Apparently Dakota 000 North is a doubt for this fixture as his dad has had an accident a couple of weeks ago. Surely that's not grounds to miss the meeting
-
As I said at the start of the season, I would have signed Summers over Robson. I'm not sure what was wrong with Howarth last night as it usually good at Brandon, although saying that so is North. Really bad luck they we haven't been able to finish the season with our own team and with Harris & Garrity injured as been an amazing season. This's team can not be faulted on the fight they give and the way they never give up.
-
I have seen some fans suggesting it on Twitter but has it been mentioned my anybody attached to rider or club? Bees website just says he will be monitored over the weekend. Keeping everything crossed as there are no riders in the draft capable of covering anyway but really no options looking at the list Shame we aren't going to see two fully fit teams. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
-
I do agree with Tatum. It's a shame these two teams have met in the semi instead of final as best two teams in the league and now one won't be in it. I think whoever wins at Wimborne Road on Monday have to be favourites to win the title (Poole look most likely esp if Garrity is out) Last nights semi was by far the best of the two first legs.
-
Very frustrating as we know Joonas would have scored more than 3 at home esp when he has been hitting double figures most meetings. Sad to see the decline in Freddie but nothing fast about him. Both Freddie & Walasek have scored badly this year at Poole. Lawson or Thorsell have been better. Personally I think using Lindgren in his current form is a bigger risk than using RR as our own riders should score more than him at Poole.
-
Reports on Facebook and Twitter of a suspected broken ankle for Garrity 😭 Fingers crossed we hear different after his X-rays 🙏🙏
-
Heard several people saying exactly the same tonight. Coventry have won at Poole this season but it's going to be tough. Hoping Garrity will be able to ride.
-
What an amazing atmosphere! Huge credit to both Coventry and Poole who gave it their all and produced an excellent night of entertainment. It felt more like a final. Great to see a good reception from Bees fans for Poole riders on parade as well. Good ref decisions tonight. Gutted that Garrity got injured but what a lad. Pure dedication to the bees. Could watch him all night long. Great performance from Hans tonight. Magic also impressive.

North & Howarth both struggled. We missed Kylmakorpi big time. Nothing fast about Freddie. RR would have been better

It's a bit cloudy but still dry. It's been sunny most of the day.

Lakeside did have a lot of bad luck with injuries at reserve this season. Whilst I still don't think they would have made the play offs with Birks, Boxall or Roynon at reserve, I dont think they would have finished last
-
Not sure how you work that one out lol. Joonas had been scoring 12, 11 and a 15pt Max (against Wolves) in his end meetings. Lindgren scored 6 and most of those were only ahead of a wolves rider 😕
-
He has looked a different rider than last year. I think it hasn't just been down to injuries though. When he guested for Coventry, he told Havvy that he had more fun guesting for us in one meeting than he had had riding for Swindon all season. Greaves was very vocal about the lack of support given to reserves by Rosco and some of the riders last year as well. I think if we see Rose back at King's Lynn next year then we may see him back to his best. He was brilliant last year.
-
Could only have 2 of Doyle, Morris & Zengota as they all have averages over 7. With the mention of a number 1 and the Aussie part, Doyle sounds like the rider Rosco has it mind. He was good with the Robins. I can't see Rosco letting Morris go so maybe Zengota will be the rider to ride elsewhere. Kildemand should be back at Swindon if he's not got the SGP. Think Batchelor has once again been a let down esp as a captain.
-
The weather forecasts are looking good for today now These have been the best two teams all season. Whilst injuries have unfortunately played their part, I hope we see a good meeting and that riders from both teams stay safe.
-
Swindon are looking to mainly use their own assets in 2016 and get the team sorted early. @AdverSport: Robins to have new approach for 2016 line-up: REGARDLESS of the result in Mondays Elite League play-off second leg http://t.co/QLMo3lRgzG
-
Always up there in the top 3 pushing for the championship so yes he will. He's been a big miss this season since he had his injury.
-
He had a good meeting guesting for us. Whilst I agree that Worrall on paper is the strongest reserve esp around the Abbey, It wasn't your reserves that let you down on Monday, it was your heat leaders. Kildemand is a SGP rider who is capable of scoring well in the series so he should be scoring easily as a 2nd string. However he is being beaten by reserves and throwing points away for you by easily going down. Swindon are going to need Rosco & Batchelor to start motivating if they are to stand a chance. Both often look very deflated.
-
He's recovering for injury and had been a doubt until a couple of days ago. It won't have helped crashing in heat 1 tonight. What will be will be. Whilst of course it would be nice to win the league, regardless of whatever happens over the two legs, this team have done us proud with everything they have given this season. They have given us some great entertainment both home and away and a lot of spirit. It's very unfortunate that we have been hit by injuries to key riders at the worst time. Just had a heavy shower 😕☔️ Hoping it's coming now instead of tomorrow 🙏

The weather forecast really is unpredictable. No forecast has rain tonight but yet it is raining lightly at the moment.

Bees Sweating On Bomber's Fitness For Play-off Semi
mdmc82 replied to Main Man's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Press Release . BOMBER DECLARES HIMSELF FIT FOR EL PLAY-OFFS! Bomber will defy the pain barrier to lead his side, The Coventry BUILDBASE Bees in their vital Elite League Play Off clashes with reigning champions Poole Pirates. Chris crashed heavily in Poland riding for his club Rybnik on Sunday ending up battered and bruised. He has been receiving treatment and physio all week and is still very sore. But he is determined to lead his side to the league title , I still ache all over and have bruises galore. But this means so much to me that I will defy the pain barrier to lead the Bees to glory. This means a lot to me , the club, our sponsors and the superb fans and we are hungry for success and need to chalk up a good home advantage on Friday night to take to Poole for the second leg on Monday. The SKY SPORTS Play off Semi-Final at Brandon starts at 8pm on Friday night (September 18th) Best captain in the league 🐝 -

Posf1 - Belle Vue Aces Vs Swindon Robins, 14 Sep 2015
mdmc82 replied to Steve0's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Magic has ridden since his crash although had stitches in his elbow which must be painful, it's not the same as internal bleeding. Harris is hoping to ride even though he has swelling and bad bruising to his ankle, wrist and Arm. A lot of riders might have already pulled out if in pain like Chris, but we have seen him ridden over and still ride.
