If Hans doesn't ride again this season fine. However if he rides on Saturday and completes his programmed rides the BSPA should block the move.

That might even persuade me to attend (especially the word in capitals )

You really don't get it do you C4G. Tai can run his training schools, no one objects to it. If folk want to pay to participate that's their free choice. The objection is the BSPA backing it. They to my knowledge have never backed any individual riders training school (quite rightly IMHO). I do not dispute that riders have always learnt from other more experienced/better riders, after all that's how all humans learn most skills. That does not mean they have to go a training school to do so. Does Tai intend to teach these young British riders how to conduct themselves in interviews with the media? Poultec do and I'm pretty sure their teachings will be acceptable to far more people than Tai's examples of profanity in such situations BTW you still haven't addressed the fact that British riders (of any standard) have been restricted in their ability to observe Tai racing in the UK and how he conducts himself in the pits. edited to add I believe that is exactly what Chris Harris has done this season, taking young British riders to GPs with him to allow them to gain from the experience. No backing from the BSPA just a desire to help youngsters. Nothing in the world to stop Tai doing the same
-
No your original point was that the BSPA should back Tai's training schools. Multiple posters have now told you that previous champions did not need to go to training schools, they improved their skills by watching their betters/elders both on track and their actions in the pits. No doubt many of them had multiple conversations with them during and after meetings as well. Of course as I pointed out earlier young British riders have been very limited in their ability to do this with Woffinden because of his not riding in the UK. I have never said Tai Woffinden should not run training schools, my objection is your insistence that the BSPA should back them when they back the perfectly good Poultec scheme.

Makes no odds what nationality a rider is. Briggs, Mauger and Hancock did virtually all of their early years riding in the UK, so in many respects were the same as a Brit. Not sure what that has to do with Woffinden tho Glad you corrected your error. Not exactly sure what that has to do with anything but hey ho. If you are trying to suggest winning the World Championship via a GP series is more difficult that winning a one off final by going thro all the various qualifying rounds that's an entirely different argument. No that's your opinion one which you are perfectly entitled to hold, repeating it ad nauseum does not make it a fact.
-
Ok then tell me who taught....Ove Fundin, Ivan Mauger, Barry Briggs, Tony Rickardsson, Mark Loram, Peter Collins, Gary Havelock, Greg Hancock amongst others (not in chronological order). Are you seriously telling us that each World Champion was responsible for teaching the next? No of course not and that my friend is FACT I doubt many if any of them went to a training school. They may well have learnt from watching the previous champions on track and in the pits but then British riders are at a disadvantage aren't they cos they couldn't observe Tai Woffinden cos he didn't ride in Britain until he need some dosh and to keep match fit for the GPs. That my friend is another FACT

Why would the BSPA support any riders training schools when they have supported the Poultec scheme for some time. Just because someone is very good at what he/she does for a living does not mean they make good teachers/tutors.

Last weather update of the season SCORCHIO -
Now Mel and Sue have quit the Great British Bake Off, I'd suggest Nige and Kelv take over. Just imagine "how did those cherries stay on the muffins" "Whoa, whoa , whoa " as a gingerbread house tatters before collapsing. "Wow, how did he do that " All at full shouting volume...perfect for Channel 4

Which implies that people watch one meeting but no more. If these thousands watched on a regular basis they wouldn't need the rule explained constantly. -

Why does Pearson feel the need to constantly explain the dingly dangly do day double point rule? You never hear footie commentators explain the off side rule! -

Speedway Referee Numbers In Decline
Star Lady replied to Dickie Head's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I think what Bryn may have been refering to is the fact that if, heaven forbid, a rider is killed the referee (and other officials) have to go thro the whole gamut of legal procedures, police statements, inquests etc. Having witnessed a fatal crash and never being able to completely get it out of my mind, I can only imagine what having to go over and over the incident and all the things leading up to it and following on from it would do. So no they don't have to treat injured riders, paramedics do that (any sympathy for them from you BTW), but they do have overall responsibility for the track and the riders on it, should anything untoward occur. -
Dont expect Nicolai Klindt to ride then It's appalling the lack of thought for fans. Both clubs failing to tell fans it's off as quickly as possible. How long does it take to send a tweet? Was called off well before one, so if hotels had been booked they could have been cancelled but at nearly half past one neither club have told fans it's off. If they are going to employ firms to do their PR for them at least get ones who are efficient and competent. Rant over.

Any decent PR firms on the transfer market, King's Lynn could do with signing one

Couldn't let this one go by. I think most Lynn fans would kill for a management team like Middlo and Ford this season. I suggest you read a few Lynn home match threads and see how many meetings there are described as boring. Last night was better than many Sky meetings (admittedly due to MPT) and better than those shown from Lynn this season? Sky not picking the best meetings - yep their track record isn't good but that's hardly the fault of Poole. -
You are entitled to your opinion but some of us find facebook very useful for keeping in touch with folk we only meet at speedway meetings once or twice a year. Seems like you won't be one of them

I agree with most of that but it's never easy to progress when surrounded by negativity and mediocrity and let's face it that's what Lynn have excelled at this season. Not going ro make myself popular here and I'd hate to see I but I think to kick start his progression Lambert needs to move to another EL club if only for one season. He needs sponsors to get GP standard equipment and that is expensive. Not many of those type sponsors in Norfolk. Apart from equipment his biggest drawback is his gating, surely there must be someone around who could help him develop this skill, cos he has everything else. -
