You could be right but based on what I've seen and others comments, Bjerre's confidence is such that when some of the more inexperienced and therefore more "erratic" riders who hold 2nd string positions get near him it may well have the opposite effect. I hope for his sake and the Stars that you are right and my fears are unfounded.

That's far too logical and sensible to be adopted sadly -

Perhaps he's trying to lose the play off Kenny tag by helping Lynn not to get to the play offs -

Looks like the Bjerre revival of last week was a short lived affair. But he did tell us all on twitter that he scored 12 in Poland yesterday so that's OK He should be pulled out of heat 14 and Kerr or Morris given the chance. Not holding my breath tho. -

Not in this case. BV had Howarth guesting for Lambert on their site yesterday therefore Lynn knew before that just couldn't be bothered to tell their fans. Got nothing to do with Poland. -

Still not on the Lynn website which sort of sums up what they think of the fans, which is not a lot it seems. -
Not brilliant angles so all I can conclude is that Auty in first running and Tungate after re run were reckless, no way can that video prove or disprove whether it was deliberate. As for Morriss having his foot near Lunna's head - definitely not proven on that evidence. Even Bobby Ott couldn't have managed that and he got into the most amazing shapes riding a speedway bike whilst fully in control.
-
As I said it was an assumption. There are other officials in attendance - start Marshall etc To turn your argument round, IF Tungate was at fault should he get off scot free because the ref didn't see it? Surely the SCB will view all the evidence from all parties and then make a ruling, that's how justice works. Whether the ref should watch the action until all riders have left the track is another issue as is the competency of referees.
-
I would assume (dangerous I know) that the referee spoke to various officials and witnesses and based his fine on that. I also assume that if Tungate believes he was unfairly fined he can appeal to the SCB in the same way Scunthorpe can if they are not satisfied with the referees actions.. It is possible that had the referee not issued a fine no further action could have been taken later ( I don't know the rule book that well) so erred on the side of caution.

I'm sure Lynn will let everyone know in due course. Monday afternoon at a guess -
I guess it depends what he was actually fined for. Probably "ungentlemanly conduct" so probably not an automatic exclusion from the meeting. As someone said Ipswich should not put him out again. Not because his points might be expunged but for his own safety. If reports are true he should be banned for a long period. There is no justification for actions such as this.

I wouldn't have dreamt of calling you stupid lol
-
And I suggest even if the price were £5, given the weather conditions that day there would have been very few, if any, extra bodies thro the turnstiles which kind of negates your argument about 15 heats for a tenner

Even better

Well it P'd down for about an hour at 0530 this am. Now overcast and breezy. Sun forecast for later so probably 40 days of typical British weather ahead
-
I thought it was just because I'm no longer a regular that I felt that way. It doesn't bode well when someone of your enthusiasm thinks the same

Possibly so but they won't know if they don't try it They could even combine it with the 50th celebration. 50 golden tickets distributed at random allowing free or reduced admission (let the press know, nothing like free advertising lol). Anyone that can prove they were born on the date of the first meeting gets reduced admission. 50 free progs etc. the possibilities are endless and they need not cost the earth. If it were kept going throughout the season and appropriate press releases sent out it would be extra publicity given that most outlets rely on PRs for info. Instead I understand there will be a one of anniversary meeting, which I doubt given the standard of non league matches nowadays will be less than a cracker and only allow publicity for one or possibly two weeks of the season. There again I'm just someone who was there 50 years ago and Lynn speedway has played a very big part in my life. I admit it no longer does but that doesn't mean I don't want it to flourish and succeed. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to see Buster lift the EL Trophy at the end of the season cos he has done as much if not more than anyone else to keep the Stars going.

Tellboy, I don't expect them to tell us their plans re any possible team changes. However this is the 50th year of speedway in Lynn and I've hardly seen a mention of it. In fact if it wasn't for Trees banging the drum I doubt many folk would even realise. For once I'm 100% behind Trees she's had some cracking ideas so far but they seem to have fallen on deaf ears. I know Jonathan Chapman wasn't everyone's cup of tea but he would have shouted it from the rooftops. 50 years is an achievement, it should be celebrated and promoted as a way to get folk interested in the sport. Just ask yourself would Matt Ford be keeping this quiet about 50 years - I think not, and whatever your views on the man one thing he does know how to do is promote and keep his fans happy.

The best PR person in the world can't do a decent job if the management give them nothing to work with. I have no idea if it's the PR or the management, but I'd go for the latter, but something sure is missing. My simplistic reasoning is that if it's the PR person at fault, management would simply change him whereas the PR person hasn't a hope in hell of changing the management.

Can We Get Back To Normal Now
Star Lady replied to Star Lady's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The problem is that the whole Sky team asked everyone their thoughts on Darcy Ward ad infinitum which not only showed total disrespect to the rider being interviewed and his achievement in his race but piled pressure on Ward himself. To be honest I was amazed one of them didn't get in the ambulance and ask Lewis Rose for his thoughts. Every rider who swings his leg over a speedway bike deserves respect. Last night Sky didn't show most of them any. Whatever my views on Ward and his misdemeanours, he has served his ban and as long as he now keeps his nose ,and everything else, clean I welcome him back and my comment is not in any way directed towards him. -
The coming of the messiah live on Sky is over and done with. Can we now get back to normal and acknowledge that there are two teams in every meeting and each team consists of 7 riders ( or 6 occasionally).
