesday 2nd September

Shame Hans fell when in a 5-1 in the last lap as would have only been a 4 point loss with a patched up team. I believe Howarth would have easily scored than 3 points from 5 rides. Only 4 from Fricke rides as well. Brilliant double figures for our own 2 riders of our top 5. Sounds like Hans had a great night. Lots of positives to take from tonight. Just need to bring in a good replacement for Joonas now. Good to see the teams coming together in the photo for Darcy Ward. -

Swindon are pulling away now but Coventry have done really well to keep it within 2 points for the majority of the meeting when they have 3 riders missing. -

Coventry aren't racing so imagine they might have our captain on standby 😉 -

Bees are without riders so would expect nothing from this meeting tonight. Should be a Robins win against a patched up side -
Foreverblue always looks for fault in anything Coventry. Kylmakorpi has been great for us this season. I think Emil would cost too much even just for a few meetings. I would like Larsen or Shamak as past connection to Coventry and know the tracks well.

Coventry and the track staff did I good job getting the meeting on and getting the track in racing condition after the heavy downpour we had not long before the meeting. -
Poole Pirates Vs Kings Lynn Stars 02/09/15
mdmc82 replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think Poole are definitely favourites for the title. Strong at home anyway but it sounds like what has happened to Ward has really spurred them on to win it for him. -
Gutted to hear that Kylmakorpi is now out for the rest of the season. He has played a huge part in our season and has been one of our strongest riders at Brandon averaging 7+. Big blow for the bees with the play offs so near. The question now is who do Coventry get to replace him at short notice? Coventry have 8.37 to spare which is great but it's having riders out there who want to join. As lovely as it would be I think we can rule out EmiI due to costs. wouldn't mind seeing Larsen back esp in his recent form, Dudek was said to want a EL place although would it be a risk on unfamiliar tracks? Woffy would be brilliant but has already ruled out UK.

Wonder why Nicholls hasn't been asked to guest -

Oh no 😞 and he had been brilliant for us as well esp at home. That's going to be a huge blow heading in to the play offs. -

Brilliant win tonight for the Bees 🐝 I did question Havvy's heat 15 choices but he got it spot on. I was very wrong about Fricke. Brandon is the track he usually struggles on but he was brilliant to watch tonight. Has always gave 100% when guesting. Kildemand is getting annoying now with how often he just drops the bike. Seen it so much lately in the SGP & SEC and again tonight just cos he was getting beat by Garrity & Howarth. He's getting a reputation. It was good to see Rose back from his injury. Congratulations to both teams on making the play offs -

Didn't hear it mentioned tonight at the stadium that Joonas is out for season. Is that confirmed? 😕 -

Aren't Coventry the only team to win at Poole? -

Depending on the Poole v King's Lynn result, Coventry & Swindon could both secure their play off places tonight. Hope the riders from both teams stay safe -

King not big fan of wet tracks either. Could be interesting 😁 -

That was two different teams though with the exception of a handful of riders. Sun is now back out. This weather really is random. -

Our riders aren't fans of a wet track, could swing in Swindon (minus Troy's) favour -

Thanks. Typical isn't it not long before a meeting. It's now more of a drizzle. I would say this means Coventry will have no home advantage now but we never do anyway. -

It is getting heavier 😕 Problem is even though though the sun is trying to come out, the rain isn't letting up. With Swindon already riding Monday and Coventry already riding Wednesday, I think if this is off then it may be ran after the cut off date as no free dates available. -

I would imagine the track should be able to cope with a shower as its light rain at the moment. Imagine it won't have been watered much with showers forecast http://m.bbc.co.uk/weather/cv8 http://m.accuweather.com/en/gb/brandon/dh7-8/hourly-weather-forecast/323094 No more rain is forecast after this -
Surely a tongue in cheek comment that we are best without Joonas, who has been scoring double figures in 3 of his last 4 home meetings as a heat leader 😂
