  1. No idea whether it's within the rules but if it's not it should be. He is British, this is Britain and I'd far rather see him get a place than a foreigner.
  2. Not sure we need em Gemini. The forum is jogging along quite happily, I've even taken couple of members off ignore...mighty tempted to put one of them back tho
  3. Not quite all the stops, get Rowe a decent partner then I will agree with you.
  4. Possibly because they have a life away for the BSF My suggestion was simply to allow Barrow Boy to continue to use BSF and forestall a certain member (not your good self) from using it to yet again attack the mods
  5. I'd suggest until he is contacted he re registers as Barrow Boy2, makes his first post on support forum saying what he has done (to keep within the spirit of the rules) and the mods can sort it out at their leisure.
  6. why not go and pollute post on the stock car forums then and give speedway fans a bit of peace
  7. There is a bright side to this. Trees can have a lie in
  8. I don't think there is any doubt about how good or otherwise the contractors are
  9. Both Sky and BT use the BSI feed,. Neither have/had any control on camera angles
  10. What about the thousands of people who have raised and continue to raise money for charity, in some cases far more than Tai, without the beneift of a PR machine behind them. They do so willingly and probably at some cost to themselves and family time wise but do not seek publicity or thanks. I'm not decrying what Tai did for GOSH but had he not had the speedway press, his fans and even the BSF behind him, he would not have raised the amount he did. I'm pretty sure Tai did not do it for the publicity, he did it for the best of reasons but please stop stuffing it down peoples throats because for all you know many of those you complain about are doing exactly the same without the benefits he had..
  11. Doubt the BSPA would object to you putting it on periscope
  12. Possibly Steve, and I admit to be being bloody furious at the time but having been privy to some of what was going on in the pits and speaking to several riders/management before and after the decision to walk was made I can understand why they did it. They were wrong but that wasn't how it was seen at the time. At least it was a pleasant day out on the South Coast beforehand and an interesting drive home, Saw more riders overtaking on the way home than you get in an EL match nowadays
  13. Thanks Rob. I didn't know if BV (or even the authorities) wanted to do the first meeting with a smaller crowd in case of any more track issues arising. Not that I am suggesting, far less wishing, there to be any.
  14. I'd suggest rather than stealing it is obtaining under false pretences. Not that I would ever approve of anything criminal you understand
  15. Getting seriously worried how much I'm agreeing with you lately If his travelling costs for the UK were covered, and that's how I read it, why not drop Sweden for the UK. Haven't heard too much about Sweden paying mega bucks. To say travelling is exhausting is a bit misleading as he lives in the UK and judging by his tweets last year he comes back quite often. Quite simply he doesn't want to ride here, which makes his so called wish to "help" British speedway progress a total farce. I've always judged people on their actions and not their words. Yes he did a massive amount for GOSH and I've applauded him for that but when it comes to British speedway he has lost my support, respect and any admiration that I did once have for him. He won't give a toss I'm sure. My only hope is that the BSPA do not give him any special favours in the future, he has snubbed them several times now and IMHO any support, financial or otherwise, would be far better targetted at young British hopefuls like Kyle Bickley, the Thompsons and the McGurks.
  16. With the Colts match on 29/4 off because of the weather, is there any knock on effect to the above meeting?
  17. Surely that will now be Troy, well from May 18th.
  18. But presumably cos he signed for Lynn late we get a facility when he is missing.
  19. That wasn't because of the track or the riders Steve, I was there that night and the weather was perfect. . Was about averages, Lynn were about 0.1 over and Waggy and Brian Griffin refused to let the team ride. Result was 75-0
  20. If the weather intervenes tomorrow (and I hope it doesn't) and the Colts match does not go ahead, what implications does that have for Mondays EL match if any?
  21. I blame my ageing memory but honestly I was thinking of riders refusing to start a meeting that consequently went ahead.
  22. Thanks for that Steve. Can't remember the last time a single (or couple) of riders refused to ride tho I have seen it in long distant past. I'm on a roll now Do you think the riders should state their opinion openly in a changing room meeting or should it be by secret ballot to avoid "bullying"?
