  1. Garrity also currently injured as in agony with his back.
  2. Yes Magic & Newman should both be fine for Friday. Delay should hopefully give Garrity chance to recover from injury as well.
  3. Well said. Some fans just like a good moan. A bit like those moaning about paying £2 more for seeing their EL team in the play offs.
  4. In fairness all the forecasts I have seen have said heavy rain Monday. We can't afford to have another farce like last time with a play off raced in heavy rain & wind. Will this still be televised I wonder
  5. Sky said last time that it had to be called off 48 hours before. Otherwise it will turn out to be a sham like the last time the teams met. 100% chance of heavy rain on Monday. It's the right call
  6. @SkySpeedway: Weather not looking great for Monday, we are looking at alternative nights with BSPA but hopeful that Manchester will be ok.
  7. Last night 23 races from the 30 were raced. Coventry were prepared to continue but Rye House wouldn't as they couldn't afford for Coventry to get the points as direct competition for the golden cup. The ref called it off, not Coventry
  8. There was lots of talk at the time the draft was being put together that Belle Vue were considering buying Garrity but changed their minds. Garrity was to become a Coventry asset so only right he should ride for us this year. If he's not in the draft next year then I wonder if bees will protect Stefan or Sarjeant (or Barker if rumours are true)
  9. Last night was unfortunate that the rain came when it did. However Rye House knew what they were doing
  10. I agree. Hampel is always up there in the table in the top 3 places. Sadly he has suffered injuries through no fault of his own over the last couple of years. I have missed him in the SGP and hope he will be one of the first wild cards announced. Definitely deserves one. Magic & KK are currently outside the top 8 at the moment
  11. Didn't know they tried, did he not want to be brought by Leicester maybe or Rye house wouldn't sell? I know last year that Belle Vue wanted to buy him when draft idea was announced but Rye House said no. This year he was protected cos he rode for us last year (which I don't agree with) but also because Coventry were sorting a deal to buy him so therefore a potential asset.(so would have been asset)
  12. I'm confused. 23 heats were raced last night so where is the 10 coming from?
  13. Why? Teams like Coventry & King's Lynn have brought some of their assets through the NL and helped develop them. More teams should do the same or buy them as assets if they wanted protected riders. I don't think riders should be protected just because they rode for a team the year before but should be if assets.
  14. After the way he has ridden for Wolves this year I'm not expecting much. Hopefully it will help him having a much better team around him, I will judge on the night.
  15. They have also lost 54-36 there not so long ago and that was with Ward. I'm not convinced North would have so many bike problems in the play offs.
  16. It would as Freddie is in them. However Wednesday's forecast is worse than Monday's.
  17. Sunday 😕Bad sportsmanship from Rye house. Coventry were winning convincingly and only needed two more heats to get the result. However Rye House couldn't afford for this to happen as Coventry would have then gone above them and with only one meeting to go, would have looked favourites for the golden cup qualification. The track was raceable and the rain was light. Really confused by anybody suggesting it was called off by Coventry on purpose, why would they? Only two heats away from 3points which were very needed and the headache of another date to find for the fixture in front of a small crowd. Fingers crossed that Coventry can get the Cradley meeting on Sunday and win.
  18. Poole only finished 4 points ahead of Coventry so wouldn't call that a country mile.
  19. It's a shame that Coventry are now not going to get all their meetings done in time. It puts a lot more pressure on tonight & Sunday
  20. You needed more than one rider using better equipment to get near the play offs. He was the only rider to blame
  21. I'm confused as well. At Brandon Kylmakorpi had scored 4, 11, 12, 15max in our last 4 meetings as a heat leader whilst Lindgren had scored 6 from 5 rides! Not sure why anybody would think it made us stronger. These engines will have to be different to the ones he's used for Wolves. Can't see him bringing his best over though when he has the Swedish final the next day. Why would it be funny? I've got nothing against Poole this year. They have stuck by the same line up and not cheated. I do think they are currently the strongest team in the league.
  22. Hope your right Lisa. whatever happens in the play offs, I have really enjoyed watching this team this year. I'm sure they will give 100% I personally think Poole look the strongest at the moment from the 4 teams. They really seem to be riding well for Darcy
  23. Kylmakorpi has a higher average than Lindgren based on 2015 averages so disagree. However looking at list of guest options he's the best available. Bit worrying based on recent form though.
