Ok, and aren't the clubs forced to use this operator/provider? And if they tried to do something elsewhere it could only be a 100% unofficial site? -

Just a thought, I wonder what would have happened if a programme such as "TOWIE" that seems ever so popular with the masses had been slightly different? As in say alot of the lads and lasses had been avid speedway supporters? Wonder if speedway would have figured in the programme as much as say night clubbing/getting pi##ed and fake tanned, or would the producers have just asked the partakers of the programme not to involve speedway in any of there day to day activities whilst filming. ......... What do you reckon? Are we/speedway so unfashionable....? -
Oh, no takers then...... I could have swore this time last year, there were regulations being considered to be implemented in 2014 reference the compulsory use of leather in modern race suits to prevent serious burn injuries like the ones suffered by Jason Crump and Nicki Pedersen... Must of been "sleeping post reading" then....
-
(FFS) No need to swear!! Its the first time I've posted since someone posted that the "news" would be announced Friday lunchtime!! And as it happens, the sooner I know, the better it is for me.. I am involved in some small way, and a TV deal WILL actually effect my job.... So the sooner I know, the better so I can plan ahead accordingly...
-
Well, its zero hour + around 24, have I missed it? Is it announced somewhere else? Or has the info been PM'D to the chosen few???? Ref TV rights 2014......?

I did not mention the "joker" because I've not heard the term used for the tac sub rule for eons, except in the SWC. Personally, if a team gets that far behind, a point scoring enhancement is ok with me, perhaps there should be additional punishment if its used and fails? Say double points for the win only? 0 points if the tactical rider finishes anywhere else in the race? -

Speedway has issues, and some of the more fundamental ones are its not proper/serious sport because of; 1) Guest Riders The uneducated potential fan does not understand why they are needed, probably put better would be surely the team sport runs a 7 man team, crikey! And they only have 7 team members!!!!! Why have they not got a squad? (Heard newbies laugh at this...) 2) Only able to replace an injured heat leader (in meeting) with a reserve! !!? (Doesn't reward real trying) falls and can't ride again that night, gets replaced by reserve. (Again, see squad post) why not a substitute of equal ability? (Don't forget these are new to the sport people) 3) R/R week after week, why no squad replacement or sign replacement? (Again, new to sport people don't get it) 4) Match rained off (many hours or even day before!) Why? Its not raining now? (Newbie thinking) 5) Rider not riding because he's riding for another team, same country, different team????? (Newbie now thinks its not a real pro sport) 6) Is this team good enough to get promoted/poor enough to get relegated? ? (Yea, Gaz, [newbie] you don't get promoted or relegated, you can choose ti go up/down/stay where you are) When they have picked themselves up off the floor from laughing, they ask why!!!! These are comments and thoughts from people who have been to say... a handful of matches and then don't go again, they are put off for life; and spend there £25 somewhere else... Anybody disagree? How can we change these issues? We know as loyal fans why some of the above are necessary evils of our sport, newbies don't. . and don't come/go ti speedway again.. -

Sorry!! Quotes not working properly, or I am guilty of "Sleep Posting!" The question was meant to be aimed at Synikale or whatever he calls him/herself...... Its ok him making all these statements about his previous success in marketing, but I am guessing he knows the BSPA will not persue this avenue and he could really promise what ever he likes! The offer would never be considered (rightly or wrongly) I really don't believe anyone, no matter how good they are or claim to be could generate enough additional interest in speedway, lost or new footfall, in the volumes required to boost speedway to a position where he says it could be in a single generation!! Over a period of longevity, say a 10 year plan, possibly maybe, but, but, the actual costs and time spent on it would be vast... in my opinion.... We need a short term cost reduction to stabilise the sport short term, and then a decidedly longer term plan to get young brits up to the standard of the foreign equivalents in the sport, which will then generate a following of similar ages as well..... (I want to do what my heroes do) mentality. -

This works with "off the shelf" products, sometimes, when there are millions of users..... remember "Mars Bars" "Coca Cola" But with a minority sport (compared to say footy or rugby) I think not.. However, like a trees/shrubs, giving it a good old severe pruning, does mostly enable them to come back stronger/better looking/controllable. .. so although not an absolute hatchet job of "pruning the speedway tree" it might be enough to invigorate it to start the long growth back to a decent form.... -

When Is A Rider Considered Too Good?
skthecat replied to barrow boy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
And here begins the problem with the PL no longer being a stepping stone between NL and EL. It is now and has been for a number of years a seperate league...... PL promoters don't want to be a stepping stone, its to risky.. promising youngsters are tried all to briefly, if they don't hit the ground running with scores of say 5 and over, they're out, and in comes the the 2nd rate jonny foreigner. ......... And at the other end, Craig Cook and Jason Doyle cream the opposition week in week out.. Jason Doyle, even rode at number one in both EL and PL this year....! That cannot be right or good for the sport in general. How to prevent this? Well, I am not sure, but end it must. Perhaps a cap ob the amount of seasons you can compete in both, then you have to choose one or the other because as it is, its more comparable with say Rugby League and Rugby Union, than it is a First Division and a Second Division..... if you see what I mean...... -

What is menial? Ok, shelf filling, following display plannogrammes, being courteous and helpful to customers, working on the checkout, working in the stockroom.. With the chance of promotion to assistant store manager, then manager, then area shop manager.. Or fastrack route for really promising students to trainees store managers roles.. some will excel, some will fail and either leave industry or stay in lower grade roles... Oh, that sounds familiar, bit like new BSPA plans for the promising yiung british riders......!!!! Some will flourish, some will not, dog eat dog, only fittest survive, natural selection. ... But what do we know...

And I mean £10-£150 RRP Items for a single £1 each! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But, as I said, you have to be and shop savvy.... Bit like team building!!!!!!
